  1. 95% Wah, wah, wah. When did Chauncey Washington become a big deal? The only reason we were supposed to care about him was as a just in case LT is finished, well LT isn't so screw this loser. McKnight had more yards on one punt return than anything Washington has ever done and Washington put the ball on the ground in preaseaon too. 3.7 ypc against stiffs and you guys are crying? You all say you can get scrap heap RBs all the time, so why care about this?

  3. Yeah that really is it. Because 'Feed the Dolphin' would only lead to Ronnie Brown being sliced from neck to groin at the hands of a Japanese fisherman.

  4. The hardest thing a RB gets asked to do -as far as knowing the system is concerned- is picking up blitzes. Otherwise, taking handoffs is one of the easiest things an NFL player can walk in and do right off the bat. Danny Woodhead scored a TD for the Pats 10 days after he signed with the team. It's not rocket science. If LT or Greene were to get hurt, the other one would pick up most of the slack. Brad Smith can take reps at RB. So can eirther of their FB's. Joe McKnight could conceivably be activated and he could carry the football, too. The Jets have options. A lot of them. Includ

  7. You are only allowed to do that with the "3rd QB" the rest of the inactives are not allowed to be in uniform. The 3rd QB needs to be in case he goes into the game.

  9. This comes from a guy who's a fan of a team that hasn;t won a playoff game since before he was born. Personally winning a couple playoff games feel better than getting trounced to the point where it makes you realize you shouldn;t have been their in the first place.

  10. You know what's really funny about that Crush? You and I joined JI at around the same time six years ago, so did JiF, RJF, CTM, EY, JetsBabe, Johnny Hector, and a bunch of others. You know what hasn't happened since we all first joined JI? The Pats haven't won a championship. Coincidence?

  13. Man, you guys really know how to pile it on a rookie who's having his problems, don't you? Saying a guy is no good and should be cut is one thing. You fellas seem intent on saying he's totally ruined the whole roster. And yes, you generally keep your fourth round choice a year even if he looks bad. Oddly, it not that unusual to cut fifth round picks the first year.

  15. Every Wideout we have other than Cotchery is a Free Agent or Restricted Free agent this year (depending on CBA). Having a developmental guy around isn't a bad idea. In one breathe you complain about our depth at 4th RB, but then you say we don't need depth at TE or WR?

  17. Wow that was pathetic and sad. Guess what numbnuts, you can point to three or four passes thrown by every single QB in every single game played that were almost picked off. The Jets almost picked off Henne three or four times Sunday night as well. The Jets actually did pick off Henne when it counted most. Do me a favor, instead of worrying about our QB, who just shredded your defense like they weren't on the field and seems to play his best when the pressure is the highest, worry about your own QB, who seems to be developing a very bad habit of coming up small when it matters

  21. By Jeff Capellini, CBSNewYork.com NEW YORK (CBS 2) — Though it’s true the Jets pulled off an enormous win in Miami on Sunday night and on many levels deserve to feel the love they are getting right now, they shouldn’t read too much into their record or standing atop the AFC East. They have many problems and none of them have the least bit to do with Mark Sanchez, the biggest question mark of all coming into the season. A lot of people woke up Monday and were greeted with stories of praise following the team’s 31-23 victory. Writers and bloggers alike gushed about how the Jets gu

  22. I cant understand what happened with this kid. A 6-5 QB with a strong arm who displayed very good pocket presence under pressure never gets a shot to play even on teams with horrible QB situations like the Browns and the Jaguars ? Mangini being an Idiot is one reason, but the kid at least deserved one chance since Manginis situation the last few years was a joke in Cleveland and he had to have him as part of the Edwards trade. Something else must be going on because all this kid did was play well when he got the chance in Preseason. I used Tony Romo as an example in the past when the Cow

  26. Word. As much as I love Joe Montana, Peyton Manning is the only QB I've ever watched play who consistently completes passes to receivers that are perfectly covered. Homeboy threw TD passes to two(!) different Caucasian(!) WR's this week. That hasn't happened since 1896.

  28. I think the assumption with Turner is that if you put him in in at LG now, and then if Mangold or Woody get knocked out, you're stuck with Ducasse or Slauson playing a position which they've barely practiced for this year. And that's a pretty big matzoh ball to be dealing with considering how bad both have looked at a position they've seen significant time in. Don't underestimate the fact that Turner was pretty awesome subbing in for Mangold in the win against the Patriots. His role in that fashion becomes even more important with Hunter missing time. I'm not saying I agree with it, but I c

  32. Even with Revis on the field, the secondary is still essentially dealing with having 3 brand new starters who are completely new to the entire scheme. We saw it in the Baltimore game. Cromartie and Wilson are works in progress because they've never played in a press coverage scheme where DB's carry this much responsibility on their shoulders. Rex himself said they're having a ton of communication problems which are fairly obvious to the naked eye. The good news is this likely gets fixed over time and it's highly unlikely that Rex dares a QB that blatantly to beat him for the majority of th

  35. I hate the dolphins more than any other team, but I know a good team when I see one. And having played the patriots and dolphins in back to back weeks, the Dolphins are 10 times better than the pats. Brady with all of his weapons couldnt manage more than 80 yards in the second half with no revis. Henne threw all over the field with no revis. Brady oughta be ashamed of himself. The dolphins are a good team as much as we would hate to say it, and its going to be us and them for the next decade because the patriots are just terrible right now, to use a rocky 3 reference they lost the eye of the t

  37. The Week 1 game, they actually avoided him, all big plays came on other CB's or in zone. In the second game, the Pats did nothing and Revis got a pick. So you're making stuff up. The Cowboys game? He had Owens shut down until the TD, which was an amazing catch and had nothing to do with Revis being lost. Wilson, is lost like 75% of the time and until he gets that sorted he can't be a starting CB. I'm sorry. You think I'm saying this "now that Revis is the best". Look up ANY of my posts concerning Revis. I knew from DAY 1 he was a ******* good one. It was obvious. The athleticis
