  1. Thanks Tom. The 98 reference is a good one. I think that team overachieved big time.

  3. What I did was, I looked at the map, and I saw that Connecticut was in Yellow. Then, I looked at the map key and saw the Patriots game was in Yellow too. From there, I concluded that the Patriots game was on in Connecticut.

  4. LOL. Yes, I understand how it works. My point is when the interest rate is 4.25% and you are getting a tax deduction on that money, you can probably out perform that elsewhere.

  7. The only thing embarrassing about this, is the people over-analyzing and critiquing it. Just like Rex's "snack fine" on Hard Knocks, this is just meant to serve as a playful reminder. For Rex the playful reminder was, stop eating you fat ****. For Mark it is stop pouting like Brady, you ******* pussy. We should have a stop reading into this fine for some of the loons on this site.

  12. I'm not getting this, the guy gets a little banged up in practice and suddenly the hate comes out on him full force. Forget his prior injuries, the fact is that the next day he practiced fully and is playing Sunday. Not that Pool has been fantastic, but some of the stuff in this thread is a little much. The guy has missed a grand total of ONE game for the Jets this season and prior to that, was playing for the team that EASILY has the worst medical staff in the entire league. There's been multiple reports that he was misdiagnosed by the Browns medical staff multiple times. I'm glad he'll be playing and considering the guy was a low-dollar FA pickup I'm happy with how he's played. He may not be dominating out there, but he's also not the one getting beat like a drum out there like Leonhard and Smith every time he's in coverage.

  13. Yeah ... he's absolutely ace ... Which of the 2 abominations for touchdowns that he performed to lose the game for the Cards last week did you like best? The scorched pass coverage, or the turnstile imitation on the run? I'm torn between the 2 myself but really leaning toward the turnstile move. It seems to be a variation of his famous Full Toreador ... this one is different though because it doesn't even slow the runner down ... decide for yourself

  15. I'd rather have Pool on the training table--even though he is fine for Sunday apparently, so this point is moot--then Rhodes out there, who is a massive liability tackling in the open field and isn't much better at coverage. He was getting owned against the Bucs...

  16. It's CIMINI. Reminder: it's CIMINI. This is what he tries to do, sees problems with the Jets which aren't there. He is just a douchebag trying to stir up controversy. Don't worry.

  17. Agreed. Phil Simms was an emotional QB who played his entire career with bad body language. Ditto Bradshaw, Stabler, and our own beloved Namath, all of whom you can see in various NFL Films kicking the dirt or walking off the field pouting after an interception. Even The Great Manning, who in my mind, is the King of Bad Body Language when adversity hits. Doesn't mean he can't play. Rex and company are going to far with the way they treat this kid. Let him play, make mistakes and learn like every other QB that's ever played. They got this kid wound so tight he doesn't know whether to sh*t or wind his wristwatch. Enough of the nonsense.

  19. JIF maybe our defintion of Beast is whats holding us back here. My definition of a beast is a guy like Earl Campbell, you know a guy who runs people over because hes a BEAST. Walter Peyton was also a beast because when tacklers came near him on the sidelines HE NEVER ran out of bounds he lowered his shoulder and delivered a crushing blow. Kind of like Shonn Greene ran in the playoffs last year knocking over tacklers and running through them. Thats not McFadden and never ever will be. He has talent (speed) but when it comes to breaking tackles and making safties pay and think twice about the next tackle McFadden is way down on the bottom of the list, hes no a beast.

  20. Thank you, I knew I was not imagining it. JIF was spinning his evil spells on meh. Hes playing GOOD JIF and I gave him credit but hes far from a beast, very far.
