  2. YOU ARE ONE HUGE PILE OF SUCK RIGHT NOW!!! The man is 0-31, do you know how rare that is? Even Bobby Abreu gets a hit once in awhile! Speaking of Abreu...Julio, why the F didnt you sit there and take 3 straight pitches like he does? You know that look that Bobby gives the ump when he takes a called 3rd strike? You know, its the "Hey, you dont call strike 3 on me, I am Bobby Abreu damnit." Thats the look I wanted from you right there. If you get the count to 3-0, and your name is Julio Lugo...you DO NOT SWING THE F*$#^&* BAT!!! You take the next 3 pitches!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Thanks for the Neg Rep on this post JGB!!! I got a ton of positive rep for it... I guess some support this feeling but not all want to say it. Hmmm, imagine that. I'm sure this post will generate more neg rep... bring it.

  4. Shasta... You know nothing about the game of football... If you can honestly say Leon is nothing more than a 3rd down back, you know NOTHING... And I mean NOTHING. Thanks for showing us all how much you really know, or in other words... Dont know. He would be the KR for the Jets if not for J.Miller who is one of the best in the game. And he is also a PR for the Jets now. So I guess he is just a KR, PR, 3rd down back... Sorry to say but now that he is running behing T.Jones, he is going to be a great back no matter what down it is on. GL with Maroney and his shoulder problems.

  6. Flash back 5 years ago, "I would take Chad Pennington over Tom Brady any day of the week." Washington is a nice little 3rd down RB nothing more, a dime a dozen.

  8. Yes, a few will be lost along the way, that can't be helped. The good news is for thoses that can add A+B=C, it will open a whole new world to them. Remember, with all growth comes a little pain.

  9. A damn unbiased post, I'm I am impressed. Although I think the price was a little high, it was to be expected considering the Pats took him from a division rival. My prediction, Welker will be a third down "go to guy" much the same way Troy Brown was in his prime.

  10. No. Maybe I'm being over-sensitive (and Joe does take a lot of abuse from me - and vice versa - and I suspect no one loses sleep over it either. ), but listen to this story: Today, I received an email from my boss saying that one of the attorney's was told by someone on the phone that the receptionist called them by their first name. My oh my! Biatch! Anyway, he told me that perhaps I should remind my staff about being "professional" at all times. Now, that set me off. Having my staff thrown under the bus just bugs me. I asked the main receptionist and she tells me that the person on the phone was rude, angry and called her by her first name and requested that he announce the call "Bill is on the line." Which she did. I have a lot of faith in the receptionist and I rather doubt she's a liar. The man on the line was an attorney. Who do you think is the liar? I'm a little pissy that 1) these attorney's are poop heads, 2) that the attorney goes over MY head and 3) that to appease these arseholes, you just bite bullett and have the "staff" take the abuse? I call bullsh*t! I told my boss as much too. That's just ridiculous.

  11. People, we're supposed to be thinking of excuses for the 2007 Yankees and their limitless suckitude... Here, I got another one: -Everything will be OK when Roger Clemens comes back. Bwa-hahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahaha

  12. Just who should be playing CF for the Bronx ...ahem... Bombers? Melk Dud or the Corpse of Johnny Damon? Lets see: 1. At the plate: Melk Dud still hasnt figured out the strike zone. He swings at pitches by his shoes. Not sure he will ever be a threat as a hitter. Damon (once a catalyst leadoff hitter) is so bad lately, Coco Crisp is one big night away from hitting for a higher average. 2. On the basepath: Melky is a horrible baserunner...Damon, once prolific, has rapidly aged in a small amount of time and looks terribly lethargic. He probably should have been on the DL weeks ago. Why Boy Brian hasnt insisted on this is beyond me? I would assume that a shot Damon is still better than any option on the bench or in the minors. 3. In the field...Johnny's arm is worse than many of those of my students, who are in 4th grade. Melky actually has a really good arm in CF. He does look lost when playing out there though, even to my untrained eye. Yankee fans who rave about his defense are just being homers. melk dud plyed well in left though last year when subbing for Matsui. Maybe Bugg can shed light on this since he is the only Yankee fan who knows his @ss from a hole in the ground. Right now, I have no idea who should be playing CF in NY...

  13. 80, please, for the Love of God...Forget about Schoenweiss. The Mets are clearly the class of the NL. Milwaukee? San Diego? The freakin' Dodgers? Playa Please! Look at what they've done without Pedro even throwing a single pitch. You know that Delgado will come around, you know that Beltran will tear it up in the 2nd half, you know that Wright and Reyes are only getting better every day as they have not even begun to show the world what they are capable of. Youre like a nanosecond away from a dynasty with those 2. Minaya hasnt made many mistakes, and yes, Schoenweiss sucks right now...but youre going to need someone to pitch mop-up because the Mets will be on the business end of some lopsided victories this year. YOU dont want to over-use Feliciano, who is filthy. Need I remind you that you have John F'n Maine on your roster??? He's 4th in the NL in ERA at 2.87, 5th in wins with 8, and only 75 hits in 94 innings. His use and location of his off speed pitches is Beckettesque. The 2007 replay of the 1986 World Series is gonna be something very special to watch. Expect a totally different outcome though

  15. Ya know...I tried to tell y'all that JBF gets more @ss than a toilet seat, but Bob and GJH got about a year of material out of that one! Edit: CAN WE PLEASE STAY ON THE SUBJECT PLEASE...Melk Dud -vs- the Corpse of Johnny Damon.

  17. Oh that one hurts alright. It hurts worse than a losing a tied road game in the 9th inning (walkoff walk style) in a game where Mo Rivera is getting rest!

  18. Why? You gonna privately ban me again for saying that the Yankees suck, then because of massive public outcry, relinquinsh the ban and blame the whole thing on me acting like a baby? Like I would have missed it otherwise if I werent banned? Every single night of that 3 week stretch...the Red Sox won nightly and the Yankees seemingly lost!!!

  19. No, youre right. But from 01-05, here is what we did see from Yankee fans: -they were pontificating about their team, ballwashing the likes of Rogah, Wells, Sheffroid*, and Randy Johnson...all of whom I HATE, Yankee Hater nation hates, and ALL Yankee fans hate deep down! -We had to listen to Yankee fans talking about how much the rest of the baseball world were beneath them! -We had to watch fat george and Boy Brian do whatever they can to ruin baseball economically, AND ACTUALLY FAIL ONLY BECAUSE THEY DROPPED THE BALL ON SIGNING SOOOO MANY HIGHLY TOUTED VETERANS THAT CANNOT PLAY WELL UNDER ANY TYPE OF PRESSURE! -We have had to watch Johnny Damon and Jason Giambi* cut their mullets and shave their horrid facial hair. -Lastly, we have had to put up with Yankee fans making excuse after excuse for the fact that the Yankees have fallen short every year for the past 6 years. I hope this explains the excuse thread.

  20. Uh huh...its so weak and boring that you decided to LITERALLY rip off his name in honor of his right-on-target 100% of the time insight and honesty!!! The Real 80 posts circles around the Yankee Fan Circle Jerk Crew, always has, always will! Imitation is the sincerest form of flatery, but being obsessed with the dude is a whole 'nother thing.

  21. Let me see if I can get this straight...a scumbag psycho strangles his gorgeous wife whom he is undeserving of, suffocates his 7 YEAR OLD son, then thankfully kills himself. And now its is the steroids that drove him to depression and rage!?!?!?!? Garb is right, why couldnt he just kill himself and not take the lives of 2 inocent people???

  24. I mean it...these Yankee fans used to have a sense of humor about these kinds of things...now look at 'em. Bunch of sore losers! Every single one of us in Yankee Hater Nation has experienced the pain of our teams' being hopelessly futile and insignificant! We took it in stride and sometimes laughed it off...you people are f'n sad! Your team finally sucks after a decade and you cant even take a joke without banning everyone under the sun!

  25. Actually, if youre doing a "Why do the 2007 Yankees gargle my nut$" pie graph, "hitting" wont be as big as you think as the Yanks have won their share of lopsided contests. Now if you want to say "clutch" hitting has been a problem...I'll buy that as you have NO CLUTCH LEFT-HANDED BATS TO SPEAK OF. But to say just hitting is inaccurate. A-rod & Jeter are having great years at the plate and Whore-hey is continuing his inexplicable dink-hit fest every day. Sh*tty defense has been the biggest problem because it is! Its been a constant. Now you have pitchers showing up their teammates on the mound (Pettite no less) because of lackluster play in the field. Its been (giving up 4+ outs per inning) the root cause of most of your pitchers coming unglued and giving up leads or making deficits insurmountable. You know what they say...Death, Taxes, and Past a diving Jeter!!!

  26. This is yet another (excuse me for a second...yaaaaaaaaawn) personal attack directed squarely at me. Evem the most ardent JBF hater on JetNation would have to agree with me on this one. Even those of you who wouldnt agree with me if I said the sky were blue and grass were green. A comment such as this would totally have gotten me banned for life. This person will receive nothing for his effort regarding a warning or whatever! Just offering yet another piece of evidence that its not personal attacks that mods are so offended by...it is anti-Yankee smack!!!!

  27. I would agree with that based on last year being a off year for Big Ben, however it can be said that last year was an off-year for Pennington to. After all it was the first season the 31 year old QB played every game. If they both play to averages this year, Penny won't be beating Rothlessburger in Madden.
