I liked the Davis pick but it was too early (got cute) and the next 10 picks probably left a big hole in the Jets draft board and more importantly lost both Centers (either one would have solidified the OL) Selecting anyone near polite (fat gator) was probably a mistake but can't expect perfection - JD was great overall and can still add impact players like WR's DP Jones and KJ Hill - Is Moss kid still out there? Give JD credit for checking boxes for needs and the trade down and Mimms picks was amazing - A/B+

lots of talent went off the board from 69-78 - it was like a hit list of players you would have liked the Jets to draft - JD is do a great job filling needs but may have been too cute with the giants pick...

one year wonder, not a position of need or high value at #3 - wish him the best and hope is becomes a force next year but it was a horrible pick and Mac got worse after that I feel so much better this year, night and day difference

Most of us wanted and the Jets needed to draft one of the top 4 OT's - Job Done = A - I would have been happy with Wirfs too but bottom line is JD is on the board first draft I can remember where a player of need was there and the Jets made the pick (not SOJ)

Interesting insight to Joe's draft strategy - the safe pick was Thomas, the highest Ceiling is Becton might have assumed others (Wirfs) would be off the board but stuck to his pick

With the new CBA they are not missing much physical practice and many of them have a better gym (weight room) in their house then the local public gym, plus video meetings work fine (except when it's time to get some fk'n snacks)
