  1. Definitely true in his Int not true for the night as a whole,
  2. Agreed. If Zach Wilson is scared to throw deep then why start him over Mike White who can’t throw deep but is better than Wilson in the short game. However, the 3 drops that stand out were on passes of 20 yards, 30 yards and about 35 yards so maybe the vertical portion of the offense is just taking a little longer to gel. I don’t know yet. Also I’m assuming some are counting the throw to Berrios as a drop but it would’ve required a good catch from Berrios on a ball that came up short from Zach.
  3. I’d like to think you’re better than practice stats. If the drops are caught he’s over 80% completion and that’s shining but also as inconsequential as 5 YPA and whatever his actually completion percentage was. He looked good and vastly different than last year.
  4. I can buy that Zach looked underwhelming. There was a severe lack of big plays today. Personally, I liked seeing Zach do the repeatable in an effective way. Someone with less interest in that type of football might see that Zach was cautious to the point of disappointment.
  5. Also a thing that happened. After the practice they set up fire works. There was a countdown. The clock hits zero and then they lower the lights and music starts. As that happened someone runs right passed the firework launcher things. Friggin Garrett Wilson decided to run through the closed off area right before the fireworks started going off.
  6. They were really bad plays. I have to assume he got fooled bad by the pre-snap read. Those two plays were so radically different than the drives before them.
  7. So here’s my final observations (I will take questions): Zach Wilson: Last year I came away from the Green and White scrimmage worried about the QB1. This year I feel very differently. The kid showed accuracy and arm strength and quickness that lacked last year. While I’m still waiting for the return of his big play ability he is doing other things well. He had a throw in the first 11v11s where he stepped up in the pocket and side armed the ball around the pass rusher to the flat. It was very cool. Anyway I liked his performance today. Conklin: He’s good. Dynamic in small areas. TEs generally: Cager flashed with a few catches, Yeboah did the same, Uzomah is steady. It’s a good room and someone with potential is going to be cut. Ruckert is lucky he was a 3rd rounder at this point. OL: Sign Duane Brown. Good day for Max Mitchell WRs: Corey Davis isn’t in danger of getting cut but his first team reps were limited. Moore was silent. Jeff Smith is either bad or not idk anymore. Mims had some short slot catches. Wilson is fun. Irvin Charles is intriguing. Sauce Gardner: He’s a baller. If he got beat it was deep and very close to the sideline. Very popular, he feels like a star. LBs: Minimal contact so little takeaway here. Kwon played with the second team. Jermaine Johnson: Not a good day for the rookie. Got shut down by Mitchell then run at for a big gain. He failed to disengage in time a few times. I came out more skeptical about him. Pass rushers: Martin, Huff, Lawson, Zuniga were active IDL: Solomon Thomas looked good, Rankins took a knock, just please keep Q healthy. Bryce Hall: Good Day
  8. He’s playing well. The numbers really don’t matter. Will Parks just baited Mike White into what was probably a pick 6.
  9. A ridiculous laser from Wilson to Corey Davis for 20 is dropped on 2nd and 14. Out route to Uzomah for 7 brings up 3rd and 7 Zach rolls out and tries to hit Davis on a long ball but it falls incomplete too far inside. Sauce squeezed Davis who eventually got a step though. Would’ve loved some Zach Wilson magic.
  10. 2 minute drill. Good dig route to Corey Davis Then a quick comeback to Conklin Max Mitchell in at RT JJ in at left end. Quick hitter to Conklin again Chuma beat quickly for a sack by Bryce Huff bringing up 2nd and 14
  11. Yeboah looks solid. TE depth is encouraging.
  12. Pretty good. Didn’t notice any pressure from his side on that drive.
  13. 2 bad throws with the second ending up in an Int. First one late to Wilson who had a tight window open. Zach hesitated and tried to lead Wilson back towards the middle but Hall cut it off. Second he locked onto Uzomah. Looked like miscommunication as he seemed to expect Uzomah to break inside. Bad read because a retreating LBer was there.
  14. Ball hit Moore in the chest and defender couldn’t make a play on it.
  15. Big run behind Chuma and Tomlinson and Uzomah.
  16. Zach attacks Sauce who got called on a hold against Moore. Nice throws from QB1 Max Mitchell in at RT with the starters
  17. Elijah Moore with a huge drop on an insane Zach Wilson throw on a corner route.
  18. Not true but Nick Spano is consistently wrong
  19. Third string offense… sloppy but Mike White is definitely at least a backup. He actually got through reads quickly
  20. Absolutely, he was really awful last year at the scrimmage and he’s very good tonight.
  21. Cager flashing a bit tonight Ruckert with 3rd team.
  22. Offense settled for field goal A fan hit field goals from 15, 20 and 25. Which was cool
  23. Situational - ball on the defense’s 35 with the offense down 7 Wilson threw a 25 yard dart that was dropped by Smith Then Wilson to Wilson but it’s out of bounds in the end zone. And there’s a flag Wilson to Berrios for the first on 3rd and 9. A dart in a tight window . Conklin again. Throw a little behind but he adjusted and took a lick from Quincy Williams Long comeback route incomplete to Berrios. Good coverage from MC2. Probably would’ve been a sack as the blitz definitely got home. Berrios claims he caught it. He might have. OL struggled on that drive. Chuma limping a bit.
