  2. Hi Everyone - we upgraded the software last week and we had a few threads of comments and feedback. We have incorporated all the feedback that we could and I wanted to start a new thread with some explanations. If you look on the top right you will see a moon icon. That lets you change the look and feel of the site to Dark Mode. Basically it is a black background and a lot of people were requesting that. If you are in that and you want to go back to the white background just click the light bulb and it will change back to white. We received a bunch of feedback saying the

  4. I'm a full blown draftnik geek. Because the Jets suck so bad, many of us enjoy the draft season more then the regular season. The glimmer of hope, if you will but at the end of the day, picks are simply resources and bargaining chips and that is how you have to view them. You cant be a simple, one track mind on how to acquire talent. Not everyone can draft like the Steelers and Packers and not that it was egregiously bad but it's not like JD hit a homerun with his first draft. We got 1 dude and a bunch of hope. It's a gamble. Always. No matter how good you think the prospect is. Th

  5. If Joe Douglas would even consider this, then Joe Douglas should not be the GM of the NY Jets. Keep drafting QB's until you find one; don't ruin your franchise moving forward because some Jack*** who had your job previously has had three franchise QB's staring him in the face when he goes to make a pick and he has taken a defensive player each and every time.

  6. Mclain: Expects he will be traded. Dolphins & Jets are most likely trade partners. Discussions with Jets should start with with both 1s this year and next, plus 2s this year and next plus Darnold who can start while you groom your QB. (He said this, not me. I like Watson, but not for 6 picks and Sam) If they believe Tua is franchise QB, they can deal with Phins for Tua, two 1s, two 2s and another high 2022 pick. Does not see it being anyone but Jets or Dolphins; and if they don't like Tua, they shoud work with Jets exclusively because of value of #2. Did not mention

  8. 4 1's including the #2 , that's a value of like 6 1st rounders. lol Plus 2 2's. I surely hope Douglas laughs at that. I honestly don't think the Fish are interested. Most I offer is #2. If pressed I'd kick in #86 and Darnold. That's it.

  12. Yes I think Washington is a very realistic landing spot for Sam in a trade. And as far as Alex Smith goes, I’d bring him in here as a backup to work with whatever rookie QB we draft whether it be Wilson or Fields.

  15. Look, ill be frank.. Watson is an excellent QB, but this team is in no position to give up 4 firsts and 2 seconds for anyone. It's just a silly premise to me, I get people want a relevancy, but I'm not wiling to sacrifice building a team for that. You trade that haul away and youre left with some FA's and Watson. Lets not forget that the jets have 25 FA's and only like 28 players actually signed toward the roster next year either, we need these draft picks to restock the cupboards. I would love to add watson to this team, but if thats the asking price i just couldnt do it. This roste

  16. You don't bring guys like this to solve your quarterback problem. You bring them in to be a floor. To set a minimum standard for your rookie/reclamation project to have to surpass before hitting the field. Like Kurt Warner did for the Giants.

  17. I’d fully endorse him as a Jet, if he is part of a comprehensive plan to upgrade the position - or insurance against Sam this year.

  28. At first glance when I saw this on Kipers Mock, I was like, HELL NO!. Then I started to think about it a bit. Give Sam a weapon like Pitts plus Mims with a season under his belt. Plus the additional draft capital that can be used to add OL, RB and perhaps another receiver, especially if Crowder is traded or released. We could also address the CB/Edge positions as well. Maybe sign another vet quarterback to back up Sam and Morgan. If Sam proves that he is just not the guy, we will still have 2 first round picks in 2022 plus whatever other assets and can focus on finding our quarterbac

  30. This guy is the Texans mouth piece. When they wanted them to say he wasn’t getting traded, that’s what he said. When they wanted him to say Q had to be in the deal, that’s what he said. Now he’s not even mentioning Q bc it’s a nonstarter The anti Watson people think that whatever McClain says is what the Texans are going to get and at the same time think that’s way too much. Its just one side of the negotiations he’s already backed off his original suggestion. He’s also acknowledged the value the Jets hold with the 2nd overall pick. If the Texans get what McClain is now suggesting

  33. Picks next year are worth less than picks this year. Sitting him cost them trade capital. Everything moves back a year. The team will stink and the pressure on their GM and HC goes up and his value goes down once he actually is sitting out. I think they get absolute max value before this draft. If it comes to sitting out their leverage goes down. Teams have made other plans, etc., etc., etc.

  34. I feel like this is the bulk of why the Jets are in pole position, because any trade involving Miami and Houston would require both teams to eat some sh*t to make it work, and it really comes down to whether Houston wants Tua or Zack Wilson, and I can’t see how they sell Tua to the Houston fanbase after he’s been exposed so badly and so quickly in the league. Honestly, I don’t see how either Tua or Darnold make sense as trade chips for Houston if saving face is a consideration.

  35. The asking price he referenced in the interview is laughable. Let some other team do that deal. That said, and because it's silly season where everyone is lying, I believe that is nothing more than a starting point. The Jets are in this, and I don't think they need to part with nearly as much as was referenced in the interview. I trust JD to do the right thing. Get Watson at reasonable cost or move on...

  36. I mean Mclain is plugged in and now EXPECTS Watson will be traded - that means this is happening. The Jets will be first in line meaning Watson really could be a Jet if Douglas is willing to pay the price. What a poker game this is turning out to be. Houston may very well be desperate to make a deal with the JETS and much prefer them to Miami. JD knows this so maybe he can play hardball but how tight can he play this without losing out? At this point the biggest questions are: How much does Texas need to save face? What do they think of Tua? - if they love Tua that is

  38. Are you freaking kidding me. Flacco was shut out by Miami. Effing Miami for crying out loud. How is that better than Darnold? Flacco also lost every game he played and Sam won two. I would take Darnold over Flacco as my starter any day.

  39. He did not mention QW at all. Although if Houston's starting point is Sam, four 1s and two 2s, there is likely to be a lot of negotiations where a lot of names come up until a deal would be reached. I can't see us agreeing to a deal that puts is into the next two drafts with no picks until R3.

  40. McClane is and has been been for a long time, the most plugged in media person, local or national, to the Houston Texans. This interview might not offer anything new, but to dismiss anything he says about the situation is silly.

  43. You simply do not have to commit to Darnold long term this year. Most people on here feel he is totally shot but you would know for sure next year if the gase factor is real or not. You can still trade darnold this year if you wish and still trade down. There are placeholder QBs out there, I'd rather have one of the top end Wr's than Pitts. People feel you MUST get Watson or you MUST draft a QB at #2. You do not have to do either and you can punt Darnold if you wish as well. Have a good draft, add draft assets for next year, build the team and then add the final pie

  44. I'm shooting it down because they've already had the same amount of starts, and Brees was already good, and because Sam Darnold is the worsts QB in the league, for starts over the past 3 years, something Brees never was. Bringing up Drew Brees is just a desperate attempt at optimism about the leagues worst QB, who shares very few, if any, attributes with him.
