  2. General Notes - Players were in shells & shorts - Practice ran 2.5 hours - With the low expectations for the team there were fewer media members than last year. Also there were no "selected" season ticketholders in attendance - Frustration from Karl Dorrell (WR coach) early on as there were too many drops - Josh McCown was first in the team periods but the reps seemed even to me between him and Christian Hackenberg Player Notes - Robby Anderson doesn't seem to be noticeably bigger but his ability to run routes over the middle of the field is improv

  3. Just got two texts from @KRL full camp report later. But he said: KRL: Today is about Hackenberg improvements!!! I replied, "do you like what you see from him?" KRL: Day and night difference.

  4. Crap. Now those poor, stupid, drunken slob Policemen, Firefighters, and former soldiers might choose to attend Jets games in greater numbers. Like in the dark ages. Ruined will be the Metropolitan Opera like atmosphere. Noise! Fun!! Revelry! The horror.....

  5. The acrid blue collar odor is heavier than normal air. It typically (if it isnt too windy) makes its way to the lower sections of the stadium by the 3rd quarter producing the mass exodus.

  6. @KRL is at Florham Park and he will have a full camp report later on. Let's use this thread to stay updated on camp today. Feel free to post any tweets from reporters that are there so we can catch up on the action.

  7. This is what I want to hear. Very excited and hope he just continues to be this effective throughout TC. Give nobody any reason to doubt you are the guy that deserves the job.

  9. While I will 100% agree with this sentiment, don't deny that the lower bowl clears out halfway though the third quarter like somebody pulled a fire alarm.

  10. The only thing worse than talking about the Jets is listening to Jets fans whine all summer. Pity the rich man who spent $16,000 nine years ago, like he even gave it a second thought back then, like he even misses it now. And, in case you're wondering, over the course of those 9 years: A pack-a-day smoker has spent $42,705 A six-pack beer drinker has spent $22,995 A dog owner has spent $18,520 So friends, quit smoking, quit drinking, and shoot your dog. Then you can tell me how I'm wasting my money. SAR I

  11. Tom is a big softy who loves the jets like crusher loves a BBQ buffet or Rutgers loves a midnight Kubrick Marathon. He just shots first so the soul crushing realty of being a Jets fan can't bring him down.

  12. Jets, selling PSL's: They're like taxi medallions! Jets, a few years later, selling Boarding Pass: Haha. Who takes taxis anymore. You want to get raped and murdered? Check out our Uber package.

  13. Well this screws up a lot of the narrative on this site. Next thing people are going to be interested in facts and objectivity.

  15. I love Deon Simon, but Pennel is a guy to really pay attention to. He's a biiiiiig boy who knows how to use that size. Him or Simon are gonna replace McLendon this year and do a damn good job. I'm betting on it.

  21. Will this "Pretty Young Thing" be a "Thriller" who makes the fans "Scream"? Or will we all be telling Hackenberg "'The Way You Make Me Feel' is 'Bad'"? If you're asking these questions, "You Are Not Alone."

  25. Safe to say that after just a few day one passes, Hack has improved from last year. He was pretty damn bad every day I was at camp last season. After seeing what Hack did last season, I said to @Joeblewett on JN Radio that we'd know after four or five passes if Hack had significantly improved. That's how bad he was last season. He couldn't even throw a spiral consistently. If he was going to be anywhere close to an NFL QB, he'd look completely different immediately. This is great to hear.

  29. He can win it. I think at this point someone not even on the roster yet could win it still lol. I am rooting for Hackenberg.

  34. The up in the air positions are mostly backup spots. backup Guard, backup Center (might be the same person) Fullback, third TE, and KR/PR. The rest is fairly obvious just based on the level of investment we've given them in new contracts or draft capital.

  38. I don't need a study to back up my assertion that most ex-NFL players wind up in low paying jobs and don't have established six-figure careers thereafter. You provide me the study that says the opposite. We have laws to protect us from complex industries with dozens of manufacturers and thousands of subcontractors. Typical automobile has 30,000 parts made by about 500 different suppliers. They need regulation, inspection, laws. The NFL has regulations to its business practices, and the equipment suppliers have stringent regulations and standards to adhere to, but you're saying, what?
