  1. Well, I think this proves that whatever Geno said to make IK punch him, he probably said from underneath a blanket.

  2. Flynn has a weaker arm than Fitz. I get the sense that Bowles is disgusted with Geno, and they ALL understand the shortcomings of every QB option we have. Unlike the years with Tanny and Rex where apathy and delusion with the primary methods of dealing with having a bad QB, it seems these guys give a ****.

  3. Of course. No Le'Veon or Martavis. And the Brady suspension will probably get removed entirely a few days before the opener. Because why not.

  4. It's a huge breath of fresh air just having what appears to be some legit competition and perhaps some depth at WR for change. Thanks Idzik!

  5. Doesn't say much for our Qb's but at least we have a GM who is on the ball and is going to look at improving the bottom end of the roster as best he can. A damn sight better than being happy with 42 year old Brunnel, Brooks Bollinger or tim Tebow as back ups. This gm never stops working and looking to improve, even if it is going from terrible to not quite so terrible.

  10. As someone who spends way too much time reading, watching, listening, etc. to all things Jets I'm surprised at how little feel I have for the type of squad we're going to have this year. Even with the recent new regimes (Groh, Herm, Mangini, Rex) I felt like I knew what to expect heading into the season. This year, I'm having a lot of trouble figuring us out. Anyone else feel the same way? I have a great feeling about our front office and the new leadership in place. I really like the way they operate. On the field I really don't know what to expect...

  11. not true at all. He didn't even call plays in college or have a play book. He had predefined reads and was told who to throw to before the play was snapped. last week was nothing like what he did in college. He progressed through reads, had improved but not great footwork, and looked off coverage in the flat before rifling the TD. everything he accomplished last week was in a light years different system than the Baylor spread. also saying he ran the spread offense is silly comment...guess what offense the jets are running in 2015? The spread. The Baylor spread offense and Gaileys s

  12. you want to defend a piece of shlt ...I won't stop you BUT he already stated he needed to change etc and then he is running from the cops, lights off, over 100 MPH, gun and kid in car. I don't care if he is Joe Montana. Fukk him. He could have EASILY killed a pedestrian or any innocent person. He cares nothing about people in general based on his behavior.....

  14. I love when you double down! Jets aren't risking losing Petty by attempting to slide him onto the practice squad. Zero chance that happens.

  17. He sure as hell would be picked up by some team willing to have a 3rd qb around. It would be a horrendous chance to take imo. I'm not saying he is any great shakes but you can't give QB's away. They'll dump a vet before they dump him.

  18. You obviously didnt watch the last preseason game...he wouldn't make it past waivers...no chance.

  19. Kerley's contract extension was a head scratcher. He got a $3M signing bonus, and makes $2M this year with $1M of it guaranteed. A lot of money for the team's #5 WR and fair catch artist. Next three years his salaries are $2.5, 3, & 3.5M. I wouldnt be be surprised if the Jets try to trade him.

  22. The only thing worse than watching Geno is listening to people pine on about how we can't do without him. These football outsiders have become insiders now, and as such they must do their best to upset Jet fans. If you just watch the games you'll see Fitz is by far the more competent QB. It's blatantly obvious. This awesome team Fitz was QBing last year lost 14 games in a row in 2013, and I'll bet they win no more than 4 this year. The Titans were 6-10 the year before Fitz, and 2-14 after. We all know how much the Bills have improved at QB without him. Using Fitz' record on these three

  23. It's the exact opposite of what their own numbers say. The almanac explicitly poses the question of whether Geno is bad with potential or just plain bad and answers that it's the latter. Fitzpatrick has never been great but he's also never been the abject disaster that Geno has been for his entire professional career to date.

  32. Shame but he appears to be a Turd. Great player, but low Brain Cell count when it comes to maturity and what it takes to be an adult. More concerned with showing off to old friends and playing the 'playa'. Lets hope he learns and like Bowles said dont be concerned with what old high school friends think.

  37. I don't know what Bowles and Mac are thinking, but just because you are pissed or done with a player, doesn't mean you cut them immediately. The IK thing was different - just like when Pats cut Hernadez (but not as severe obviously) - it was a discipline thing. But, you can't release Geno without a reasonable backup/starter; if they were leaning towards Geno as a starter this year, that would mean, they have Fitz (who they didn't want to start) starting, and Flynn as a backup. Unless you can replace Geno with someone better, you hold on to him until you can. So, even if they are ready to m

  38. ...and people dont think NFL defensive coordinators know the spot he can and cannot hit? That's why I made the pig and lipstick analogy on another thread. What we will see week in and week out with Fitz are CBs lining up on the inside of WRs, taking away the slant and using the sideline, which Fitz can't throw to, as an extra defender. If Fitz beats teams throwing high and outside, we'll win every week, because defenses wont even cover those areas of the field. CBs and safeties will be lined up inside and tight knowing Fitz's throwing window and area is very small and limited. Safeties wi

  39. Fun fact: Mexico has no formal government and is ruled by murderous drug czars and, as such, Mexicans have no idea how democracy works. In that vein, I'd like to help Pac by suggesting a vote on whether to use auction or not. I did not like auction style at all because I "bought" LeVeon Bell and Dez Bryant, then I had to sit on my dick for two hours because I was out of money to spend. It blew. Perhaps 80 can make the case FOR auction when he gets done self-flagellating over looking at a picture of Miley Cyrus last night.

  40. This is one the weirdest stories I've ever read about. I mean, you get invited for a blowjob only to see someone standing in a dark house covered in a blanket. This $hit is scary! OF COURSE you try to get out of there! But coming back after that person convinced you to come back??!! How in the world can you be convinced to come back to such a scene?!

  42. The only agenda is you have a young quarterback entering his third year with more weapons then he has ever had and a more quarterback friendly system and OC. It only makes sense to see if he can develop into a decent starting qb before turning the reigns over to a 10 year veteran back up, and that is just what Bowles was doing up until the fight.
