  1. Just unreal. The march of time goes on. God bless all those lost on that day, and those who've suffered every day since.

  2. Me and a whole lot of others joined up right after that. Today I get to help support military families for a job, tomorrow we are sending over 4000 care packages to troops deployed right now all over the world. #neverforget

  3. 20 Years ago right now, I was having a cold Guinness in Jameson Pub in Rockaway Beach NY, watching Monday Night Football.... I had received my Honorable Discharge from the Army less than a month prior. Contemplating what I was going to do for a career. The last normal night in modern American history. I went into the fire service 100 days later. Remember Fallen Brothers. Never Forget.

  5. It's remarkable that it's already been 20 years. But not a year goes by that it doesn't feel like yesterday. We all know where we were on that horrific day. I will always remember this day as if it happened just moments ago. My heart goes out to all those who's lives were lost, to the families who suffered, to the men and woman who continue to sacrifice their lives to this day, and to Americans to stay strong even in the darkest of times. To everyone who sacrificed everything and to those that left loved ones behind that day when they did nothing more then go to work. We miss you!! Never forge

  6. Some still remember, but it's always shocking to me to see how many have forgotten or just don't care. Think about where we were as a nation on September 12th of that year. Think about the unity and comradery we felt with our friends, neighbors and co-workers. Then look at what we've devolved to become. So sad.

  7. I'm watching a documentary on CBS about the intelligence community leading up to the attack. I really can't believe how its affecting me. 20 years on, and I'm crying like the day it happened. Its amazing how some things can get seared into your mind, your soul. I can only imagine its much like those who remember Pearl Harbor or the assassination of John F. Kennedy. 20 years. Simply unreal.

  8. I think one of the most pathologically, dishonest things that reporters say today is when they're constantly comparing this team to last year's 2-14 team. I see it everywhere and honestly, at least for me, it's been the easiest thing to laugh off. Those reporters that think there are any similarities to last year's team are just plain dumb. They're desperately grasping at straws because they know the title of "same ole Jets" is going away. This team is on the right path. I believe that. I'm a negative prick most of the time. So when positivity comes from me you know this must be a differe

  9. When I think 9/11, I don't just think of the victims of that day. I think also of all the victims of misguided U.S. policy that also had to pay with their lives because of those 19 Saudis. We should keep in mind, we rightfully mourn the 2,977 of our friends and family killed on 9/11 by those 19 Saudi Terrorists. Yet we've also lost 2,420 of our kids, and 19,950 wounded and maimed for life in Afghanistan. We've lost 4,825 of our kids, and 32,292 wounded and maimed for life in Iraq. That's over 7,000 dead and 50,000 wounded, and countless more mentally damaged beyond repair

  10. Sam Darnold, Mac Jones, Teddy Bridgewater, Ryan Tannehill, Matt Ryan, Joe Burrow, Carson Wentz? Josh Allen, Tua, Tyrod Taylor, Jalen Hurts, Jameis Winston, Trevor Lawrence, Tom Brady. If there was ever going to be a season to roll with a young defense, This would be the one. This is about as cupcake of a qb run that you'll ever see in the NFL these days.

  11. I think the malpractice level coaching of the previous two years cannot be underestimated. While the roster is not yet playoff caliber, IMHO it was at least four or five win level last year. It's why I am optimistic that with better coaching and a better roster, six or better should be achievable - or at least, competitive games with few or no blowouts, which were routine under the previous staff.

  12. Are you feeling it? So much negativity, so much stress all around but are you feeling it? There is a new era of Jets football here. Mikey Macc is gone. Adam Gase is gone. Robert Saleh is here. This team is going to move fast. They will make mistakes but they won't sit back on their heels. If you are going to make a mistake, make it fast. Let's go. New QB. New offense. A legitimate NFL game plan. Quite the refreshing change. People are still sleeping on the Jets. They are paying for the sins of their fathers. This roster isn't perfect, far from it. But this team is goin

  15. For reasons I won't get into, 9/11 was the most traumatic day of my life by far, as it was fo so many others. Sadly, we have largely already forgotten if not worse than forgotten.

I'm not making light of Anything that occurred that dreadful day but it also caused a young Robert Saleh to reevaluate his life & leave the world of finance & follow his dream of being a football coach... I Wish you a Long & Successful Career (Multiple Super Bowl Wins) as the Head Coach of The New York Jets Robert Saleh. God Bless All who were murdered that day.

  19. Yeah but your takes aren’t received as well when they’re “look at the QBs we play, if we don’t get 8 wins this season is a fail” vs. “look at the QBs we play, it’s a good opportunity for our defense to grow without having to consistently face experienced elite QBs”

  22. We did a day trip with the kids 8/21/2001 to Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty and the WTC, went to the observation deck. On 9/13/2001 I stood in the plaza as the search for survivors was still going on. Still affects me...

  28. This might be a huge win for cord cutters. Hopefully they have an a la carte option. Have single team games at like $10/month (this matters for those of us that are not in market). Let’s see what they do. DirectTV forces you to buy everything they sell including who knows what channel.

  34. Why would you think that? It is not Amazon's style at all. In fact, I would expect it to be quite reasonable on Amazon. Amazon wants you to join Prime as Prime members buy tons of crap off their site. It is why they are investing over a billion $ in the Wheel of Time and Lord of the Rings TV series. Amazon would likely sell it as part of some Amazon Plus subscription that is $5-$10 more expensive than the regular one. Now for bars that might be a different thing.

  35. Except that Tom Brady is still the best QB in football. Pocket passers will always have a place in the NFL - more now than ever because QB's are barely allowed to be hit any more.

  39. Nice signing. Has been on active rosters, and was a good college player with C/G versatility. A solid depth addition with some upside, I think. Draft profiles identified him as a good fit in a zone-blocking scheme due to his mobility.

  43. I can understand this sentiment if you're talking about their warehouse and delivery, but their streaming service and setup is far superior to everything else. The content is better, the options are vastly better, it's a very natural fit for the NFL.
