lol Don't confuse your lowly experiences in NYC, getting manhandled by Steelers fans (allegedly), with those of rich celebrities. Of all things to crap on NYC, you crap on the restaurants? Nobody goes to Applebees in Times Square except midwest tourist families relieved to find something familiar-looking. Sh*t, nobody goes to Times Square outright except tourists, unless you're seeing a show or are passing through it because some cabbie decides to take you that way after you told him 3 times to not go through ****ing Times Square on a Friday or Saturday night because it can take 5-15 minutes to drive almost every ****ing block, so you're late and then your girlfriend who's already been there for 45 minutes because she lives 2 blocks away and that's why she picked this bar again in the first place, rags at you as you take your coat off about how you're always late and how supposedly embarrassed she is in front of her 3 stupid c*nt friends who can't get non-abusive men themselves, so for 3 months they've each been nonstop whispering in her ear what a sh*t you are and how she could totally do better even though everyone knows there's no way, so then they pile on as well so you tell those fatass sows to butt out, then it escalates to the point the bouncer feels he has to step in and instantly takes her side because now it's 1 cute angry girl and her 3 c*nt friends yelling at one guy and to make it look like he's a good guy rescuing them in hopes one of them blows him in the mens room, he and 2 other of his goon buddies grab you and throw you out in the cold before you can even grab your coat, and not only doesn't she step in to say that it's ok you're her boyfriend, she doesn't even come out to bring your coat to you and won't pick up her goddamn cell, so you're standing outside for a good 10 minutes in the cold and wind and sleet before you finally come to the realization that this bitch is seriously going to let you freeze out there, so now you have to find a cab to take you home fast so you don't freaking die, and he takes you back uptown through ****ing Times Square.

    Bucky Brooks Mock: Jets go...

Find this article at:http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000910983/article/bucky-brooks-mock-draft-10-broncos-jags-among-6-to-pick-qb Bucky Brooks Mock Draft 1.0: Broncos, Jags among 6 to pick QB By Bucky Brooks NFL.com Analyst Published: Jan. 26, 2018 at 08:56 a.m. Updated: Jan. 26, 2018 at 09:19 a.m. MORE MOCKS: BROOKS 1.0 JEREMIAH 1.0 MOBILE, Ala. -- A week of practices here at the Senior Bowl didn't make me re-evaluate much of what I saw on game tape from the top players in attendance, although it did confirm some of the beliefs I already had about players like Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield and Wyoming QB Josh Allen. My first mock of the 2018 NFL Draft is primarily a reflection of the abundance of teams looking for answers at the quarterback position. I forecast six QBs to go in Round 1, which would be the most since 1983. That group is widely regarded as the best QB class of all time (John Elway, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino). Now, I believe some of this year's QBs are being overvalued, but it won't prevent them from being picked high because numerous teams are in desperate need of a franchise QB. This mock is indicative of how I believe teams view these players, and it's not necessarily a reflection of my opinion of where the players should go. NOTE: There's a tie for the ninth overall pick. A coin flip between the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders will determine which team picks first. Also, the order for pick Nos. 31 and 32 has yet to be determined, as they're dependent on the outcome of Super Bowl LII. For the purposes of this exercise, we have placed those two teams (Eagles and Patriots) according to regular-season record, with strength of schedule as a tiebreaker. PICK 6 Baker Mayfield - QB, Oklahoma The Heisman Trophy winner could be an enticing option for the Jets based on his alpha-dog mentality and ability to win big games.

    Shanahan Offensive Influence

With Bates being promoted to OC and the potential hiring of Dennison as the OLine/run game coach, it's fair to wonder if our offense is about to be influenced by Mike Shanahan. If you don't remember, Shanahan in DEN was famous for his zone blocking run game scheme and how no matter who the RB was they would gain 1000+ yards. Bates was on his staff from 2006-2008 and Dennison was on his staff from 1995-2008. Even though it didn't end well in WAS for Shanahan you have to give him credit for: - Doubling down and drafting Griffin & Cousins - Being the only HC who ever got RG3 to produce on the pro level - Crafting a offensive scheme flexible enough for a "running" QB and a "dropback" QB Will the potential Shanahan influence be attractive to Cousins?

    Bucky Brooks Mock: Jets go...

Macc is either a hero or on the street this time next year. He will either land a big name FA QB or will pick one in the draft. All or nothing for him this offseason. I like Mayfield too. Or course, I also liked Manziel...

I’m actually shocked that so many people are willing to stay put at 6. We need to be the aggressor. Mayfield may be there at 6, but there’s also a chance he’s going to climb up everyone’s board too. I’m sick of not having a QB. If our FO believe he’s a franchise QB, you trade up.

I can see it now: underdog team is making a huge comeback, last play of the game and they're shockingly just about to score the go ahead touchdown. Player is running it in, makes it down to the one yard line, and then... BAM! Clotheslined by the referee! The referee then strips his shirt off to reveal the other team's jersey as the clock hits zero and the whistle has blown. OH MAH GAWD!!! Keep in mind, I'm still not sure whether I would consider this more likely to happen in XFL or NFL.

Jarvis Landry should be top of our list. He’s a perfect WR for the way rules are written. Better version of all the shifty guys NE always signs to exploit rules/matchups.

The best part about this thread is the fact that you are all basing your decision on a QB WE HAVE to have from practices against other college players, and snap judge must have him! How about we let the WHOLE process play out, and maybe give a guy like Lamar Jackson to have his day in the sun, IMO Jackson will be the 3rd QB off the board come end of April, 6’3” 4.4 40, an extremely good arm, and then the fact that he is considered a Saint, film, and gym rat, and VERY coachable. Lamar Jackson will be the truth if he lands in the right situation with the right coaches willing to design everything around his skill set, and be patient for 3 years while he develops the ability to run a pro offense from the pocket, and do it while winning those first 2 years, he is RH Vick, but better because of his off field acumen.

Rosen is a rich kid from SoCal who’s been slathered in hot chicks since puberty but he’s absolutely dying to live in northern jersey so he can enjoy the fine dining at the Applebee’s in Times Square.

If the Browns go for Allen and the Giants take Rosen the Jets simply have to trade up to #3 to take Darnold.

Agree way too many things could change to even think about doing this in freaking January. The Rams trading up to #1 a week before the draft, followed by the Eagles the day before (when they probably knew which QB they'd be getting), are both wayyyyyy different in both cases than trading up to #3 in January. In 2016, there were 2 QBs more or less equally rated, and then there was everybody else, with the real chance no one else would get taken in round 1 outright. Other than some (obviously false) rumors, the only one even thought of as sniffing the top 10 was Lynch, who lasted to like #25-ish. Plus even before Philadelphia re-upped Bradford in Feb (?), there wasn't a Cousins-equivalent QB available in FA that year. The next-best was freaking Fitzpatrick. Trading up to #3 this year now, before FA begins, before players are tagged, before the combine begins, let alone before we know if the top 2 QBs will already be off the board and how highly rated the 3rd guy will be? Way premature. Too much shuffles around between now and then. Moving up to #3 a full month before the combine isn't in the same galaxy as moving up to #1 a week before the draft, or to #2 the day before the draft with 2 equally-rated QBs expected to go 1-2.

Totally fine by me if they land Cousins. Hell, if the Jets get Cousins, Chubb would be at the top of my wishlist at #6 if he falls.

They should be in touch with Indy about that pick, but there's no need to pull the trigger until after they exhaust the Cousins option (assuming he's their real first choice). I don't see high draft picks getting traded the first week of free agency. You only make that move early if you're completely in love with three guys, and you'd love to have any one of them.

Hopefully the Jets will be looking to move DOWN after getting Cousins. Steal Cousins then trade the pick to the Redskins for a kings ransom so they can draft Mayfield.

Yeah, I agree it will definitely need to be chilled out, but I'm sure they'll go out of their way to create some points of distinction. In the end, it's still Vince McMahon. With that said, credit where it's due, now is probably the best time to make this move. Right now, there are still plenty of football fans, but it's the NFL itself that is starting to lose it's support. I'm not sure if a new league will ever work out in modern times, but if ever there's a chance, the time is now.

    Shanahan Offensive Influence

To tie into what KRL has stated, I came across this for those questioning Bates lack of play-calling experience and always pointing to his time as Seattle OC ('10). And just as a reminder, Bates was a coach in Denver 2006-2008 ('06 O Asst, '07 QB/WR coach, '08 QB coach). The Broncos Playcalling Explained By John Bena Sep 22, 2008 There has been alot of talk about who actually calls the offensive plays for the Broncos, and just how the offensive gameplan is determined. Well, Peter King gives us the explanation, part of his MMQB -- Mike Shanahan hasn't called the offensive plays in Denver for nine years. Admit it: That surprises you. It stunned me when I learned about it Saturday in Denver. He gave it up after the Broncos started 0-4 in 1999. Gary Kubiak held the responsibility the longest, before becoming Houston's coach in 2006. Now it's up to 32-year-old quarterback coach Jeremy Bates, who calls the plays into quarterback Jay Cutler's headset, with Shanahan having the option to overrule him. He rarely does. Shanahan might make a play call or trump Bates' call two or three times a game. The gameplan is a collaborative effort between offensive coordinator Rick Dennison, who is responsible for run plays and protections, and Bates, who draws up the passes. Shanahan makes some suggestions during the week while the gameplan is being formulated, but it's mostly a Dennison/Bates production. Dennison and Bates also come up with the "First 18,'' Denver's version of the old Bill Walsh "First 15,'' when the first 18 offensive snaps of the game are set in stone (except if a third-and-inches call, for instance, has to be made). Dennison and Bates figure out which run plays and pass plays will work best each week against the defense they're playing, then list them by down-and-distance, print them on a laminated play sheet, and call the plays from that sheet on gameday. Bates makes the calls, a heavy responsibility for such a young coach. But it's a natural fit. Bates is the one meeting with Cutler all week and finding out what plays he thinks are the best fit for that week's opponent. It makes sense that the coach communicating with Cutler most one-on-one during the week is the one calling the plays into his helmet during games. So there you have it. According to King, and several other media outlets, Shanahan has very little to do with the game plan/playcalling. It also came out yesterday that Shanny has very little contact with Jay Cutler during the week, with even less being about football. Perhaps that is for the best. Jake Plummer's best season in Denver was when he had the buffer of Gary Kubiak. The fact that Jeremy Bates is a younger guy probably works best with a young quarterback in Cutler. No matter what is happening, the Broncos are winning, that is the most important stat of all!! https://www.milehighreport.com/2008/9/22/619243/the-broncos-playcalling-ex
