  1. Roughly 27% of the Jets fan base is stupid, but that's enough of a target audience for any newspaper hoping to keep the lights on. Other teams' stupid fan percentage: Bills: 96% Eagles: 63% Pats: 23% Giants: 33%

  10. I was at Jet Camp today for the open to public practice and the best part was when Todd Bowles made the entire roster run wind sprints after a fight broke out in practice amongst the players. That shows me that Todd Bowles demands respect and has a no nonsense approach with this team which is great to see which is different from the prior regime with Rex Ryan which was all nonsense in the end lol. Go Jets all the best to Todd Bowles and much success in the future. Bring home the Second Lombardi trophy in franchise history soon please. Lets Go Jets!

  11. How Darrelle Revis became the NFL's savviest negotiator Mina Kimes, ESPN Senior Writer 2KShares Email Print Comment This story appears in ESPN The Magazine's August 31 NFL Preview Issue. THERE ARE CERTAIN athletes who exude celebrity; it trails them like a cloud of perfume, intoxicating everyone in their path. Darrelle Revis is not one of those athletes. As we walk through New York's SoHo neighborhood, passing an outdoor basketball court, none of the kids shooting hoops notices the All-Pro cornerback, who recently re-signed with the Jets. He's anonymous in gray swe

  12. It's particularly good with Kerley, who got an uncharacteristically large contract extension from John Idzik - especially for a role player. I think that was a head-scratcher for a lot of us, and it's good to see him getting pressed from both sides. Other positions, though, it's the same status quo that you see with just about every head coach. Willie Colon looks like the starter at RG, which would've been a catastrophe under Rex. Bowles' high-priced CB from his time in Arizona, Cromartie, has a starting job seemingly locked down despite a questionable camp. Geno was entrenched as the sta

  14. Balanced imo. The lack of role awareness forced us to run the game on pure logic. The 1-30 mechanic made the redirection just random enough that it didn't have a massive impact. My favorite game this year. Well done and thank you!!

  19. By Glenn Naughton There weren’t many bright spots in the Jets pre-season opening 23-3 loss to the Detroit Lions in which the Jets starting defense allowed two long scoring drives and no offensive personnel group managed to get the ball in the end zone for Gang Green. Even still, the game wasn’t without any strong individual efforts for the Jets as undrafted free agent Deion Barnes had a solid showing in his pro debut. A Penn State product, Barnes checks in at 6′ 4”, 255 lbs and was scooped up by the Jets immediately after the draft. During his time at Penn State, the Philadelphia native

  23. The way the Jets handled the Willie Colon RG competition is how they should have handled QB for the last 5+ years. Find a starting quality vet, make the rookies beat the vet. If they can't, the vet starts. Instead they gave the job to Sanchez, gave it to Geno and neither of these guys are actually better than the vet (Vick or Fitz). I'm sick of this team giving the most important job on the field away, based on hope and dreams. Screw hope. The best player should play. Not the best player in 2018. The best player today.

  26. Have you ever been sucker punched ? How many folks in that locker room do you think believed that IK any of their teammates would punch the starting QB ? Now throw in the surprise of a "Sucker Punch" and tell me how anyone other than IK could have stopped it ? As stupid as Geno Smith was to get himself into that situation, you have to think that even he didn't think IK was going to punched him. This appears from what I have come to understand to be 2 guys having a disagreement and 1 of them making a decision that should cause him his career with the Jets. When I 1st heard about

  30. Geno probably believed the whole "QB is untouchable" thing and so any punch, no matter how well deserved would be a sucker punch in that context. Where on earth do people come up with "he gives us the best chance to win" line of BS? Geno has two solid years in the books where he has been the worst QB in the NFL. The worst. Fitz is no Andrew Luck to be sure but by any objective measure he has to be better than Geno. Fellaters gonna fellate I guess.

  31. Before any punch was thrown someone should have stopped it when the arguing started.. Ray Lucas said Geno should have paid him as soon as camp started and added some more money for his charity as well.. The bottom line is it never would have happened if Geno wasn't a A-hole..

  36. Thanks. Backup roles were active only as long as Loki was alive - they existed to compensate for the fact that town couldn't avoid mislynching a cop or doc by having those key roles claim, and doc couldn't even self-protect. Basically, it would take two losses to deprive the town of a cop or doc. Once Loki was dead, those roles become vanilla town unless they'd already been activated by the death of Cop/Doc Prime

  39. I really like Bowles making it competitive. especially with Kerley worried about playing time. they never ever had to worry about any of that with good old Rex the cool guy here. now if they stink it up in the regular season jobs will be on the line. thats called accountability, something that wasnt in good old Rex's vocabulary.
