Yeah, good win. Six-game home losing streak is over, thank God. Another solid outing for Lundqvist. Seems like the team was playing with some fire and spending a lot of time in the Montreal zone. What do you have to do to get a penalty call, though? Damn.
-
Basically a must-win game tonight. Lose this and they're down 3-1 as opposed to tying it up. Got to stop playing like sh*t at home, though.
-
What a limp effort by the Rangers at home. Too many turnovers, no power play goals (again) and our speed has been negated by half-assed puck play. Lundqvist can only do so much before the responsibility is on the front three to quit sloppydicking around and take control of the game. That lost lead in Game 2 is already biting us in the ass. F*cking Eastern Conference.

Did anyone ever see that documentary on the failed Nicholas Cage / Tim Burton version of Superman? It's pretty fascinating if you're into movies or superheroes. The thing actually came close to seeing the light of day.
-
Cage was amazing in Leaving Las Vegas, which is one of my all-time favorite movies. He also has a few other good ones on his resume like The Weather Man and Adaptation. That said, he is kind of a weirdo.

F*cking bullsh*t.

I know you're supposed to be happy if you can win one game in the playoffs during the first two on the road, but NY really needs to take this one. Home ice doesn't seem to matter much to this team.
-
Wow great game. Nice result after looking like sh*t early in the first period. Lundqvist was great, and Zuccarello seemed to be in on everything.

Wheee I love playoff hockey. Got my beers ready and my ass firmly planted on the couch.

I think the problem with FIFA is that they include so many soccer teams and leagues but there isn't a whole lot to do with them. It's pretty lacking in content. -
No, I'd never heard of him--probably because I grew up in the Midwest. Looks like he's primarily an east coast guy.

BWAHAHAHAHA this dude is awesome. How have I never heard this before?!

Aw, that sucks. I thought that beautiful bastard would live forever. Really loved him in Casino and Toy Story. RIP, Mr. Potato Head.

My two cents, for what it's worth: I like the harmonica parts, and they fit well with the song, but the solos get a little pitchy in spots. You might try reworking the harmonica solos so there's a little less movement in them--might match up to the guitar a little better. It could be my ears--long since fried and racked with tinnitus from years of playing in obscenely loud and untalented bands--but I had trouble making out some of the lyrics in spots. I like your vocal style, but a little more annunciation might help. For me, the hook is the most important part of a song. That's what gets people humming along and gets the melody stuck in their heads. You have a solid hook going here, so I would accentuate it a little more so the choruses stand out from the verses. Maybe add a second guitar or some light strings, or possibly some percussion or harmony vocals in those spots. Make that chorus pop. I can't comment much on the mix; I'm listening on crappy laptop speakers. Once I eventually get off my ass today I may grab my headphones and give it another listen. Overall, I think you've got a good song here with a little polish. Keep it up.

Seems like the Caps spent the entire game tonight in the Rangers' zone. NY just looked really flat and couldn't get an separation for quality shots. That said, I don't think they were trying too hard with the postseason looming. Oh, well. It's playoff time. Looks like we're going to get the Canadiens, which is probably the most promising matchup the Rangers could have gotten. They're just not ready to hang with the top teams in the Metro right now.

Welcome to the Xbox One family; I think most of the other guys here have PlayStations, so we're in an exclusive club. As far as games, there are plenty to pick from but it depends on what you like. Forza Horizon 3 is good if you like racing games, Gears of War 4 if you like shooters. Rocket League is fun (it's basically soccer with cars) but you can only play it online with other people. Then there's Fallout 4, Dishonored 2, The Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Star Wars Battlefront, Batman: Arkham Knight and probably some others I can't remember or haven't played. As far as sports games go, there is of course Madden for football and FIFA for soccer, and the NHL and NBA games are fun too. The only suck thing is that the best MLB game (The Show) is PlayStation-only, so we get stuck with RBI Baseball, which isn't that great a game unless you're hard up for baseball. You might also try flipping through the video games thread and check out some of the videos in there to see what else you might like. Anyway, hope that helps. My screen name is Bombdirt on there as well but I don't play online much at all. Enjoy.

My favorites are the foreign commercials that American actors thought no one over here would ever see.

Breath of the Wild looks and sounds awesome, and I'm not really even a Zelda fan. If I had any disposable income I'd buy a Switch just for that game. -
Cheesy 80s stuff but still good memories.

Chuck Berry, The Great Rock & Roll Legend Has Died

I heard my first Chuck Berry song in "Back to the Future" when I was a kid. Been a fan of his stuff ever since. Amazing guitar player. RIP. -
