The words they exchanged: G: “Hey Alex, we’re going to play Elflein this week to see what’s he’s got, and to help your shoulder heal” AL: “Get the **** out, that is so very considerate.” G: “Of course man, I love the sh*t outta you, now get the **** out I have more plays to study.” *Alex goes in for hug* G: ”...ah ah ah, COVID man, save that hug for later you knucklehead!”24 points

Trevor Lawrence deserves him as an NFL head coach. • 14 years as an NFL QB. • The last time he had a QB with Trevor Lawrence's upside was a Freshman/Sophomore Andrew Luck; who he turned into the greatest QB prospect since Elway/Manning & went 12-1 @ Standford during Luck's Sophomore season (before bolting for the NFL). • Turned Alex Smith from a former #1 overall bust into an instant and immediate winner. • Led an average Kaep into the SB.. • .695% winning percentage. • 5th highest NFL Head Coaching Winning Percentage of All-Time. • 4 NFL seasons consisting of 0 losing seasons, 3 NFL Championship Games & 1 SB Appearance. Jim Harbaugh deserves a 2nd NFL stint alongside of Trevor Lawrence just like Bill Belichick deserved a 2nd NFL stint alongside of Tom Brady (he deserves to be listed as a top 10 candidate on your list too, because if not; your top 10 list is an absolute joke imo without his name listed above).18 points

Becton & Mims 2 best draft picks for Jets over the last 10 years. Both more important than Jamal Adams.16 points

Gase is a thin skinned, incompetent coward and the worst "leader" the NFL has ever seen.16 points

Gase is probably the worst thing to ever happen to this franchise and that’s saying something. I have NEVER seen more of an incompetent head coach in ANY sport, professional or not. However, this speaks volumes about the person that hired him.12 points

The only two times it makes sense to fire a coach in season is if the owner just can't stand to look at him anymore or if he loses the locker room. Chris Johnson is an idiot and loves Gase. It appeared the team was sticking together but if they start to show cracks and a revolt forms, they might have to get Gase outta there. If the Raiders game is ugly and we hear more stories like this watch out11 points

I find it really interesting that many here want Harbaugh because he came close to winning a Super Bowl, but will completely refuse to consider a guy who actually won one, with his back-up QB no less. We’re not talking 20 years ago either. We’re talking a recent championship. Philly is struggling because Howie Roseman hasn’t drafted well and Wentz took an unprecedented nosedive. Pederson has gotten recklessly aggressive because he is trying everything in his power to win games. This is remarkably similar to Reid’s last year in Philly. I’d take him in a heartbeat.11 points

$3.8M in roster bonus, due the fifth day of the league year, and $4.6M in guaranteed salary. If money's the issue, the Jets could eat the bonus and trade him after that fifth day. They're going to be able to trade him, though, that's not an issue. All it takes is one team that thinks they can do a better job with Darnold than the Jets have done, and there are probably 31 such teams (and they're all right).10 points

If Randy Moss and Jerry Rice had a baby and that baby was impregnated by Calvin Johnson, the grand baby would be Denzel Mims.10 points

If we hire Bienemy, it will set us back another 4 years. Wash and repeat. There's a reason the man has went through 2-3 hiring cycles with no offers. He is getting to these interviews and then bombing them because he isnt Andy Reid. That much is obvious.9 points

Mims was one of my favorite players in the draft. I was pissed we traded back at 48. The fact that we got him at 59 is miraculous. JD is amazing and Mims is a stud. it will be fun to watch his career.9 points

Maybe it was that Metcalf had a body fat percentage that indicated he is clinically dead? I don't like to draft guys that are clinically dead, it's like numero uno on my list of criteria, clinically alive.8 points

What is this? No way do half of these even get interviews. Hackett, Leftwich, Kafka, Schotty, and Obrien wont even get interviews. Bienemy will get one but only to appease the Rooney Rule. Daboll, Roman, Carmichael, and Brady will probably all get interviews. Jim Harbaugh will rightfully get pushed by the Johnsons. Matt Campbell will get hired while all of this is happening.8 points

It would be so funny if Big Joey D just up and gives Alex Lewis a contract extension right now.8 points

If the locker room isnt a disaster at 0-11 it's not going to be any worse for the wear on the way to 0-16. Ownership is riding the Gase train to the end of the season/when their draft slot is secure, whichever comes first, no matter how many of these stories go out.8 points

One thing that about the Ravens roster that I'm fixated on for whatever reason. I think RG3 as the backup to Lamar is so smart. He has practically the exact same skill set, it just seems like such a common sense move to have a backup QB who is just the "lite" version of your starter. That is hardly every the case though! Lots of NFL teams have a completely different skillet at Backup QB than Starter. It never made sense to me7 points

Vegas had the O/U for Jet wins at 6.5 going into this season. There's a very real chance that Gasehole is going to underachieve by 6.5.7 points

DK Metcalf just feels like a JD pick at WR. He’s 6’4 with 4.3 speed. JD values height and speed. Whiteside is very slow.7 points

Exactly. I hate most of these names mentioned above; especially glorified RB coach in Bienemy who was one of the worst play callers as an Offensive Coordinate within the history of NCAA football (before being blessed with Mahomes, Hill, Watkins, Kelce, an A+ offensive line and the real QB/Offensive Guro who runs the KC show in Andy Reid). Hiring Bienemy would be worse than hiring Mangini while thinking we were getting Bill Belichick.7 points

Here is the plan. CJ fires Gase. Press conference the day after the season ends. Woody comes in Vince McMahon style and tells CJ thanks but he is no longer in charge.7 points

Lewis is now my favorite player ever.7 points

This locker room seems pretty content with 0-11. Maybe Lewis farted in Gase’s office and he told him to “Get the f*ck out”. I would totally understand and actually support Gase it this happened.7 points

We're blaming JD for missing on the 64th overall pick while he worked for a team and wasnt the GM? Nice! I like this exercise! Seems useful.6 points

Enough with the scapegoating. The Jets suck, and Darnold sucks. They're not mutually-exclusive. A bad OL doesn't make Sam make boneheaded decisions even when he has a clean pocket, nor does a terrible HC.6 points

They'll be able to trade him, we just may not get what we want for him. I'm sure Douglas is looking for a #1 or #2 but at best I see a #3 at this point6 points

Nathanal Hacketts dad is Paul Hackett. Cross him off the list just for that. And you gotta be kidding me with Bill O’Brien? I’d rather Jason Garret. Also you can cross off all these guys for me except Brady, Bienemy, and Daboll. Those seem the best 3 candidates6 points

Not a fair comparison. D.K Metcalf is blessed with a future HOF QB in Russell Wilson who opposing defenses have to focus on first and foremost. While Denzel Mims is stuck with an old statue in Joe Flacco and an absolute NFL bust in Sam Darnold... NCAA Stats: Denzel Mims: 40 games. 186 receptions (4.65 catches per game), 2,925 receiving yards (73.1 receiving yards per game), 15.7 yards per catch and 28 TD receptions (0.7 TD receptions per game). D.K Metcalf: 21 games. 67 receptions (3.19 catches per game), 1,228 receiving yards (58.4 receiving yards per game), 18.3 yards pee catch and 14 TD receptions (0.6 TD receptions per game). So is it that D.K Metcalf is really "better' than Denzel Mims or is it that D.K Metcalf has RUSSELL WILSON and Denzel Mims doesn't? Their first 5 NFL games: Denzel Mims: 17 receptions, 284 receiving yards and 0 TD's (catch rate of 51.5%). D.K Metcalf: 12 receptions, 267 receiving yards and 2 TD receptions (catch rate of 46.2%). Reverse and switch up the tables and put Denzel Mims with Russell Wilson over the past two years and stick Metcalf alongside both Flacco/Darnold throughout his first 5 NFL games and I guarantee you that Denzel Mims would blow D.K Metcalf out the waters under these circumstances...6 points

- I like Mims - I was very happy we got him where we did in the draft. - Early indications are really good. - Some of these early comparisons are way way way over the top. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2UlSQDOaqE6 points

Meltdown? Nah. I'd just completely lose interest in this trash fire that will remain the punchline of this league. Tell you what, If Gase is fired within 5 days of the last Sunday of the regular seaaon, you leave the board for a year....and if Gase is still HC at the time of the draft, I leave this board FOREVER. Put your money where your mouth is, or are you just a full of sh*t troll? Let's go. Can I get a witness? @Jetsfan80 @Defense Wins Championships @14 in Green @T0mShane @JiF @Creepy Lurker @Mogglez @sec101row23 @Spoot-Face @UntouchableCrew5 points
