  1. Believe it or not, that average is pretty indicative of his best and worst year. He was basically around 3600-3900 yards every year with low 20s TDs and low to mid teens in picks. He was incredibly consistent. Usually right around 60-62% completion. I’d argue his best year was 2012 which was 60% completion. 3800 yards 22 TDs and 10 picks. He threw for 4300 yards one year, but was 20 td 15 picks that year.
  2. I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit lately. Some will say it’s a dumb comparison because Zach is much more mobile, but strictly as a passer I think there are tons of similarities between Wilson and Flacco in his prime. Huge arm, inconsistent accuracy at times. Occasional “wtf” decisions. When he gets hot, can look all world. But overall Flacco was a “good” starting QB for nearly a decade. Never great though. Flacco's average 17 game season over his 10 years as Baltimore was 3950 yards 22 TDs and 14 Ints. He was pretty consistently that type of state line for a decade. Is that successful in your mind?
  3. I’m officially on the Clemons train. In a few years, he’s going to be one those guys that other fans look up and wonder how the Jets got him in the 4th round.
  4. Finally getting to watch. The missed throw to G Wilson on first attempt of game actually irks me more than the Int. The throw to Wilson puts us behind the chains and third and long. He’s gotta make that throw.
  5. Well it’s been a while since we’ve had a season where we can just sit back and watch football and not worry/argue about if our QB is “going to be the guy” so that will be somewhat a welcome change.
  6. I’m not kidding, I may have to take a break from here. Sports are supposed to be fun, the Jets just constantly deflate me.
  7. I’m going to point out that whenever Zach tries to throw to Corey Davis, bad things seem to happen. That’s not to say it’s Davis’ fault. I would love to see his stat line targeting Davis. It cannot be pretty.
  8. I can’t watch until the replay airs, but Quincy Williams is cementing himself as one of my least favorite players. Vastly overrated because he lays big hits but overall just isn’t good, then bonehead plays like that.
  9. Well I feel better now. That’s all that really matters.
  10. Is it safe for me to come back yet? I want to remain optimistic but this one stings. Been avoiding the board for the most part the last 24 hours.
  11. Well, get Duane Brown in tomorrow or hit the trade market. Or time for Max Mitchell to shock everyone except T0mShane
  12. There’s a longer clip out there where this whole sequence starts with White purposely letting a ball hit his chest plate first then catching the ricochet. He’s calling for round 2 and Zach ups the trick shot magic.
  13. One of the bigger “learning” items(imo) from Zach last year that was a big contributor to the fewer turnovers was using his legs to get yards instead of for living throws. That seems to be continuing and encouraging.
  14. Nania from another site made a good point too regarding this. The “100” yards includes almost no YAC because the players generally aren’t being tackled. A few of those plays had potential for quite a few extra yards.
  15. I will say this. Maury doesn’t need me sticking up for him, but he knows his stuff. Just because he sees a play differently doesn’t mean he’s a hater or wrong.
  16. I see you already got a million responses so I won’t pile on, but that’s not what I see on this one.
  17. Here’s the Davis drop. Yeah that’s a bad drop.
  18. This guy is what I imagine most of you are like in real life. New Yorkers that is. And it is great. If this board had a son who ended up getting drafted by the Jets, this is exactly what I’d expect them to be.
  19. Corey Davis drops were a problem last year and so far early in TC seem to be a cause for concern. He needs to clean those up or he’s going to lose snaps either to Mims or get squeezed out in favor of heavier TE packages.
