wait, wait, wait....WTH is going on here? you're not telling me we have a GM who is trying to fix our weak spots? that's just crazy talk!!!

Or you just give the conditional 7th and not take the risk. If he makes the roster, even as backup, he is worth the 7th. If he doesn't then no harm no foul, we don't lose the pick. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

For a change, its nice to see days that each side dominates the other. Over the past few years, it has always been defense ahead of the offense. Sounds like O took the last couple of days, and defense is rebouding today. Nice to hear that both sides are having good days. May mean nothing; or it may mean we have a mroe balanced team than past years. Although I gues syou could argue that we were balanced last year. Its just that both sides sucked.

Are they sure Leonard isn't there? He disappears a lot during games, too.

Thank you @freestater and anyone else who will be posting the tweets here for practice. You are making my Monday at work just a bit more tolerable, and I greatly appreciate that.

And why do we care about Andrew Luck? I mean is he a keeper on your fantasy team or something. Seems like the Colts problem.

These types of moves are necessary when your previous GM neglected the entire offensive line for 4 years. Gotta start somewhere. Low risk, high reward move.

Sam on with Humpty Canty and Rothenberg right now on ESPN. What an intelligent, articulate, grounded, great dude. Said those 3 weeks off when he got hurt were huge for his development to just watch what was going on. Had some family stuff going on so he said it came at a good time. Gave MAJOR props to McCown for folks still complaining about $10 million for a mentor. Worth every penny according to Sam. And he gets how hungry Jet fans are for a winner. CJ Mosley up next. Hurry!

  29. 5 points
Is that our new center or new GM?
  30. 5 points
I could be wrong, but I don't think the waiver wire works that way. I think the Jets are 3rd for every player until week 3 of the NFL season, then it goes by standings, but it's not like fantasy football where you go to back of the line after claiming a player. https://operations.nfl.com/updates/the-players/nfl-waiver-system-overview/
  31. 5 points
Especially interesting because the Jets have the 3rd spot on the waiver wire, meaning Douglas could've just claimed him off waivers if Arizona and SF passed on him. Seems like he's hurt often but was a 4th round pick a few years ago and started 10 games at LG last year. Douglas attacking the OL every way he can. I like taking a flier, have to assume its a conditional 7th rounder if he makes the roster. He did pass a physical prior to release since he's had a bum shoulder. Young, starting experience at a position where Jets lack depth. Kick the tires.

Marcus Maye had better get healthy and play great and soon. His loyalty points are gone with the new regime.

Your judging this the wrong way..If a player shines in camp it means nothing. However if he doesn't shine right away in camp it means without a doubt he's a huge bust..

Raise your hand if you love what you do every day for work. If you weren't being paid to sit at that desk, drive that truck, or teach that class....is that how you'd still choose to spend your time? The idea that an athlete has to love what he does, love the game....I think it's just romanticizing things because most of us would love to be paid a ton of money to play a game we enjoy. Just my two cents.

Dude started 10 games at LG for ravens and held his own overall and then had inside track for starting LG job before injury . Im not saying he is Star but at worst this is good experienced depth . And little competition for Winters Doesn’t hurt .
  46. 4 points
Eh I disagree. We got a guy that started like 10 games last year for a 7th round pick. I’ll take my chances on a guy that’s nfl ready instead of the long shot draft pick any day. Besides we need as much OL help as we can get it’s a massive priority

After a loss he doesn’t go home with his wife. His 7 year old and his wife crush him about play calls. His 7 year old calls him an idiot for calling some plays and his wife is the daughter of a coach and after he lost to Colts 2 years ago on a bad call by him he got home at 1:00 am and his wife was waiting up for him and mocked him “cover 2, really?” Lol.
