  1. Which position did you apply for, the guy who hits people with pies or the guy who sprays people with seltzer?

  2. Yeah, but how are any of those teams at safety?

  3. Every person the Jets hire to a position of major responsibility is unqualified or stupid or both. What's not to get?

  4. He really does everything so well. He works really hard. He gets the big contract, and works just as hard. He does stuff with special needs kids. He raises millions to help flood victims. He is a standout in his community. You can not be a Texan fan, but how do you not root for that guy?

  5. If the Jets f*ck up this opportunity by winning a couple of extra games or drafting the wrong guy in April...then they will never reach a SB in my lifetime. Therefore, I will disown this franchise as they are no longer worth investing/wasting so many hours of my life with more productive things to do. If they draft another defensive player, then someone should consider burning down Florham Park.

  6. Watson has looked anything but special. One run against Cincinnati's awful defense isn't going to change that. How many times do you guys have to watch a running QB fail because he can't scan a defense and pass the ball efficiently. Once defenses key in on the scrambling, they almost always fizzle out. Kaepernick, Vince Young, Manziel, RG3, etc. The guy should have 2 pick-6s because he still hasn't learned how to scan the entire field and not stare down his receivers. Of course it's his first start, but he did a ton of that in college. He has miles to go as a passer, and that is what

  7. Dude it was an Interception get over it, how people don't see this is beyond me, the rule is if you have possession of the ball with the DB initially it's a catch for the WR, BUT if the DB has sole possession of the ball first even if for an instant, and then the WR tries to get possession, and doesn't get sole possession by the time they are down by contact it's an INT, and that is exactly how this play happened, the DB caught it initially then Robbie tried to rip it out unsuccessfully.

  8. There are only 5 NFL teams with good quarterbacks. No one else has a chance to win. I myself and bored with the NFL and I'm as diehard as they come. Because the NFL changed the rules and made it such a QB-friendly league the deck is stacked against teams without one. SAR I

  11. @Smashmouth Yeah and I thought the past few games where you were more active during D1 were great. I didn't feel like you were lurking or dragging down town or anything like that, and yes I do often have those thoughts when you join games and check out until like D5. Even when you're townie you're worthless until endgame anyway when you do that sh*t. This happens to all of us. Come on how many times have I been mislynched as town on D1 here? A lot of that is my fault it's how I play and it puts people off. I know that and I own it. But if you're going to get upset that t

  14. I'm certainly not an HR professional, nor an expert in job or career advice, but I do wonder the wisdom of semi-publicly ripping your former job/employer by name on a website that is at least somewhat associated with and read by some members of the new employer you're hoping to work for, and also alluding to your real name while doing so? Other than that, good luck!

  16. It's interesting to me to see ppl bagging on Watson. He's shown more potential in the short time he's been in the nfl than any Jets QB in a decade. Clearly he's still getting adjusted to the speed, but just as clearly he is a huge talent and will be very good very soon.

  17. You Jet GMs crack me up. You can never foresee injuries in this game. There were tons of you wanna be GMs that wanted White at WR in 2015 too. Sh*t happens. Now Milliner coming off injuries in college that's a different story. Macc has had some bad luck including Devin Smith. Just imagine Idzik best pick Enunwa also might not ever play again. Just bad luck when it comes to injuries.

  20. Revis had a few great years, but good offenses just avoided him and went 2TE or 4 WR when it counted. Yes, it's nice to roll coverage away from him and double other guys, but those defenses still couldn't get the key stop I don't begrudge him getting paid, the Jets blew it by buying into his argument that he was not only the best corner but the best defender in the NFL. I would have offered him the best corner money to that point and then let him hold out as long as he wanted to. Tanny caved.

  24. There are some people who seem determined to declare Petty's ceiling is at best, NFL backup. They don't state it as opinion, but fact as if it's indisputable. There are some people who seem convinced that Hack's ceiling is burger flipper. Same as above. No room for debate. Personally, my opinion is Petty is more ready to play and might even have a higher ceiling but I'll freely admit I don't know. The difference here is, I am anxious to find out and that means one of them has to play. Perhaps not this week, but soon.

  26. I think the overreaction to Hack's struggles is of epic dis-proportion. Using the exact same offense as we trotted out last Sunday, Hack looked very decent. When they tried to open it up, the OL failed spectacularly and he struggled pretty badly. That does not mean he is a bust or no longer has upside. It is a testament to how incredibly poorly this team is built. Put Hack behind a decent oline and he would look like a different player. That said, I think Petty is the guy but Bowles literally seems to hate him.

  30. They get a very big say in which QB they draft. Some of them had all the say. Instead they choose to sign and ride older journeyman QBs and let the prospects collect their checks holding clipboards. That's on them. When they do decide to play a prospect they tend to give them way to much time after they've proven to be busts and let other prospects slip by in the interim. We could be starting Carr, or Bridgewater for instance.

  35. In the film reviews, I talk about wide defensive alignments, this is how teams can defeat it. In passing situations, they want to contain the QB in the pocket, so the only real way to combat it is a strong and accurate arm, a good running game, or a QB that can attack the field with his legs. On this one, you can clearly see the Center has nothing to do at first, thus they leave the center of the field open to the QB. The Jets face this a lot.

  36. He's been so-so .. I have seen a few nice plays, but agreed on the almost picks .. he stared Hopkins down from the start on that near Adam Jones pick. That TD run was easy though . I'm just saying . No shade toward the guy. He's young and the game is obviously really fast for him. That's the real noticeable part .. but there is such thing as progression . Still glad we didn't go Watson last draft though. Can't be excited enough for prospects in the upcoming draft.

  40. It was an INT. The DB caught the ball first. Robbie just latched onto it. After fighting on the ground, Robbie came away with the ball. That was an easy call. We get screwed plenty, that wasn't one of them.

  41. Kearse is only 27 and Tye is 25. Just because we didn't draft them doesn't mean their not potentially part of the rebuild. In fact, Kerley is only 28 although it seems he should be older. But no matter, I like Kearse's first game and have no issue with him getting thrown to. It's who does the throwing I have the issue with.

  42. Hack is a gameday player. Some guys don't look good in practices and practice games. Bright lights, big city - Hackenberg would light the Oakland Raiders up and go on to solidify himself as an all-time Jet. He's just waiting for his shot.

  46. So that is the excuse huh? You want to leave potential franchise changing players to someone else and draft stupidity because you think your OL is no good? Ok fine, what about next year, should we pass on Darnold or Rose because we have a $hit OL? You cannot use the OL excuse to suit your point of view and you cannot forgive this idiot GM and blame it on the OL, which BTW he neglects yearly as well. I have to admit, I was an ardent Mac supporter and thought all of our problems were caused by an incompetent HC. I was dead wrong, they are both beyond awful and both need to be shown the door imme
