  1. I think what you are missing is his entire 2020 season?

  2. Joe D is having his second draft and is in his third paid year by the jets. I dont want to hear about patience and the system anymore this is joe's team and it is time to play competitive football and be held accountable. since his tenor started his free agents were mostly bad and he let key players go(some will say that was his plan all along and everything is on target) Joe will now have his coach and his qb and two drafts under his built and three years as a paid employee I want to see a team with talent that can compete. I dont want to hear hey you dont exp

  4. I’m typing this post from about 35,000 ft. Flying back to NJ to see my father who I haven’t seen in almost 2 years due to Covid. Grilling some steaks, drinking some beers, cursing the Jets draft picks, and throwing things at the TV are a strong part of a father/son bond and I’m looking forward to this. By the end of Day 2 we’ve usually come around to convincing ourselves that the Jets are hitting a home run (even if they aren’t). The old man isn’t quite up to manning the BBQ anymore so I’ll be out back firing up some ribeyes and twice baked potatoes on his grill, with a Jack Daniels by

  5. The way things stand right now, if anything happens to GVR, our Guards might be Lewis and Clark, which would be ironic because they would never actually discover the end zone.

  11. Jets fans know more of college football than any other fan base. Our season is always over by October so we switch our attention to the Saturday games for our football fill.

  13. Over the years many have voiced opinions on draft selections and have been better at doing it than the NY Jets. Draft day is our glimmer of hope that this team can actually improve each year.

  14. How many of us truly watch college games to judge the NFL draft? The reality is that we are guided by stats and media highlight reels to amp our judgement. Matter of fact, most of us don't even understand the basic X's and O's of the game itself. I feel that most fans have the common denominator of being manipulated by the media. We are critical about draft picks because they are mostly sold to us by the media. The bottom line of this thread is that we need to trust our GM, scouts and coaching staff on the draft. If you are a loyal fan, with very basic knowledge or zero-to-none colle

  15. Color me optimistic. One thing is clear, by Sunday, this team will be a better team then it is today. We will have our starting QB, an improved O line, a young CB prospect and hopefully an offensive weapon or two. We have a whole new MUCH IMPROVED coaching staff, and prob the best coaching hire of the off season. I truly think we will and can compete this year and moving forward compete EVERY year. Tomorrow I do hope JD emphasis is offensive. We made some gradual D improvements in FA. We cannot make the same Darnold mistake nor do I think the Jets will. I feel confident abou

  23. There are a ton of moving parts as always, but here's the pulse I've gotten the past few days + some of my own observations as it relates to the Jets/OL: Sewell is pretty much locked into the top 7. I'm going to say that he goes #7 to DET, or a team trading up for him. Regarding the Chargers: I expect them to trade up, whether it be for Sewell or Slater I'm not sure. But I don't expect them to wait for a tackle to fall to them. Chicago will look to move up if their QB (Lance) is in reaching distance. Figure picks 8-12 is their range. If this does not happen, they are prim

  24. Taking a defensive player with one high pick when you have three in the top 34 and six in the top 107 is hardly not developing a QB properly. This "the only thing that matters is the QB" myopia is what leads to building the 2020 Houston Texans, where the QB has nothing short of an MVP type season, but the team is 4-12 because the defense blows. People like to talk about everything that was in place for Mark Sanchez' arrival -the OL, the running game- but the #1 asset he had on that team was the #1 defense in the NFL. The pressure was never on him to have to score 30 points a game.

  26. I'm becoming cautiously optimistic the Jets will navigate a way to land OL Alijah Vera-Tucker. Unlike Douglas to prioritize interior OL in the first-round, but I think the man is hellbent on solving this unit once and for all. Also credit to Connor Hughes if it does play out the way he suggested in his mock (trade up for him). I really do think a scenario exists where the Jets move up a few spots for him

  27. Davis may have been a surprise to Jet fans, but he was not a reach. Ourlads ranked him in the upper half of the second round. I had him as the BAP when we took him and was quite pleased at the time. A full round drop is where an alert GM should pounce. Nor is he a bust, he started most of the year and began to come on late when he got hurt. He was also thrown into the game when it became clear that McDougle had nothing left. Not ideal. There is still plenty of upside to work with. Let's see what Saleh makes of him in the new scheme.

  28. Both were better picks than Perine. That was a disaster. Davis actually made a lot of sense given they would have had know Adams was out.

  29. ...for us Jets fans, that is. This is our one fleeting day of hope through the year. Historically. Man, am I looking forward to this. I really do like the staff the Jets have put together. Got high hopes for Zach in a QB-friendly offensive scheme that will highlight his abilities to create. Can't wait to see us back in a more traditional 4-3 since what? ...Herm? I really think that Joey D is going to make us pretty happy after this weekend. You're getting down to brass tacks when you replace the medical and training staff and not just shrugging your shoulders, darting around your weird b

  37. Yes.. and watch Mahommes and Watson go by the board as our experts steer the ship. FUKK that. The JETS suck at management and I can tell you the ride has not been enjoyable. Kyle Wilson seem like a well studied pick? Vlad Ducasse?

  38. Prefer: AVT, Teven Jenkins Give me IOL, although I can see both of these guys being gone which might make it more tantalizing to pick OL with the 2nd rounder and shift to some of these others. Acceptable: Kwity Paye, Jayson Oweh, Azeez Ojulari Not going to bullsh*t you here, I couldn't pick out any of the three other than watching their highlights but they fill a need at a premium position. Intriguing: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Kardarious Toney LB is a very weak spot on the roster thats largely overlooked and ignored so I could see Owusu as a nice fill in although LB wo

  40. The Jets had the worst Gms in the league for like 7 years. By far the worst coach the league for two years. A dismal oline and no weapons. Showing concern about the Jets is smart and means the guy is not some naive schmuck unaware of his surroundings.

  42. Hey guys, its been a little while since posting. Earlier this year moved out of my parents house into my own house, and in between re-painting EVERY ROOM but 2, I have been hard at work on my den which has become my Jets Man Cave. I'm really happy with how this has turned out. I had a rough idea of how I wanted to do things, but it became like a puzzle and all the pieces began falling place. There's a lot of depressing stuff going on right now, so i'm hoping to provide a little relief unveiling it off to the rest of my JetNation friends The first part is what you see when you com

  44. I'm not a Wilson fanboy. Gun to my head I think I'd take Fields. I just don't like when people lie or spread factually incorrect information. It's just not correct to suggest that BYU only played inferior talent and that Wilson struggled against anyone who wasn't inferior competition. It is bullsh*t. Boise State has defeated BYU in recruiting every year for the last 4 years. They have better players. Against Boise State Zach went 22 of 28 for 360 yards with 3 TDs and 0 INTs. Houston has defeated BYU in recruiting every year for the last 4 years. They have better players. Ag
