  1. With one injured for the all of last year and the other playing behind an arena football O-line I'd say this season will determine if either is overpaid. Its my hope they both deliver this year.

  2. Yes, I have been diagnosed positive for pneumonia. I also tested positive for Covid-19. I have been put on a rotation of antibiotics to fight off the pneumonia. All were confirmed through the usual tests and through CT scans with and without contrast. I am also on a regimen of remdesivir to fight the Covid-19. I'm thinking I'm done now and when I can consistently keep my O2 levels at a point they'll let me leave I'll get discharged. Its absolutely amazing how drained you feel all the time, not tired like you worked a long day, like all the power and strength have been sucked out of you, a tired I've never felt before. The prognosis is good, I feel the world coming back, hopefully it will come quickly. Thanks for the advice, I'm trying to force my self to get up and move around. It helps, I can feel the difference. Again thanks. Just know how appreciative of everyones help and nice words are to read. I appreciate all and will never forget

  3. After re-watching every 2019 game and thinking about free agency and the 2020 draft here's my June 2020 random thoughts: Sam Darnold is going to be a great QB. It is shocking to see how much duress he was under last year on virtually every passing play yet Sam managed to still make plays. It was especially clear in the Giants game that Daniel Jones had so much more time than Darnold did on every play yet Sam managed to outplay him. If he gets time this year he will be an assassin. Greg Williams is a brilliant defensive coach. It's just shocking to see what he did last year with so many guys who aren't very good. It will be very interesting how good they can be with better players. If guys like Zuniga and Huff can produce a decent amount of pressure, they will take another step up this year. Offensive Line is the wild card in 2020. Most fans are giddy with all of the bodies Joe Douglas brought in by I have reservations. The lack of practice time certainly won't help. I'm not a fan of Alex Lewis and I hope he doesn't have to play LG especially since the LG will be playing next to a raw rookie. He's a penalty machine. I'm curious to see what happens with Fant. I find it curious that Douglas saw fit to pay him $10mm (keep that number in mind) per season. It just doesn't feel like he could have gotten that much from another team. I think Chuma Edoga showed well when he played RT and I'm not sure what so many fans have given up on him. It's likely because of Macaggnan-itis. For my money I would have given Robby the $10mm per season for two years. Imagine how much more excited the fan base would be if Robby were joined by Mims, Perriman, Herndon and Crowder. I just don't get that one. Everyone is excited about Douglas's first draft and for good reason. For the first time in a long, long while it seems the GM drafted players who fit the (coaches) system and the teams' needs. Still, while others have penciled in every single pick to be starters in 2021 I think that's going too far. My expectations are a bit more realistic. Becton and Mims are rookie starters for sure. Ashtyn Davis should see a lot of playing time in many different positions and may start in 2021. The Gators (Zuniga and Perrine) should play in 2020 and should contribute more in 2021, as should Bryce Hall. To call them sure fire starters in 2021 is over-doing it a bit. I think Cameron Clark is an unknown and have I no expectations of him. I just love the Brandon Mann pick. Love, love, love it. I like the UDFA Douglas signed, especially Huff, Lamar Jackson and Cager. I think all of them could easily have gone in rounds 5-7 without surprising anyone. That said, I think the fan base gets overly optimistic about UDFA. I think if Huff makes the team it will likely be at the expense of last year's UDFA Frankie Luvu, but if it's an upgrade, I'll take it! That's all I got. It's now back to reruns of "Car 54 Where Are You?".

  4. Top 5 clubs that haven’t even formed and are already great: - @Jetsfan80 fap club, where he custom delivers spank bank images for middle-aged men on the internet - @joewilly12 shirtless men’s club, because low hanging fruit - @T0mShane, pinko commie poetry club, because well... snowflake - @Jet Nut, anger management club, nobody does it better - @The Crusher, bacon of the hour club, because who can wait a whole month?

  8. You dont know how that sounds to someone who caught it and not from the media. People are sloppy, they're given an inch they take an arm. I drove by a bar on the way home from my hospital stay and it was pumped to the gills, people on tables on top of each other, no one with a mask. But its extra testing.

  9. There is nothing to debate. I'm a physician we study this stuff for a living. China likely hid the spread and the US compounded this by literally burying it's head in the sand. @slats was spot on. It's public health science, it's not politics.

  11. Top 5. I would be surprised. That would put him in a group with Mahomes, Lamar, Wilson Rodgers, Brees, etc. I will be happy if he established himself in top half of the league this year.,

  13. Thanks. I think I probably read it the wrong way, my bad. A true Mod Dream Team. Yes, that makes a lot of sense. I would be happy to consider anything within reason. It 100% absolutely will be. These are trying times I am spearheading an idea that I know will be a crash and burn. Hell 2020.

  16. I'm going to preface this by saying I completely agree with your sentiment here, so I am in no way trying to create an argument. However, understanding that I will never understand what it is like to be in QW shoes I find it hard to judge the kid on the highlighted text. For context, I have always been a good athlete, played a little in college, but I had to put in a ton of work to get to that point because while a good athlete I was not an explosive natural athlete. Everything I got i gained through extremely long nights and a lot of sacrifices. None of that is meant to be complimentary to myself, what it is meant for is to illustrate a point. I HAVE NEVER BEEN AS TALENTED AS QW and frankly not many have been. So is it understandable that a kid that has always been able to dominate at almost every level he has played by doing simply what was required of him. Now this is not to say he was not a hard worker at his time in HS or his time in Alabama. I have seen articles that he worked extremely hard, so that isnt to say that all of a sudden he has to work hard, i am 100% sure he has worked his ass off to get to this point. The difference in the NFL is that everyone is as talented as the next guy, and all of them are doing every single thing possible to gain an edge. I think the fact of the matter is that it takes some kids coming in longer to realize that sometimes just working hard isn't enough to be good in this league. It takes a completely other level of dedication that they have never had to even consider because what they had done had always been enough to dominate. So it's easy for me as a former athlete and current coach envious of his opportunity to sit there and be like "hey man cmon you're in the NFL you should be so committed to this and do every little thing possible", in reality i can never really relate to the situation. While, yes I would have worked my ass off and did every single thing possible to succeed, that is because that is all I ever knew. A guy as insanely talented as QW has a completely different perspective on that than myself. Not trying to preach, I just think it's an interesting talking point to dissect when we analyze players.

  24. https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/adam-schein-jets-qb-sam-darnold-will-become-a-star-in-2020 "I still love Darnold," Schein wrote. "His rookie year was a classic roller-coaster ride, not at all helped by the offensive coordinating of Jeremy Bates, who was fired — along with head coach Todd Bowles — after the season. General manager Mike Maccagnan kept his job through 2019 free agency and the draft — and then got canned. Adam Gase was brought in to maximize New York's second-year quarterback ... and Darnold got mono. But don't let all of this misfortune color your view of the No. 3 pick of the 2018 draft. He still has plenty of promise, especially with competent leadership now in the front office." "General manager Joe Douglas has shown plenty of promise in a short time on the job, with a calculating, savvy approach," Schein wrote. "He brilliantly beefed up the offensive line this offseason, adding a whole bunch of big bodies in free agency and then spending the Jets' first-round pick on OT Mekhi Becton. This is how you properly protect a young quarterback, by OVERindulging on O-linemen. Now, Darnold's receiving corps is full of question marks, but Douglas did add the explosive Denzel Mims in Round 2 of the draft." "Down the stretch last season, after Darnold was recovered from mono, the young QB excelled," Schein wrote. "From Week 9 through 17, he averaged 245.2 passing yards per game and compiled a 14:5 TD-to-INT ratio, leading the Jets to a 6-3 record. Darnold has every intangible and tangible you want in a true franchise quarterback. And in 2020, it all comes together over the course of a full season."

  32. I am not worried about Sam not having a number 1 target. He's good enough to make his average receivers better. The problem last year was protection, not so much his ability to move the chains. Getting him a top end receiver would have been nice but I think Douglas is betting on the fact that Sam doesn't really need one. That's why he put all his eggs into the OL and making thiz team competitive overall.

  33. Max I thank you for the effort you are making. I don't post that much but I have been a member for a long time and feel like I am part of a community here. I think this is a sincere effort to lessen tensions on the board and provide an outlet for civil discussion which is needed in today's troubled times. I for one have more faith in the people on this board than some and think constructive airing of differences can be accomplished, especially with people who share a common passion for the Jets. I will check out the clubs because I would like to hear opposing views and try to understand them. When you listen only to the news feeds that support your views you start to think that the other side is not only wrong but misguided with bad intentions. By listening to other people we can hopefully find common ground and realize we agree on more than we disagree. Maybe I'm being unrealistic but most of us are decent people who care about their fellow man, irrespective of the political aisle they fall on. I have no doubt you and the mods can police the clubs because you already police the forums extremely well and keep the trolls and trouble makers at bay. I also think this will make it more likely the football discussions stay about football. Thanks again.

  37. I hope they both have a great year. But... I have my doubts about Bell bouncing back to what he once was. And would not be surprised to see Perine getting lots of carries by the 2nd half/stretch drive of the season. And taking over next year at least as a semi featured back. With Bell...due to his hefty contract...probably being released rather then traded. Mosley's contract...well...it is what it is. JD inherited it. CJ is still in his prime though. And if fully recovered...should be able to continue his career at a high level. So...if Mosley is Mosley...I would expect JD to let him play a few more years. Then who knows...CJ could be part of a Lombardi Trophy ceremony. I'm excited to see Mosley...healthy...and playing an impact role in this defense this year.

  40. I disagree and think that Becton starts LT right away. I think it’d be harder for him to do a position change his rookie year rather than to refine the position he’s already been playing for years. - Fant has experience on the R side - Becton is actually already pretty good on the left side - Becton is enormous and even if technique raw the edge guys still have to figure out how to get around his mass and length - Becton can’t be worse than Mr Nice Guy Beachum who was not good (and still isn’t signed) I may be wrong but I say keep Mekhi on the blind side
