They’re set at receiver. Did you see their defense pre draft? There’s a reason they drafted all defense, not one offensive player taken.
  8. 8 points
So we dodged a bullet by not drafting a guy that is articulate and smart enough to put together a well produced YouTube Channel with extremely tame content that fans would love to watch.. Am I understanding that right ? Lol

Jets will WIN the AFC. Our defense is better. Our offense is way better. Sam has matured. We've got some nice new weapons. This offense will be like night and day from last year. Bell will come out swinging. He now has an OL to run behind. Whether he lost a step or not is irrelevant. He's always been a patient runner. Speed has never been his forte. He has Gore and Perine to lessen his workload. GW has a year under his belt with these guys and will only utilize them better, not to mention an upgraded secondary and a possible pass rush. And Gase cant be as predictable as last year. There's no reason we shouldn't make the playoffs in a watered down AFC. How far we'll go? That's another question. But I can see this team making significant progress and surprising many.

do you really think JD would sign this guy and undo everything he has done this off season to build a solid locker room?
  11. 7 points
Jerry Jones conducted his draft from his Lex Luthor yacht but yes player salaries are clearly what are going to have to be cut down on.
  12. 7 points
Nah with the exception of losing Robby, the offense is massively improved. Let's hear how you would have handled the off-season differently since the FA market was just loaded with playmakers right? Oh and rookie tackles and receivers start all the time. Especially when you draft them in the 1st and 2nd round.

Yo I'm a huge boxing fan. I watched Tyson in his prime. I believe he could have been the best ever. If you don't know his whole story you should check it out. Not only where he came from, but what he gained, how much he lost and how he has come back now. Everybody has a different journey, I don't think it would be bad for this guy to actually find some inner peace and have a decent storybook ending. Personally I'm rooting for Mike Tyson

Easy to find the training video of 53 year old Tyson hitting the mitts with his trainer. Apparently he's making a comeback? So in my best Mike Tyson voice I will now say... It's the Return of the Ferocious one! I do not fear your coronavirus your coronavirus fears me! I eat murder Hornets for lunch! Murder Hornets are scared of me!

was gonna down-vote you for Manish like click-bait "here's an interesting topic" ... SURPRISE, I'm kidding!!! but, credit where credit is due ... Pittman posting all that stuff online does seem like it would be a pain in the *$$ to a GM and Coach ... thumbs up it is!

Enunwa, who I loved as a player, has been gone for 3 years. We've added a bunch since last year and lost nothing.

It really would be nice to have some meaningful games in December. Most people are picking the Bills this year, but they were only a Wild Card team last year, it's not like they're a powerhouse. New England and Miami? Who knows with them this season? We have a shot. Good defense, just need the offense to take it up to another level. Last year wasn't very good for the O, and you have to figure it will be better than that. Can't be just "a little better" though if we want to make some noise.

For a franchise with a staggering amount of lows, "honoring" a team for ultimately doing nothing would be among the lowest.

All I’m going to say is that in an otherwise greatly constructed game, @SMC whiffed incredibly hard by not making 80 Lube Man.

I think this is a big part of the reason JD signed everyone to a 1 year deal. This way the Comp formula works in the Jets favor finally if they don't decide to keep any of the 1 year deals. I think the Jets finally have a real GM that gets it.

Mims who I said on my real account I had rated with Jeudy and Lamb. I said it here after the first round that I had them as my top 3. We got him, Perriman is basically a faster Robby. We also got Herndon back with a better line also

Even if you disagree that Mims was the better prospect than Pittman, I'll very happily take Mims at # 59 PLUS picks 125 (James Morgan) and 129 (Cameron Clark) PLUS a 2021 6th over Pittman at # 34. No matter what caused Mims to drop I don't think we could have asked for a better result in the 2nd round.

Also important to note with the OL, it should improve the run game. Hopefully the run which was non existent last year, will open up the pass. IIRC Darnold was one of the worst play action QB’s last year, which makes sense because we couldn’t run the damn ball.

It's amazing how many people don't know/have forgotten how bad NE was for years before BB/TB got there. This idea that they are eternally blessed couldn't be further from the truth . . .
  49. 4 points
The take is just demonstrably wrong. He’s nearly doubled Perriman’s production over the last four years. Had a good 6 games in a completely insane downfield offence while Robby was in the same sh*tty situation people use to excuse Darnold’s performances. The notion that Perriman is better or even as good as Robby would be laughed at by any objective analysis. Rightfully so.

From what I read Onwuasor struggled last year when he tried to replace Mosley in BAL defense. But the big thing to look at in his numbers is what he did when he played WITH Mosley in 2017 and 2018: https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/2576761/patrick-onwuasor He had his most tackles and sacks so it seems that when he's freed up to just roam he's pretty productive
