Could you ******* imagine drinking with him? Crusher: mmmmm bere JiF: Cold Beer rocks, sup ladies Ape: Well the thing is this beer is one that has strawberries infused into it and that gives it that effervescent sparkle that tickles your throat as you swallow it. Personally I would have rubbed the strawberries on my nads first but not everyone is as forward thinking as I am. I first discovered this beer after sipping a lager that just didn;t have the amount of dazzle my refined pallet has come to expect form a good beer. I was thinking to myself, "What can make this beer more exotic and at the same time add some fruityness." Strawberriess!! Then I came in here and obviously the beer makers had a good read on me and low and behold this beer was in the cooler and I drank it and realized it's exactly what I was thinking. Well... minus the pre-treating the strawberries with a good testicular rub but hey can;t have everything..5 points

He is on his soapbox, screaming that players who knew about these bounties placed on players by the Saints and Skins should have stepped up, and "outed" the coaches and players involved. How could the players on the Saints and Skins who knew about it (ie Drew Brees) not stopped these acts from happening? They should have stepped up like men! What a condescending POS. He was the defensive captain of the team when Spygate was happening. He saw these videos of other teams sidelines. These videos gave his team unfair advantages, yet he had no problem with them whatsoever. He saw the Rams walk through Super Bowl practices on tape. Why didn't he step up and be the man of integrity he claims to be now, and say something? Why? Because he's a POS Patsie that now has a mike in his hand, telling others what is right and wrong.1 point

I made a thread I believe back in January about Jason Campbell. This kid has talent. Its just that he's never been in the same system for more than a year. He's never been comfortable. Let him compete with Sanchez and given that Sparano was just signed I HIGHLY doubt he'll blow up the offense and be fired in a year. Jason Campbell I think is a baller and is a better pick than trying to get/pay manning. I just dont like it. It has never, ever worked out for us, no matter the player/position. The closest we got is Favre and he got injured, threw 22 picks and we got bumped out of playoff contention by the very QB that we let go. YOU SIMPLY CANT MAKE SH_T UP LIKE THAT. Im telling you, thats the luck of the Jets. Something crazy would happen like Luck would have a crazy year and bump us out of the AFC championship game or something outrageous like that. Lets get Campbell, give Sanchez some coaching that can develop him but at the same time let him know that his job isnt safe. This is the best possible move the jets can make given that they invested a 5th round pick, plus more given the move up for Sanchez. You cant give up on a QB that has very similar stats to Eli in his first 3 years and technically Win/Loss wise has a better record than what Eli did, and Eli had more competent offensive coaches around him. Jason Campbell is a player that Sanchez can learn from, he'll save us money, he's a veteran that can compete with sanchez or replace him if Sanchez gets hurt. This makes much more sense for our future. Now if the Jets are thinking Superbowl or bust then Manning is your guy, period.1 point

We get it, you want to bail on our 1st round QB after on 3 seasons. You'd rather blow it all up, and start over from scratch. I get it, you want the Jets to go after Peyton, when we can not afford him whatsoever. You want immediate results from your 3rd year QB. Because he didn't give you the Superbowl his coach promised you, you've decided enough is enough. He sucks, and we should go all in with Peyton, and no one else. Even though we won't be able to afford him, this makes most sense. Unless you think that the Jason Campbells of the world are better solutions. Fortunately I believe in Tanny, the coach, and our young QB can rebound after an 8-8 season. I think that's the direction the organization will take. You can piss, moan scream. You can huddle with the SOJ crowd, you and your cohorts can all piss an moan. You and your clan can even decide not to spend another penny on this team. It's okay, I understand you just can't handle the reality that ownership, and management have invested alot in this player, and choose to ride it out longer than the JaMarcus Russell experiment. Accept it. Enjoy the ride. Because quite frankly these past 3 years have been the best in this franchises history.1 point

This seems like wishful thinking. 3rd in the league in QBR. 2nd in the league in YPG. 4th in TDs. 4th in completion percentage. Oh, and was one completion away from Super Bowl Champion. If he's healthy, I don't see any reason why he isn't owning the AFCE and us for another 3 or 4 years at a minimum.1 point

The Jets did not release Leon Washington. He was a RFA (not under a long-term deal) and they traded him for a pick while he was still recovering from a compound leg fracture. I think he was walking not running at the time. Great trade. He has been a total zero as a RB since then. The Jets did not release Brad Smith. The Bills signed him to an idiotic contract far greater than his value. It would have been asinine to match or beat their offer. The Jets released Cotchery only after he requested to be released. His discontent stemmed from the Jets demoting him, basically feeling he was not worthy of a starting role. This sentiment was shared by all 31 other teams and he eventually signed on for peanuts to be the Steelers' 4th string WR. Ellis was not released. The Jets gave him a long-term deal and he played out that entire contract. The Pats offered him $4M or $5M for 2011. The Jets appropriately did not match. Coles was one of the most despicable players in team history with respect to contracts. Just a miserable prick. Scott is getting guaranteed money in 2012 in exchange for considerations in 2011. The Jets did not break new ground here. Frankly the worst part about it is he isn't worth half what he's guaranteed this season. The Jets have made some real bonehead moves, I seriously have no idea what you're talking about with these players. The only one they released was due to the player's own request. And that player sucked overall the prior season, dropping like 20% of the passes thrown his way.1 point

It's over a decade now? Wow, the legend of an overblown "crime" perpetuated by ESPN for ratings grows still....helps that half the staff at ESPN are New Yorkers. This is what I think: Bountygate is probably alot like spygate. Most everyone does it, but only one gets caught and made an example of. And more to my point - everyone's a freakin' hypocrite. Also, generally speaking, Jets fans are angry people. Very angry. Relax. Have a coacktail.1 point

Nice. All Belichick did was defraud the league and steal a few Super Bowls. The Saints players throw a couple of bucks around to do sh*t they're going to do anyway and Big Rog gets to play moral relativist.1 point
-
The Saints are in for a serious sh*t storm now, there's no doubt about that. It's certainly something that has been done by a number of other teams before, but that doesn't mean a damn thing when you're the first ones caught doing it. As others have already said, given the NFL's endless preaching about player safety in recent years, you have to imagine they're going to really tear the Saints a new one on this. Should be interesting to see how the media plays it out, given the fact that I don't think the Saints are a particularly disliked team. Let's be honest, the fact that pretty much everyone outside of NE already hated the Pats made spygate a lot easier for the media to figure out their portrayal.1 point
