It’s a viral infection that can’t be treated with antibiotics. There is no timetable. He’s ready when he’s ready.

Couple things, 1.) it was obvious something was wrong with Sam, he looked unsure in the pocket, his throws were weak, and his vision wasn’t what you’d expect; 2.) he’s out 3-4 weeks if the season can vibe salvaged, if not he’s out the maximum amount of time he needs. No point getting him killed.

I think you wait and see where you are at after 6 or 7 games. If you are 1-5, 2-6 put him on IR. If by some miracle they are like 4-2 5-2 then see where he is at and if he can go, then go. Thing is you really have to be careful with this. If he is even the slightest bit off, don’t play him. It is just not worth the risk.

Slamming Mehta here is really weak on your part. It's not his job to make you happy. The "Monday" thing might be an exaggeration, but point out one other thing in that tweet that you can say didn't happen. What the hell upsets you so much that you want him fired? He doesn't toe the company line hard enough for you? Toughen up man.

I know this is hard for you Nic. Yes, most people feel better in four weeks but the fatigue could last twice that long. Sam’s not trying to return to his desk job, he needs to be healthy to be in NFL football shape.

So, just to recap. In the last 6 days we have: Blown a 16 point Q3 lead Lost a starting WR for the season; possibly ending his career Lost our QB for at least several weeks Lost our top defensive FA signing for at least a game Lost our first round draft pick, also for at least a game Seen a player suspended for PEDs And that is not even mentioning our kicker. One week ago, I was looking forward to a football season with optimism, for the first time in several seasons. Still looking forward to the Monday Nighter, but hard to be upbeat about the season at this point.

I just logged into my old account just to give you another butt fumble for this thread.

I have an idea! Lets start threads for individual plays.

So I was thinking... in the 80s when I was in college, I said I want a SB before I die. Well.... in a museum in Mexico City I saw this and I thought of the Jets.🤣 Right or wrong.... Go JETS!!!! I literally wore my Jets shirts, 4 out of 5 days in Mexico.

Yes. Starting a thread on an internet board. That'll stop him.

Couldnt he have made out with this skank on Memorial day weekend and not Labor day weekend .... not a very professional move by Sam Darnold.

To draw an equal comparison, Mayfield would have to be out indefinitely, Landry gone for the year, Robinson and Kush hurt, Chubb questionable, Njoku suspended, Garret and Richardson out and Schobert out for the year

I fully intend to be pissed off about picking 32nd in the following year's draft.

It’s ok when you hold every play. They will find a guy off the street to play. Call me when Brady is out.

Vegas has odds on what will keep Sam out next year. I'm getting 100 to 1 on that he'll get stuck in an elevator for 3 weeks.

I mean, what the actual **** is wrong with this godforsaken franchise? How could you subject the only hope you have to one day be relevant to life threatening injuries? There is no way this just popped up on Monday morning that it was Mono. I want to throw elbows at people.

Hahaha ! That is about as pure of a shot as I’ve ever heard. I was born in ‘72 so I missed it. The sack exchange was enough to get me in. Then there was Freeman McNeil. Who knew I’d still be waiting? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

#ThanksMac DK, Hollywood, Deebo, McLauren... amongst many others having immediate impacts across the league. It’s wild to see this many rookies this impactful. Used to be WRs took 2-3 years to develop, but that was when DBs could beat them up in coverage.

I think we would have been better off drafting Mahomes, even if we played him at safety.
  34. 4 points
Well he’s almost as old as Nathan Shepherd so he probably should.

Good for him, bad for us. He is a good guy, and I'm happy for him.

Eli is non-competitive at this point. Giants fans deserve this, tbh.

I agree with the ape, he looked pale in pregame warm ups. They probably thought it was the flu at that point and he needed to suck it up.

Get him all the time he needs to recover. He's coming back to an easier schedule so he'll ease back in alright. Give it time folks, it'll be okay.

Kids missing no less than half the season. As much weight he has lost, weight he will lose and how pale his skin is ? He’s gonna look like Jack Skeleton from Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas until he’s completely recovered.

Unless Mayfield has aids I don't wanna hear about it.
