  1. Are you feeling it? So much negativity, so much stress all around but are you feeling it? There is a new era of Jets football here. Mikey Macc is gone. Adam Gase is gone. Robert Saleh is here. This team is going to move fast. They will make mistakes but they won't sit back on their heels. If you are going to make a mistake, make it fast. Let's go. New QB. New offense. A legitimate NFL game plan. Quite the refreshing change. People are still sleeping on the Jets. They are paying for the sins of their fathers. This roster isn't perfect, far from it. But this team is going to punch people in the mouth. That starts Sunday with a win over the Panthers. Let's Go!!!!

  2. Very happy to see direct tv is out. Hate that company.

  3. Nope. Because we got the most important thing right, Robert Saleh. I feel like we’ve got a steady hand on the wheel, a real leader of men. The Jets are better prepared now than they possibly have ever been to overcome hurdles and challenges.

  4. Tough break, but at least we have enough WR talent that we're not truly desperate. Lets see how the other kids play, Mims will have an opportunity I think to step up this week, Davis should establish himself as a #1 right off, and (presuming he is fully healthy), Moore gets his big debut. Davis/Mims/Moore feels a heckofalot better than what we rolled out week one last year, Perriman/Crowder/Hogan.

  5. That's not a player who was ever on the Jets. It's (really) a totally different Connor McGovern. We still have ours.

  6. for the E Moore explosion -very excited to see his debut and with crowder on the covid list and the jaq known as cole gimpy it is shaping up for a great opportunity for the explosive young wr who reminds me of a modern day wesley walker (yes I know he has not played a snap yet but wes was one of my favorite jets growing up and Moore reminds me of him ) I fully believe Moore is the real deal and will make his fellow ole miss alumns dk and and aj proud. starting week one. This pick was my favorite move of the Joe D era so far.

  11. First time in over a year that I will be able to unequivocally root for the Jets! I'm loving the makeup of this team. We might not be world beaters this year, but actually having guys to root for, and a real hope to build something. Thank you Joe Douglas, thank you!

  12. Nice signing. Has been on active rosters, and was a good college player with C/G versatility. A solid depth addition with some upside, I think. Draft profiles identified him as a good fit in a zone-blocking scheme due to his mobility.

  13. DirecTV is as good as dead without Sunday Ticket. Guaranteed at least 80% of their subscribers are signed up solely for that.

  15. Exactly why you don’t trade him / WR talent. A 17 week season, would bet the farm that we’ll be happy he’s suiting up when one (or two… or three) of our guys cannot.

  16. Tom Bradys team was caught cheating 3 times and had to forfeit picks. That is the ONLY the time they were caught, I have zero doubt that the Pats got away with far worse. He has also has had a totally free ride by the refs for 20 years. I could give a spit how many rings he has, he is part of a cheating scum bag set of teams and his legacy to me is as a cheating scum bag.

  22. Seems to me that more fans are optimistic than pessimistic right now, while also having a pretty realistic view of win-loss expectations (read: that 5.5 number from Vegas probably isn’t far off). That’s my mindset, anyway. I like JD, I like Saleh, I like LaFluer, I like Wilson. I think they’re building the foundation of something that can be really good, but is probably a year away from competing for the playoffs. Rookies make mistakes, rookies hit the wall during the much longer NFL season, and the Jets have a lot of rookies from the head coach on down. I’m down to watch them work thru the growing pains this year. Make some plays, and give me some real hope for the future.

  24. 32 passes, 7 rushes for the Cowboys. One of the 7 was the scramble by Prescott on the last play. This is not the game I grew up watching.

  25. If we hired McCarthy, Mac would be the GM, Sam would be on a 5th year option and the Jets would still suck.

  27. As Saleh said, he believes both Guidry and Carter II are starters in this league. I think based off what we've seen and heard from Camp and preseason, Hall and those 2 are our best 3 Defensive Backs we have right now. That would be the case even if we still had Bless imo. I think Echols and Dunn do have some good potential. But Guidry and Hall both have at least some NFL experience from last year and Michael Carter honestly looks really good in the slot. As much as I like Hall, I think Michael Carter might already be our best CB on the team. Now with Guidry.. he's one of the fastest players in the entire NFL and that's great to have on the field with the Panthers having speed everywhere. Unfortunately he is very small at 5'9. Makes sense why he's a Nickel going against typically smaller, quicker, shifty slots. And you don't really want him against those big bodied Outside WRs that have a high catch radius. So why would we want him on Robby or Moore? Because to me, with Terrace Marshall (Panthers rookie #3 WR) being 6'3, he's going to get picked on even easier in the middle of the field on high throws where Sam is more comfortable throwing to the slot than the deep sideline. Also when Robby was in the slot last year, Joe Brady liked to run fades (from the slot to the sideline) to expose that 1on1 matchup and I fully believe he's going to have Marshall do that a lot this year. I think our best bet is Guidry on Moore, Hall on Robby with Safety help, and MCII in the slot. Carter's not much bigger than Guidry, but at least we get our 3 best out there and when we do go man coverage on 3rd down we have the ability to occasionally win those reps if Sam doesnt have much time. Our cornerbacks play 1 side of the field so Guidry would be on Robby a lot also.. but atleast he has the speed to stay with him and would force Sam to make accurate throws outside the numbers. Those are the throws I want to see him try to make with pressure coming up the middle. Saleh did say he wanted to find a way to get Carter II and Guidry on the field at the same time. And with them having a tall slot receiver, its not like we can hide Javelin's height regardless of where he is. So why not get our best 3 out there? This is assuming Guidry can make the adjustment to outside instead of inside. I wouldn't bring it up if Saleh didn't mention his name as 1 of the guy's fighting for the spot. What do you guys think?

  28. I will absolutely state without hesitation, Directv can kiss my ass the day the 2022 season ends.

  29. If the Jets think Guidry can play outside, then line him up there. He's solidly built and has elite speed. Sure, he's only 5ft9, but so was Aaron Glenn.

  34. https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/amazon-is-front-runner-for-sunday-ticket-rights/?source=home While many big names have shown interest in acquiring rights to NFL’s Sunday Ticket, Amazon has become the front runner in the race. Sources for CNBC say that Amazon has shown “serious interest” in Sunday Ticket, after signing a deal for around $1 billion for Thursday Night Football beginning next year. We’ve known for over a year that several big names have been looking into bringing Sunday Ticket to streaming as we reported back in February 2020 that Amazon, Apple, and Google were all showing interest. Amazon is facing tough competition when it comes to winning the fight for Sunday Ticket. ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro told Bloomberg earlier this week that ESPN was having “exploratory conversations” about the package. “It’s an incredibly valuable product,” he said. Disney CEO Bob Chapek shared during the company’s quarterly earnings call earlier this year that his company is also “in conversations” with the NFL, noting that the company would only pursue the deal if they found it made financial sense. Apple also expressed interested in using rights to the package of games as a way to grow Apple TV+ earlier this summer. CNBC reports that the NFL will be asking between $2 billion and $2.5 billion per year for rights to the football package after its deal with DirecTV ends. The source said that the NFL wants to make a deal before the end of the current season. The bottom line is as many believed, ATT/DIRECTV is out.

  36. I just couldn’t take direct tv anymore. I’d always sign up thinking I was paying $90 a month and my first bill after renewing would arrive and it somehow was up to $160 or more. Direct tv is the equivalent of a phone book. Some of these other large service providers still have an in because they provide internet but direct tv literally only has Sunday ticket. I haven’t looked into it for a single second over the last 3-4 years but I’m kind of surprised they didn’t do a better job pivoting to streaming while there was an opening. Regardless, whoever takes it over should be able to sell to a much wider audience since you won’t be stuck having to use direct tv’s service. If it’s prime, you’re paying $13 a month plus whatever ticket will cost. Much better option than having to pay for over priced satellite tv and Sunday ticket. I’d much rather pay for a legit service from one of these streaming services than have to watch bootleg streams from wherever I can find it.

  44. The quality in ZW that most reminds me of Namath is "spatial awareness" .... that's one of the things that Romo said sets Wilson apart. I remember in Mark Kreigel's (sp?) book on Namath, he said that Namath saw the possible shots on a pool table like no one else. He could envision how he would clear the table before even taking his first shot. Namath saw the field like very few QBs could. He could look at the field and know what it was going to look like over the next 4 ort 5 seconds (a football play eternity). I do think that Zach may be special when it comes to this all important trait. QBs with great spatial awareness see that a receiver "will be" open even when he is covered at the moment. QBs who lack this ability see an open receiver and are hesitant to throw because they don't know he'll still be open after he throws the ball. I think this was part of Darnold's problem.
