I'm sick of the Jets running their franchise in fear and awe of the Patriots. F*ck them. Let's be us.11 points

Ughhh Brandon Marshall is good. This sucks. -ilk9 points

Makes little difference since the Jets (unlike Chicago) would never consider cutting Marshall this year. Sorry but this is an excellent trade for a team that (once Harvin's gone) had some $65M in cap room. Like a 5th for Santonio Holmes. I make that trade every year. Just don't re-sign him with $20M guaranteed because he's a young scumbag. Sure he was cheap, but money is not an issue for the Jets right now. And since he was only a 5th and is only locked in here for 1 season if we so desire, it in no way precludes us from still taking a WR at #6 (if that's who Maccagnan has as #1 on6 points

Start making up your shortlists for our next GM and coach, because this group is clueless.6 points

Coach Bowles knows him first-hand during their time with the Dolphins, I'm not worried about work ethic, Todd knows what he wants in a player. SAR I5 points

I'm really tired of always getting the team you guys deserve.4 points

Marshall for a 5th is a steal. The idea that teams who don't currently have a QB should not try to improve at all is, well... an idea worthy of Colin Cowherd.4 points
-
Harvin for a 4th or Marshall for a 5th...you have to make one of those moves? You take Marshall every time. For less money as well. Idzik giving up our 6th rounder is an interesting parting gift. Especially since he held on to all 12 picks last year. What an idiot.4 points

Five years of 100+ catches, three seasons of double digit TDs, including two of the last three and would have been three straight if not for a season in which he was hampered by injuries and clearly far from 100%, yet still caught 8 TDs. This is a legitimate elite NFL WR and he's still in his prime, and people still want to bitch. And why? Because he previously had an undiagnosed personality disorder? He's been a model citizen for years.4 points

Only an idiot would cut Harvin before they acquired someone to take his place. They had until March 19th to cut Harvin and preserve their 4th rounder so why do it earlier than that? It gives them over a week to explore free agency and see who they can get. They should still hold Harvin until then.3 points

Filling a hole at ILB isn't remotely like filling a hole at CB or QB or even WR, no matter how deep a draft is supposed to be. ILB? When we employ 2 of them as it is? Draft a kid and stick him in there. Harris is too slow. If we wanted to switch around from 3 to 4 man fronts now and then, Harris can't come anywhere close to covering enough ground to use as a lone MLB. Like the Marshall trade because he was an upgrade. This is dumb because we needed an upgrade. And where the hell did they get $15M guaranteed from? If someone else was going to pay that for Harris, then let them and keep3 points

What time do you guys want to come over and play twister?3 points

Who are we supposed to be able to sign now with only 46 million or so in cap room?3 points

And THAT is how you crap on Buffalo's dreams.3 points

I know right? Truthfully none of it is really my fault considering I haven't seen my penis since JR year undergrad.3 points

Dwayne Bowe 60 for 754 + 30 years old = retire Brandon Marshall 61 for 721 + 30 years old = Happy to trade a pick and pay him $8M3 points

The ignorance of Marshall and his condition and his recent behavior on this thread is astounding.2 points

I don't post here often anymore, but... What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent poat were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.2 points

people need to calm down. Maccagnan just got us a true #1 WR for a fifth round pick. The cap is increasing folks, therefore salaries must increase. $7.5 million for Harris would've been a lot 2-3 years ago but in today's world with the new TV deals, get used to it. It's really more of an average deal for a player like Harris. The sky is not falling.2 points
-
I think the difference will prove out to be that MacCagnan is also going to be adept at replacing the draft picks he gives up for players. Also, acquiring a 100 catch WR is a lot different than trading for sh*tbrain trades like Tebow, Brett Favre and other likewise buffoonery.2 points
-
Trading for Holmes was a great move. Re-signing him for $9M/year with $20M guaranteed was as dumb as extending Sanchez with $20M guaranteed. Maybe dumber.2 points

I thought it was $5.5M too much. Per season.2 points

Pretty sure the billboard goofballs are declaring mission accomplished right about now.2 points

well with rex in the division, we can at least count on 2 games where the forward pass isn't attempted2 points

Charlie Casserly let this out of the bag on the NFL network. He said the Jets had to resign Harris as he's na huge part of what they do defensively.2 points

There's only 53 roster spots and we HAVE to spend $. This isn't that bad guys. Stop acting like Jets fans, it's annoying.2 points

Well, all that goodwill from the Marshall trade lasted about two hours. What the ****?2 points

And you would be wrong. 5th rounder for 1# receiver still in his prime for short money is a good move.2 points

Seriously, all we heard about Decker last year was that he's not a "true #1", now I'm sure the people that forged that ridiculous argument will complain that we got a "true #1" to put across the field from him. If this trade goes through, our receiving corps is: Marshall, Decker, Harvin, Kerley, and whoever else. Even if we cut Harvin, this is the best WR corps I can recall in a long time for us. I love the freedom this gives us in the draft too.2 points
-
Per ESPN - Bears QBs had a Total QBR of 70 with Marshall on the field and a Total QBR of 33 with him off the field last two seasons I would think that counts as impactful. I'm still interested in the haters continuing to push their agendas with no actual facts though. It's entertaining.2 points
-
I dont get why people are hating this move and then the same people say keep harvin....Harvin is more of a head case and less of a talented receiver than marshall is...how can you hate this move the guy scored 3 tds in a game on basically one leg hes a stud. He will draw the double team that will open up decker and kerley. for a fifth round pick...he's better than any receiver available in the draft.2 points

True story" Taking a large tarp off a boat in dry dock I fell into it between two boat hoist and was caught suspended about 5 feet in the air. If no one was with me I would have never got out. Face down both arms folded underneath me. They would have found me next year dead and dried out barely 400 pounds anymore.2 points

I love Jay Cutler because he's such an a$$hole...but that's from a distance. Woudnt want that on the team. He's a cancer.2 points

I don't think they make straight jackets big enough for crusher, if they did, I don't think it would be called a straight jacket, maybe a straight tarp? Also.. if jif was put in a straight jacket would the universe collapse in on itself?2 points
