Taking a million dollar check from a dying man, and then quiting days later and keeping the money? That's my #116 points

Over the course of his career Revis earned $85 million. Mahommes has a 10 year $450 million contract.11 points

Brady took a home town discount for 15+ years because his wife was the bread winner in that family by a long shot.9 points

I'm just excited...period. We're getting close to real football happening. I do hope to see Carl Lawson show off that same explosiveness he did last TC. Don't care how it gets done. I want to see this team fully healthy and ready to Rock'nRoll against the Ravens and rest of AFCN. Go 3-1 baby. Can't wait!8 points

Seriously, the pre-season cannot get here soon enough... Go Jets.7 points

Are you ******* kidding ??? You cannot compare Malhomes gifted contract to Revis' salary. The $$$ and team cap percentage are not close. A better comparrison would be Malholmes' and Watson's comedic contracts to that of the Goat Brady ... who was never the league's highest paid. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk6 points

I get steamed each time I see that as in really steamed. The phin is a gunner running out of bounds, Alosi is not even on the stripe and as a result Alsoi gets vilified and later fired. Mean while Mike Tomlin actually is on the field near the sidelines, prevents a kick return td due to his actions and everyone laughs it off and yucks it up.5 points

Back in the 70s, I was a "bucket boy"/booth squeegee tech at several Times Square porn emporiums. I was trying to pay off a family member's gambling debt. One day, as I was "tidying up" a booth, one of the gals offered me a ticket to that Sunday's Jet game as thanks for keeping the place spic & span. I enjoyed the game and have been a fan ever since.5 points

What a great and realistic, unselfish attitude . I wish some other athletes would read this and follow it. If you were happy with the contract when you signed it and you have the basic understanding that eventually somebody is going to get a bigger contract than you, accept it as inevitable. Play to win games and titles rather than constantly trying to top the biggest contract, hurting your team and everybody else along the way. Revis never ever understood this concept and that is why I lost all respect for him. Instead of trying to beat Asomugha, he should have tried harder to beat the Pats. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34281729/kansas-city-chiefs-patrick-mahomes-fine-no-longer-being-highest-paid-qb-knew-signed-deal-set-life4 points

I just want to say I've had this in both of my feet. It's incredibly painful almost crippling. If you've ever stepped on a nail and had it go through your foot, it feels like you're stepping on a nail five times a day. To try to explain it clearly it's not a singular incident like breaking a finger or a toe. It's a consistent nagging pain that goes on and on. For me it lasted about three and a half years. The tendons in the bottom of your feet stretch and tear till they basically look like Swiss cheese. It's not fun. Now I was just some pug working outside for 25 years wearing work boots changing windshields in police cars, fire trucks, school buses etc. I can't imagine how it must feel to be worth millions of dollars playing pro football and feel like you're stepping on nails all day.4 points

You had a point till the Brady comment. I absolutely cant stand when I hear this nonsense about Brady taking a discount. Such bull sh*t. The **** he did. One of the many ways, that we are aware of how the Pats cheated throughout their entire *****dynasty***** was circumventing the cap w/ TB12. Tom Brady as an Enterprise was making way more than other QB in the NFL from the Cheatriots.4 points

There’s literally a system for comparing numbers, and a way to factor inflation, cost of living, and cap space. It’s called math.4 points

Reminds me of Andy Reid. Fans were hesitant about him after leaving Philly. He then goes to KC and elevates that franchise. I want and think Saleh will succeed. I'm team Saleh for at least 1 more year. But I'm not against hiring Sean Payton at all.4 points

That was my vote too. But man that kissing thing really stands out...4 points

No. Let’s clear this up. The report on Becton is from June of 2021. There is nothing out there that says he is suffering from it now. Rucket is currently suffering from PF which is the reason why he’s on the Pup list. It was a known condition prior to the draft. I believe he skipped most of the combine and pro day workouts because of it.4 points

If he did only this and nothing else, then Bellecheck is the biggest scumbag in all of sports. If a NFL player took a bonus check, cashed it, and then resigned 2 days later to go take another contract with an opposing team, this news would light up the sports world. Why doesn't anyone other than Jets fans bring this up?3 points

Predictions - will be fun to see if i was right on ANY of them lol Mims sticks on 53 and jets keep 6WR BAM makes the 53 at expense of Ty or Coleman No Fullback makes 53 Mike White gets cut or traded doesnt make 53 - jets carry 2 QB If Becton healthy he wins LT (big if) Sauce has penalty issues and gets beat a lot (rookie pains in TC) Marshall wins the battle for one of the remaining DL spots beats out Rankins or Shepard Hall gets traded Pinnock wins FS spot Hardee gets cut3 points

I saw Namath in his last college game. I believe it was in the Orange Bowl against Texas. He had already hurt his knee, but he came limping off the bench to replace the Alabama starter, who was playing poorly. Joe proceeded to light up the Texas defense, displaying the quickest release I have ever seen, as well as incredible velocity. Yes, he was wearing his white shoes. There was a charisma about him that I have only seen in one other athlete: Muhammad Ali. Joe led Alabama to what should have been a come from behind victory, but future Giants coach Ray Perkins dropped what would have been the game winning touchdown pass. Ironically, my other idol as a teenager was Mickey Mantle, another athlete who had a great career that would have been so much better if he hadn’t hurt his knee. For those of you who never saw Joe play, and just look at his completion percentage or his interceptions, you have no idea. Defensive backs, such as the Raiders’ Willie Brown, were allowed to mug receivers all the way down the field. He never threw dump- offs to the backs; it just wasn’t the style of play then, except for quarterbacks like Milt Plum, who often was the top rated qb, based on the qb rating system that existed in those days. Plum was never considered even a half decent qb, and most of you probably have never heard of him. if you doubt me, there is a YouTube video of a game between the Jets and Colts when Johnny Unitas was their qb. The two qbs combined for about 900 yards of passing, with the Jets winning as a result of two 80 yard bombs to tight end Richard Caster. One last point: In those days, 80 yard td passes flew 60-65 yards in the air, unlike now when a 7 yard slant gets taken to the house. Joe Namath was the reason why I switched from being a Giants fan to a Jets fan.3 points

It is a different era. You can't compare how much a CB was paid in 2010 to what a QB will be paid in 2022. That's apples and. bananas. The issue with Revis is that he always - year after year after year - had to be the highest paid CB in the NFL. The hold out in 2010 was based solely on his demand to be paid more money than a ridiculous contract Al Davis game Asomugha. And after Revis signed the contract in 2010, he was unhappy a year or two later when he was no longer the highest paid CB in the NFL again. The present day analogy to Revis would be for Mahomes to hold out because Watson got this ridiculous contract and Mahomes wanting to be paid more because he is "better."3 points

I voted him #1, even though he had no staying power. He just tossed olineman all over the place. I just did not think of klecko as a pure nose tackle thus i did not vote him until 3rd or 4th.3 points

The Browns ROYALLY fudged this up. They should have NEVER let Mayfield go for a song. They could have told him to audition for the next team and then flip him during the season. I don't know what the Browns could have done that would have been worse than how they have handled this from day one until today. Mayfield might be an underperformer for being the first overall pick, but the guy is a competent QB.3 points

With any luck, they will trade him to the Panthers. That will be a magnificent thread.3 points
