The problem with the NFL CBA is that Goodell lets Kraft circumvent it by paying Brady under the table while every other team has to pay their elite QB on the books.

WTF!? This has gone too far it's blasphemy! The Ghostbusters are girls? Seriously come on now! What's next! Luke Skywalker is a transvestite and he's angry cuz he can't find a bathroom with a tweener stick figure on the front of the door!? Is Wayne chrebet half black or Native American? Kermit is really a lizard who lost his tail and feels inadequate? Tom Cruise is making another mission impossible movie? Gary Busey is just faking being crazy? Tom Petty doesn't have big teeth? The whole freaking world is upside down now!!! I want to have a beer with George Carlin, Bill Clinton, Mike Tyson, Rodger Waters, and Steven Spielberg! I want to video tape it and then give it to Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Donald Trump! Let them sort this s*** out! Oh yeah I want to have a beer with William Shatner too!! I read Captain Kirk's biography by the way and he said that Leonard Nimoy really likes to eat fried egg sandwiches after he gets drunk at 3 a.m. . He says he hates the smell of stinky fried egg sandwiches... what does Sean Connery have to say about all of this!? Well what do you say Trebek!?

There are only 150 starters in the NBA.....5 per team. Each guy represents a full 20% of the team on the court (field). In the NFL there are 704 starters.........22 starters combined on O and D. Outside of the single QB there's really no "power couple" or "power triple" that can influence a game enough to make a big difference. I think that's the main difference. If I could make 40 - 60% of my NFL team elite (Durant, Curry, Thompson.....or LeBron, AD....Leonard and Paul George, etc.) then I'd really have an elite team. But that simply can't happen in the NFL and I like that it can't.

The Browns had more talent (and will again this year), but also Mayfield had twice the college starting experience that Darnold had. It's no surprise that Mayfield had a better rookie year as a result of all of that. If he lasted to #3, Mac and Bowles might still be employed by the Jets. So, cool. When it comes to careers, I wouldn't bet against Darnold having the better one. We'll see.

when i was passing by my daughter's bedroom i was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then he saw an envelope propped up prominently on the center of the bed. It was addressed, "dad." With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands: Dear dad, It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new boyfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with mom and you. I've been finding real passion with John and he is so nice - even with all his piercing, tattoos, beard, and his motorcycle clothes. But it's not only the passion dad, I'm pregnant and John said that we will be very happy. He already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. He wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my dreams, too. John taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and we'll be growing it for us and trading it with his friends for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so John can get better; he sure deserves it!! Don't worry dad, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. Some day I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know your grandchildren. Your daughter, Judith PS: dad, none of the above is true. I'm over at the neighbor's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than my report card which is in my desk drawer. I love you! Call when it is safe for me to come home.

The solace is if Chris Johnson had done it back in January he'd probably have screwed it up. Assuming we got the right GM finally, the far greater likelihood is he would have hired the next bad Jets GM, who then would have been in on hiring the HC. Remember, left to his own judgment, a year earlier he gave both Macc and Bowles extensions instead of walking papers. Then his judgment was to keep Macc for even longer after dumping Bowles. It needed to happen this way, with a guy with Gase's personality, otherwise Johnson would have kept the status quo with the GM position. Sure it would have ideally been better to dump Macc much earlier (or at the latest, right along with Bowles in Jan 2019). It's possible at the time - before the 2019 season officially began - I think Philadelphia might have been able to block us from hiring Douglas. Needed to hire Gase first, and Gase needed to point to firsthand FA and draft problems with Macc after getting hired, or this wouldn't have happened even this early. Keep telling yourself it had to happen just this way for CJ to get off his ass and do anything correctly, and the timing may have been necessary to get a good hire instead of another failure. It might even be the truth.

The best method I have found is using Reddit. You can easily find links for the streams for games, and I run it on my laptop and connect the HDMI cable to the TV, move the mouse over to one of the corners, and you honestly couldn't tell the difference. Didn't have to miss a Jets game last year, and it was fantastic.

Before this news, I didn’t care about the next James Bond movie. Now, I still don’t care about this new James Bond movie but will take some small pleasure in the fact that a bunch of sun-downing geriatrics are getting bitchy that James Bond, perhaps the most one dimensional character in cinema, actually remains a middle aged Brit, and only his position, 007, is being replaced by a female, black, millennial, but they’re too lazy to read an article to know that they’re actually upset by a fictionalized spy organization’s hiring decision subsequent to the retirement of a longstanding employee.

I don’t know about you guys, but I like my re-imagined, less creative, more commercial regurgitations of fictional content to be even less inclusive than the originals. This way the Hollywood studios maximize on the spending power of middle-aged, defeated, and angry white men. Those poor minorities, like all women for instance, don’t make any buying decisions for their households. For that matter, it’s really the men that do all the work during pregnancy. I don’t see pregnant women opening doors for themselves, do you? His about buying ice cream? Nope. Parking the car while they let the OB/GYN go elbow deep in their uterus? Hard no. Lets get some khakis, tiki torches and let Hollywoodn’t know how pissed we are!!!

In no way am I discounting Mayfield. Hes tough in the pocket, accurate, can go through his progressions, has enough arm and is a legit leader. I just personally feel that Sam has an innate ability to see things a split second before they happen and that is while being so young. Guys like peyton and luck had 6 or 7 full years of starting at a high level of HS and college. Sam is so far behind them when it comes to coaching, and yet is on par with production and then also comes with elite size and speed. You make a solid point about the browns trading down, but the bigger missed trade is the Giants not trading Odell a year ago for 4 and a second rounder. They could have taken Sam at 2, the Jets would have been forced into Rosen or Allen, and then Barkely at 4 and been set on offense for a long time.

Domino affect. Q.Williams frees Leo, that frees Anderson, Adams & Mosely blitz ability speeds everything up. Luvu & Copeland benefit on 3rd downs, Polite starts contributing in the 2nd half of the season.

The popularity of the league is being propped up by the massive ESPN contract. I agree the NBA has issues, and for as smart as Silver is, Lebron see's him as weak and will continue to take advantage. It will be interesting to see what the league looks like 5 years from now.

At least at the time of hiring. I wanted an experienced HC this time around. Like you've been saying forever, no more rookie HCs. Can't afford to have a guy learning on the job while he supposed to be developing Sam. I was skeptical, wanted McCarthy (looks like that it was for the best that we passed on him), but the fact that he had the acumen and ability to figure out what an albatross Macc was, and dispatch him without much trouble, has really made me a supporter.

I haven’t heard or read any of that. From this video he has all the tools to play 3 downs considering he has the ability to blow a running play up and pass rush. I still think we see N.Shepperd taking some of his snaps if Nate has a good camp. Cool post, Interesting to see how Anderson does in single coverage. Almost ever sack on this video Leo is doubled or the QB is moving away from pressure from Leo and finds Anderson. People love to post stats on how much Leo was doubled last year, I think Anderson might have even been doubled more, but it’s the plays that happen when Leo is doubled. About 5 of the 7 sacks Anderson gets is in single coverage while the line shifts to Leo. Without looking I am sure Jenkins sacks on film are similar. Thats not taking anything away from Anderson. He gets off the ball very fast for his size making him look faster then he is. High motor, rarely giving up on plays. This year Q can get more single coverage up the middle if Anderson can build on last years sack totals. Or he can find him self in more single coverage when The Williams get all the attention.

You make a good point about them only needing a QB. i could try to counter it with “how really talented were those guys if they were historically bad for two years and two more games”, but we’d both be spinning our wheels. Plus if I’m being honest, I don’t want to die on that hill because there’s a big part of me that agrees with you. The talent of the two teams wasn’t the main point of what I’ve been debating in this thread anyway. It somehow evolved there away from the main topic, which was #1 surprise at someone taking Mayfield first in the draft over Darnold, and then went to #2 about how Darnold actually showed he was the better QB last year.

This well be the end of that franchise. You want to make a movie about a super hero female spy, I'd go see it. Wait, they are. It's called Black Widow, and I will go see it. Completely change an existing franchise just to be more PC? Eh, I'm done.

How about this buddy. Maccagnan sucks. Woody sucks. Bowles sucks. Thank goodness we have an offensive minded coach. Joe Douglas is so connected. Thank goodness we have a real GM with real league connections. Sam is just the bestest of the best. He had receivers to his house to play catch, you know. He's really dedicated. We really need a center and oline. I'm really worried about that. Cornerback too. We better draft them in the first round next year.

10-18 Bumper crop for WR's. Jerry Jeudy being the best from Bama but he'll go higher. A few promising OL. I'd say OL, left or right tackle. Our GM loves OL and I'm sure he's aware of a glaring weakness and I expect him to go bananas with OL next draft and FA, maybe make a play for the Dallas OL Laell Collins who should pop loose due to Dallas' cap sitch having to sign Dak, Zeke, MLB and their CB.

I dont hear Robby Anderson complaining about da hood. When did that happen? From our vantage point, all we see is a man who seems to be about that action to better himself at his profession. This guy dedicated himself to his talent even when he wasnt the best student to make sure that he gave himself a chance to be successful on the football field. And when the NFL didnt take notice and he ended up being an undrafted rookie free agent, the moment he got an opportunity to be part of a team's camp he made sure to earn a spot, even though he knew that by just being an undrafted rookie it would be incredibly difficult to get the eyes of a team that had already overlooked him... but he grinded to the point that they ultimately put him on the 53 and ultimately a starter. I seen a guy who's come off as a grinder and a guy who wants to overachieve given his underdog status to the point where as a UDRFA he ended up being the best WR on the team. He did this without outside acceptance, and I say that because of your statement "go buy a suit and go to etiquette and elocution class". What's Ironic about this statement is that many of the folks that come from da hood, worry themselves so much about what other folks think of them or how they're perceived by others (that etiquette). They've been fooled to think that their value is solely based on what other folks think of them. Robby Anderson has a strong enough personality that he doesnt have to worry about taking classes in order to seek approval from outsiders. I think his hairstyle is code for "F your etiquette". It takes a man comfortable in his own skin to approach a world that's full of critics seeking judgement of others. He didnt need this etiquette or the mastery of this language to reach his dreams. He did that by grinding. How about folks respect that, especially coming from a guy who came from da hood yet made sure not to become a statistic that folks like yourself heard about 50,000 times. It sounds to me like Robby Anderson is taking the David Goggins route. Sometimes you have to care not about what folks say or feel about you. We've had numerous threads talking about the same nonsense, and yet, just by the fact that he's still the top receiver on the Jets proves that while folks are talking about his tweets, tats and the classes he should take in order to be acceptable in our eyes, he was somewhere grinding trying to get better at his craft and the path the he decided to walk. Honestly, the only thing that's been heard ad nauseam are the comments made about him on this board. There's atleast 50,000 of them.
