P.S. Binge watching is a good thing to do. Believe it or not you're actually increasing the stats that Netflix tracks when you binge watch, which leads to them shelling out the $$$ to produce more shows (this is why they invested a lot into keeping House of Cards going and they upload entire seasons at once). Moral of the story, you're not being a lazy lard ass when you're binge watching, you're contributing to the financing of art. That's how I justify it at least.2 points

Watching Rex develop Smith this year was a thing of beauty. I think he handled Sanchez poorly in that he let him be an immature pimp with no consequences ever, but he had clearly learned and grown. We will now reap the rewards of a real QB in Smith. The last four games showed so much promise and I can't wait to see Geno break out this year thanks to Rex Ryan. Now let's get him a weapon or two in the draft/free agency/trade and profit!1 point

They probably outsource his action to Vegas at this point, I wouldn't want to be responsible for a guy like this1 point

What I'm saying is that there is such a thing as paying a player, whether a free agent or your own and getting your money's worth, especially when the value of that dollar is changing compounded by the fact that your roster is very bad and you are paying for very very bad and therefore have cap money. Where were you when the Broncos drafted Manning, by the way? I think everyone should remember where they were on that day. And by the way, the Broncos and Seahawks had two of the highest payrolls in football last year at 133.5 and 132.6. Only the Chiefs were higher at 134.81 point

Happy birthday to a great site with great posters. The Cleveland road trip is probably my fondest memory (Chris Baker was forced out, I stand by that).1 point

ONLY if they make audiences sit through the song used to summon him, in full. That scene was longer than the movie itself.1 point

I can't understand why any GM woukd pick him early .. even if he can play his game in the pros with success (a considerable if) he will 100% blow out his knee and never be the same at some point1 point

No it would not. No one gives a $hit about the Jets. Anyways....Bleacher Report...the breaker of NFL News. Trading is not economical short of getting Calvin Johnson back. His cap hit would go up if they traded him. Cutting him does not save all that much money whether now or at June 2nd. Plus, that leaves only Tompkins and Dobson under contract and Gronk's status unknown. Possible? Sure, but unless Edelmann is in the fold, there is little reason to cut him now.1 point

Wow, I can't imagine how much this site has helped me maintain my sanity over those nine years. I still remember having taken a break from JN because it seemed to be getting invaded by angry teenagers when I got the invite to try JN. So glad I did. Thanks for all the hard work Max and the mods.1 point

Damn that's gone by fast! Almost 8 yrs for me and this profile, but I did just read as a guest for a while before I joined. Was jetnation named and ran by anyone else before you Max? I could swear I've been reading this board since 03, before I moved here from Florida. But then again I'm getting old and senile. Lol Semper Fi1 point

Ok here let me draw you a picture. in 2012, the Jets were tied for 25th in the league in sacks. Last year Coples beat Wilkerson by half a sack this year. This year, Wilkerson has already doubled Coples 2012 production with 3 games left. Conversely, Coples sacks have been cut in half but since the season is not yet over, and Santa Clause may still come this year, you never know, Coples might just get a half dozen sacks and Wilkerson may ride pine to preserve him for 2014 even though Rex is coaching for his job. Like the NY Lotto, hey you never know.1 point

Richardson is going to be a cotender for DROY, Mo for Pro Bowl. Snacks is doing great for a walk on, better than Coples. They can't carry the line every game. Was Coples hurt for all of 2012? No, so what's the excuse for that? I agree with OP. Average is not what we expect.1 point

9-7 and some losses by Baltimore can get us in or something. These guys are so motivated now instead of when they actually owned the wildcard that they skipped victory monday. Not even close. Lebron went to Miami and was and is the top dog and that was never in question. Melo just isn't that good. He's a better version of Big Dog. This year is on him as much as anyone.-1 points
