  1. Because their future is going to be made most likely one way or another over the next six weeks. It’s one thing to have goofy little catch phrases and mantra if you back them up. It’s different when you use them and don’t live them. That game was largely decided by 1.) Terrible undisciplined penalties. 2). Communication Break Downs. 3) Half assed effort. The team has enough talent to be competitive. Hell they couldn’t have played much worse than they did today and still had at least a glimmer of hope with 8 minutes left. Maybe the mantra should be little things matter. Because they do, and your team doesn’t do them and that’s the biggest difference between the Jets and consistently good teams.

  5. Newsflash, I know. We've been sold a bill of goods. There isn't a single unit on this team that Joe Douglas has assembled, competent and talented enough to compete in this league. Thats the harsh reality.

  6. Just a massively overrated player whose play totally tanked the moment he got an extension. Dog player.

  10. Disagree. JD has improved the roster. What we are seeing is lousy coaching, preparation, and a dreadful defensive system with zero creativity. Either bring in Sean Payton or promote LaFleur to HC…

  11. It is game day, the Jets are set to take on (and beat) the Bengals. The whole world loved the Bengals before their 0 and 2 start. The whole world laughed at the Jets, but they are starting to see the talent after the amazing win over the Browns. The Jets defensive line will DOMINATE today and the defense overall will have their best performance of the young season. The offense has confidence now, they know they have multiple ways to get in the end zone and the tight ends haven't even woken up yet. Let's go Jets, 2 and 1 here we go! 15. Another week for a team that arguably should now be 0-3 and ranked near last, if not last, in the NFL power rankings. Last week’s feel good story glossed over terrible mistakes and poor execution, particularly by the defense. I, for one, have started watching the games on NFL replay, condensed. Much less distressing, and with just about 1 hr kicked, you can’t feel too bad for wasting another Sunday. Now to the positives and negatives: First the few positives, and there weren’t many: 1) Yes, we have a good receiving corps, and good to see Wilson’s toughness. We can move the ball for sure, but all that talent seems to me to be used haphazardly and without a coherent game plan. More to that on the negatives. 2) I’ll give Conklin some credit for emerging with some solid catches. Anyone else play TE on this team? A couple of two tight end sets now and then might help. While it didn’t work early week 1, the solution was not to abandon it outright. 3) Sauce had some good coverage plays, as did DJ Reed, our corners are good, they’d be even better if we had a consistent pass rush. 4) Run D has been pretty solid all season, apart from the arm tackling in the 4th quarter. A little flash by JJ, but still mostly underwhelming for the rooks so far. Now to the negatives: 1) Gameplan/coaching: No balance on offense… letting the statue just gun it all day was a recipe for disaster. Flacco’s an easy target, but he doesn’t call the plays. There was no attempt to balance the attack. And when we did run, we actually had some nice reps. Made no sense. There was no rhythm out there. That falls on LaFleur, and I like the guy. But he’s off to an ignominious start this year. 2) The offensive line: First Fant, then McDermott; they have been turnstiles this year. And the interior line has been inconsistent, even though they are a supposed to be a strength of this team. Another example of sloppy play. If Fant is out (did he get hurt?), we are in serious trouble now. 3) The vaunted d-line pass rush. Has been virtually nonexistent on the edge. Lawson clearly not yet 100% after the Achilles, the rookies are not flashing, and the result is that for most of the game when it mattered, Burrow had plenty of time. We expected a much improved defense, and what we have gotten is mediocre. 4) The safeties: Terrible all around. Lamarcus Joyner gets a reprieve this week only because Whitehead bails him out with an even worse game. Disappointing to say the least. Why not play the younger guys? The vets are not getting it done. 5) Flacco: You’ve been in the league for 15+ years, you can’t be fumbling like that. The clock has to go off and you have to get rid of it. Bottom line: The sloppiness and lack of discipline continue. THere are playmakers on both sides of the ball, but between the sloppy play and the coaching mismanagement, this team lacks rhythm and discipline. This looks like a poorly coached team. Two blow-outs at home to start the season. Saleh’s seat has to get warmer if this doesn’t improve quickly.

  16. They didn’t move the ball nearly as well when he went out. He really seems like a difference maker.

  17. Burrow has had so much trouble against 2 high safety looks this season - we deploy 1 high all game How many 50/50 9 routes to 5-foot-sh*t Elijah Moore can we throw We simply do not run the ball enough Carl Lawson vs Trey Hendrickson - we signed the wrong one Throw @ Awuzie all game who has started the year off playing great We simply did the exact opposite today of everything we should've done from a gameplan/strategy point. I just don't understand what they were thinking.

  18. How many weeks are we giving him the "he didn't have a preseason and he's been out for over a month" excuse though? Once that's over THEN the season officially starts.

  19. Why do our players always feel the need to celebrate every little play they make like they just won the damn Superbowl? We're down 2 TD's in the first half here and Quincy Williams and Mosely feel the need to go nuts after a dropped pass. FOH.

  21. I did not post all week about this game as I Knew we would get exposed. A miraculous win against Cleveland doesn’t fix this team. This team, as in many the past 10 years follows a win with a NO SHOW the following week. So glad I played golf today……

  22. 1. Good. 2. Hopefully we start "knowing what we got" right away, and hopefully it's a massive improvement from 2021. 3. If he plays, it'll be 7 weeks away for a 2-4 week injury, almost double. At some point, someone from the Jets needs to explain why. The Jets have established a reputation of untrustworthiness when it comes to injuries.

  24. Great news. Hope Flacco balls out today and so does Wilson the week after. Anyone trashing the year 2 QB before he takes a snap is a sad man.

  25. It’s nice of the Jets to put this out there at 7am on game day, just in case Flacco goes out and puts up numbers. You don’t want to give Saleh the opportunity to upset Team Wilson again in the post-game.

  28. There’s just no excitement with Flacco behind center. The season starts next week! Obviously the team has some issues on D but we have weapons on offense. If we had a quarterback with a little mobility and could extend plays, things could’ve been a little bit different. Let’s see who Zack is, if nothing else the games will be intriguing to watch.

  34. I think LaFluer is fine overall. I don’t know if Saleh is or isn’t to be quite honest, but I know Ulbrich isn’t and I get the sense that there are probably some players who think this as well. And that’s how you lose a locker room quickly. Can’t be telling guys to be accountable when the HC ain’t making his D coaches accountable.
