  1. To avoid making a long post even longer and making a longer introduction, many of you know that I have a source within the organization. Many here can confirm this. My source and I have been discussing the Jets since Sunday and where they go from here and he dropped some tidbits on me that I’ve had confirmed to me by a second, more prominent, source and am now ready to share with all of you as I’ve been given the “ok”...so here we go: My guy is pretty certain that if the Jets don’t go QB, that they will either go Sewell and build around Sam for one more “do or die” season, or they will

  2. Good to be back, let's get started with initial impressions. We'll see if these hold true with the two other practices I'll be attending: General Notes - Props to the staff for the smooth movement of 1000+ fans to the practice facility - Practice ran 2 hours and 40 minutes - Shockingly players were in jerseys & shorts (not even shells). Usually by day four pads are worn - With no pads there were no 1 on 1 periods to really break down players movement skills - For the most part it was a 50/50 practice with each side of the ball "flashing" during

  3. Hey - just wanted to let everyone know that my wife, Lauren, her cancer is back. I had posted about it before, years ago. She had breast cancer about 8 years ago and it came back a few years later. She recently hit the 5 year free and clear mark which is a big milestone. Then unfortunately a routine doctors appointment ended up with an emergency hospital stay and pretty invasive surgery. She was in the hospital for a week in May, her breast cancer has returned and unfortunately spread a bit. The Oncologist got the report right away and the team at Memorial Sloan Kettering took over immed

  5. Hey guys, its been a little while since posting. Earlier this year moved out of my parents house into my own house, and in between re-painting EVERY ROOM but 2, I have been hard at work on my den which has become my Jets Man Cave. I'm really happy with how this has turned out. I had a rough idea of how I wanted to do things, but it became like a puzzle and all the pieces began falling place. There's a lot of depressing stuff going on right now, so i'm hoping to provide a little relief unveiling it off to the rest of my JetNation friends The first part is what you see when you com

  6. And no this isn't in reference to what Joe Douglas is doing to the Jets roster. People are fighting. Personal attacks. Name calling. Ruining the board. This is a general statement and a final plea for everyone to just use the Ignore feature if there is someone here you find that you don't agree with. We run this site in a pretty relaxed manner (try to) by design. That means we ask people to treat each other with respect. Unfortunately there are many cases were that isn't happening here right now. So back on March 29, at BYU’s pro day, with the Niners-Dolphins trade going down, Zach Wilson getting ready to throw and the tectonic plates of the 2021 draft shifting, Jets coach Robert Saleh ran down BYU alum Fred Warner, his former star middle linebacker from San Francisco, with a bit of a weird request. Warner was there to support Wilson and the rest of the Cougars trying to make thei

  10. In 2018, I began following the NFL for the first time in my life. I'm in my mid 50's and have been a BYU Football fan since age 8. In 2018, I began following Taysom Hill and the Saints. Now, I fully plan on also following the Jets. No doubt in my mind there will be thousands more like myself as we don't have an NFL team in Utah. I feel It's going to be a fun year. Go Jets!!

  11. General Notes - Practice ran 2 hours and 20 minutes - They were in jerseys & shorts again, so in one week they've been in pads one time (rant over) - Josh Johnson was signed as the veteran QB he's wearing #9. He took no live reps - Alijah Vera-Tucker didn't practice, he was replaced at LG by Dan Feeney and Alex Lewis - In dead periods of practice Morgan Moses and George Fant would pull Mekhi Becton to the side to talk about "kick slides" and hand placement - Nice bounce back performance by the offense which allowed them to win the day. 14. Are you feeling it? So much negativity, so much stress all around but are you feeling it? There is a new era of Jets football here. Mikey Macc is gone. Adam Gase is gone. Robert Saleh is here. This team is going to move fast. They will make mistakes but they won't sit back on their heels. If you are going to make a mistake, make it fast. Let's go. New QB. New offense. A legitimate NFL game plan. Quite the refreshing change. People are still sleeping on the Jets. They are paying for the sins of their fathers. This roster isn't perfect, far from it. But this team is goin

I'm going to preface this by saying it is just an opinion; I have no inside information here, haven't asked anyone a question yet (I intend to), and is purely based on my own personal observations. With that said, if the adds of Corey Davis and Keelan Cole indicate anything, it's that we should not expect this to be a San Francisco-style short-passing offense. Whether or not that means a change at QB is coming, I don't know, but its my opinion that this personnel meshes better with Zach Wilson's game than Sam Darnold's. I don't want to make this about "whose better" because truthfully, w

We all know she's going to win this fight and many have asked, besides kind words and prayers, how they can help. I reached out to Phil, suggesting I, and perhaps others, would be willing to take the burden of worrying about putting dinner on the table each night off of their plates, so that they could focus on healing. Phil graciously accepted the offer. So, now I turn to you. He's spent countless hours and dollars providing us this inc

  17. No more, "why couldn't he convince Joe Thuney to sign with the 2-14 Jets over the back-to-back AFC champs?" Or, "remember that time he took a backup QB with the second of three fourth rounders? I'm still not over that!" Or, "I can't believe he's signing guys who might not even make the final roster. Why doesn't he sign eighty-five starters?" Don't worry, kids, your time is coming! With this draft, the Jets will be cemented as Joe Douglas' team, for better or worse. He's got his hand-picked head coach. And not just the only coach who would take his calls, but a highly so

  18. It was good to have pre-season football back after a year absence. Most will dismiss it, but there's nothing like live reps to see how your roster is developing. Let's take a look: Special Teams - This is my first time seeing Chris Naggar and I wasn't impressed. His leg was short on kickoffs and his FG attempt from 53 yards looked like a wounded duck. - Props to Denzel Mims for being on the coverage units. With him having a slow start to camp its crucial to make yourself valuable to the coaching staff by showing you can play specials. - Impressive "downin

  21. Take note: All the guys that got fired over the last few years, from GMs to multiple Head Coaches and staffs, they all got fired for basically the same reason... Failing to support the young Franchise Quarterback (You know, the guy you just traded away for about half the amount it cost the team to draft him...). So IF you DO draft Zach Wilson or any of the other young Quarterbacks in the draft, if someone in the room suggests drafting Defense at 23 or 34 throw him out of the F***ing War Room!! Support the QB!! And if we hired yet ANOTHER Defense Minded Head Coach that needs fi

  22. Hell of a job by Joe Douglas in year 1. Known players: 1) Mekhi Becton - already an elite LT. Huge score here for Douglas. 2) Denzel Mims - looks to be at minimum a strong #2 type with potential for more. Another hit. 3) Ashytn Davis - Man he showed a lot tonight. Physical. Fast. Instinctive. He's the kind of player that will get better and better every year. I'm a fan. 4) Braden Mann - excellent punter that can change field position and kick off. That's 4 hits with future starters. Perine looks like a contributor at a minimum for years. Zuniga, Clark, Morgan an

If you love a QB you don’t fck around. Joe doesn’t love Lance at 8. He either loves him at #2 or not at all. There is no cake and eat it too scenario. Trade back means Darnold and playmakers. Pick your side of the Fence.

  25. Firstly, I want to apologize for some of my long-winded and in some cases aggressive posts over the past month. Unfortunately I let some of the members of this site get under my skin too often. Part of it is because I think some of the attacks and skepticism has been unwarranted, part of it is an old-school “say it to my face” (lol sigh) mentality, but mostly it’s because I hate the social media culture being established and accepted - not just here, but everywhere. I can be a defensive person. Always has been the case. My girlfriend used to say that I was “addicted to conflict.” Can’t say I t

I won't name the names, but the stench has left the building. Zach Wilson makes a statement week one. Robert Saleh gets his first coaching victory in week one. The Jets show the world they are finally headed in the right direction. Let's go Jets. This team is hungry for heaven.

  27. I just wanted to pop in to say that I'm a huge fan of the Jets draft so far this year. Vera-Tucker and Moore are studs. You got Jamien Sherwood AND Hamsah Nasirildeen, both of whom I liked as big nickel candidates. And to top it off, you took every Michael Carter that's ever lived. Great draft for Douglas and co. **Puts on troll hat**. It's weird to see the Jets making well thought out, competent, logical draft choices and getting great value in each round. I hate it.

  28. -Better Head Coach (Gase was the worst I've ever seen.) -Better Offensive Coordinator (Did we even have an O-Co under Gase, really?) -Better Offensive System (Shanny-style WCO > Gase Insanity) -Better QB (We have to presume Wilson won't be dead last in the NFL, otherwise why would we dump Sam and draft Wilson, amirite?) -Better at RB (No more feeding old Gore.) -Better #1 WR (Davis over Perriman.) -Better #2 WR (Mims healthy vs. missed most of season.) -Not having a depth guy like Berrios be #2 in Catches at WR, lol. -Better O-line (almost by default,

  29. The fake outrage over the loss today is beyond laughable. We are 4 games away from: - Having the ability to draft the "next big thing" at QB - Basically having three first round picks (#1, #25, #33) - Having five premium picks in the first 3 rounds. And with a tradeable asset in Darnold potentially adding a sixth one - Having the most cap space in a year when the cap is going down Stop the fake crying you're embarrassing yourself

I will support the sh*t our of that dude. I hope the same can be said for Zach if he is the pick. Would be sad if fans with the opposite opinion turned into vultures waiting for our QB to flounder. With the utmost confidence I can tell you that whatever you are hearing from whatever "Sources" are either : A) just hypothetical guesses that are simply correct a random % of the time.
