  1. Forte hasn't practiced basically all year and probably won't play next week. It's a preseason game that means nothing, they are just trying to get Forte the work he needs to get ready.
  2. I will say this about the Hack pick though, that is High School, "get rhythym" play calling right there. Play action, go route clear to the flat. That is predicable. Hack makes it even worse by staring down the safety valve flat route. That's terrible on numerous levels.
  3. Well, I am starting to think the only reason Hack is playing is to show people how bad he is, so it's no longer a discussion.
  4. So my feed seems to be about 5 minutes behind. Just saw the safety. Shell drops head and whiffs. OL is worst unit on this team.
  5. Having torn mine twice, that sure looks like a torn ACL. Hard plant. Leg fully locked out. Knee caves. I'll be very surprised if it's not.
  6. Kizer did look pretty good. Osweilers YPC drag the overall numbers down. As a group, just over 7 YPC, yuck.
  7. I'm not sure if your "LOL" is in regard to your impressive comment(meaning you were saying it in jest), or laughing that the Jets will be much worse. The Jets may not produce a better stat line than that, but 22/29 for 157 yards and pick is not impressive. That is quite terrible.
  8. Over the past decade, in terms of W/L record, its more like 1/3 of the league is worse than, not 5 or 6 teams. To answer your question, it doesn't mean anything, really, other than just that. Simply an observation. I think fanbases sometimes overstate how dire their situatiation is. I'm not implying the Jets situation is looking rosey, but it's also has not been downright terrible.
  9. The Jets are in for a rough year, no doubt, but over the past decade, there are much worse franchise than the Jets.
  10. Yep, it is. It's about finding a good CEO, who can hire good staffs. They haven't done that very well, but it has nothing to do with which side of the ball they come from.
  11. Agree with others that don't really care about McCown not getting reps, but it just is very odd.
  12. I have no idea what to make of this practice. Im fairly positive this is Bowles last training camp, though.
  13. Looks like Rapsheet already beat me to it. I would be way more pissed if we made the trade, considering how how the 2nd RD pick likely will be.
  14. I still don't think you have any idea what you are talking about, based on your "breakdown" above. You say the QB didn't set the protection, but somehow the OL knew the right protection, and a DE went unblocked. You say the free blitzer went unblocked, but it was a Down Lineman who went unblocked. The Blitzer is the LB in the A gap. So the protection called by whoever(either the C or QB) got the 5 OL to the right spot to pick up that pressure, but somehow that got missed going to the RB? You also say the RB was running a route, so that proves it was on Hackenberg. That proves nothing. It actually indicates Powell at least missed his route adjustment as the hot route, because he is not looking for the ball to come. So Powell not only doesn't know if he should block the DE, he also doesn't realize he might be the hot route if that DE is really schematically left unblocked? That doesn't lead you to believe he may have been the one to forget what is going on? But, due to the fact the outside receiver is running a 3 yard hitch, and the weak side G and T are pinching to help with the A gap pressure, it sure looks as though Powell was likely suppose to chip that DE and the ball was going to the hitch. So the fact of the matter is, while some blamed Shell, which probably is incorrect, you instantly blamed Hackenberg, which was as equally baseless. You may be right, it may be the QB there, but Powell is the most likely culprit as to "who screwed up" based on all the evidence. And just for the record, I'm am not a Hack supporter by any stretch of the imagination. But I'm not going to blame him for every thing that goes wrong on a given play just because I don't think he's good.
  15. So when dozens of other teams tell their players to not talk to the press about internal matters, it's good culture. When the Jets do it, the circus is back in town. There is rightfully lots of stuff to be agitated about with this current team. This isn't one of them.
  16. Hmmm. Seems like you must be pushing some agenda, otherwise there would be no reason to make that up. He had pressure on maybe 4 plays. 2 of those were simple step ups from a DE getting pushed passed him. He has ALL DAY to throw on most of these. Starts dancing in the face of nothing on most of them too. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VAha2FizYFs
  17. The focus is on the abysmal QB play, but I'm much more concerned by the OL play. That was about as bad as I've seen. Hackenberg was awful, no disputing that, but Aaron Rodgers wouldn't have done much with that line play. That's not an excuse, it's just a reality.
  18. I don't know if you are troll or really believe this, but wow.
  19. Is the "through the catch" stuff not a rule anymore? Jones clearly bobbled when he hit the ground. I can't keep the catch rules strait anymore
  20. No, it isn't. You have zero idea what you are talking about. Zero. I'm new here, but it's clear you aren't one of the X and O guys to turn to. Do you realize how many QBs in the NFL are the guys setting protections for 1? Not a lot.
