  1. what a year what a series - not since 1993, which was magic, have the Rangers played such inspiring games. I was a Ranger fan first before any sport. Odd because I was a ghetto kid growing up on the streets of NY. The Rangers have always held a special place in my heart. I remember watching games back in 1963 on the black n white tv. Seiling, Hadfield, Gilbert, Ratelle, and on and on...... I waited a long long long long long time for the Rangers to win it all. So close but so far so many times. Just heartbreaking. That's what made 1993-94 so very very special. and 20 years later we are back! Now time for the Pièce de résistance!
  2. ok get rid of Powell's contract - that's smart - but we have enough depth at cb. I would just use Powell as a chip in a trade and get a quality veteran cb to start along side Milliner. Do what you have to make it happen - sweeten the deal.
  3. Looking at this shows how weak our WR corps is. Besides Decker, who is more of a possession receiver, we have not upgraded the WR position whatsoever. Really disappointing.
  4. Yes Johnson would be huge. NFL Network discussed a trade scenario where Jets can afford Johnson's salary..... trade Hill and a couple draft picks say next year's 3rd and 5th rounders for Johnson. Where's the phone?
  5. Why on earth would anyone want to trade a vet CB for a 4th round RB like Powell that has a limited skill set? You'd have to sweeten the deal and just curios as to who you have in mind.

    Now that's funny! Wanna bet?
  8. My bad. I meant Crimes and Misdeameanors
  9. this guy SUCKS. PERIOD. 1/2 half of the draft a B+ 2nd half a D...half these guys aren't even making this team. He should have used all those picks and moved up. Doesn't even pick up a decent project QB. Savage, Murray, McCarron could all have been had. Even Garrapolo, Bridgewater, Carr or Manziel could have been scooped up. With a little wheelin and dealin this could have been a draft to remember......
  10. Ordinary People...best Woody film ever.

Yes we have weapons now. Eugene can see from the bench how a real QB uses them.
  12. Amaro.....ridiculous that ASJ went before him. We lucked out he was there and I'll give Idzik credit on that pick. And Enunwa looks like a beast. The arms on this kid are Calvin Johnsonesque. And I love the Dozier pick...move over Winters.

Right now I am furious with Idzik. He promised to create competition at the QB position and he drafts a QB that really has terrible mechanics. Even though Vick is on board, he is not the future and is fragile. There were so many good qb's available and Idzik did nothing. Drafting a QB in the higher rounds would have been a testament that he made a mistake in drafting Eugene. He is saving face by drafting one so late and mechanically flawed like Boyd. Its clearly evident Eugene will be given the same luxury Sanchez had. You would think Idzik would have learned from Tanny's mistake of sticking with Sanchez when is was obvious he was over his head. If Eugene remains the starter, it will be a replay of the Sanchez years....great defense, lousy offense, playoffs sprinkled in between and falling short.

Idzik drafted Eugene. Idzik is Morhninweg's boss. Morhninweg likes his job.

They are going ape sh*t at Taj Boyd's house right now. Its like he was picked #1 in the entire draft. I think they know he has a really really really really good chance to be the future QB of The New York Jets. After all, Eugene is not in his class. Boyd isn't the smoothest QB but has interesting intangibles. I think damn near 75% of the available QB's in this draft would beat Eugene out easily. I hereby declare Idzik and an idiot for picking Eugene in round 2 last year. There was no need to grab an overrated QB last year when this years lot was so deep. Manziel was there for the taking and Idzik let him slip right through our fingers. Could have traded Eugene for a 2019 7th round pick and taken Johnnie or Jimmy. In fact I think Belicheat took Jimmy just to keep him away from us. Regardless, Boyd will unseat Eugene sooner rather than later.
  16. Good point Larz. Definitely a need based draft. Actually I am ok with Pryor, Amaro, McNugget, and Dozier. The others not really thrilled with. Too many reaches. So many other players, especially WR's, who were available and were rated higher.
  17. Villan he isn't a great tackler. In fact the knock on him is he plays bigger than he is. That's how he injured his shoulder. Gotta love his recklessness but it has backfired. He thinks he's in the mold of a Calvin Pryor and he's a smurf. I just see Stallworth making an over the shoulder catch on Rod Perry in the SB . Scouting report on him states he doesn't wrap up and wr's shed his tackles. That can be fixed. But WR's are now tall strong and bigger than ever. 5'10 just seems to short for a corner in today's NFL. He's here ...lets hope for the best. I did some researching and here are some comments from people who are familiar with this kid....... -I am a HUGE MARYLAND FAN, HE IS JOE HADEN PART 2. -Seen this kid play and I must say if he stays healthy and that is a big if Well he is not Revis but Milliner would for sure have to retract his statement as being the best CB on the J-E-T-S. -This guy was on track to be a top pick (second rounder) before the season ending injury; he put on an impressive show at the invite.
  18. Yea I hear you. Loud and clear. However, that 3 year window is not set in stone. And please don't mention that moron Bradway. How he is even still affiliated with the Jets is beyond me. I see this pick as a replacement for Kyle Wilson who is making big bucks and is the last year of his contract. He is a goner after this year. Idzik will continue to clean house and rid himself of many high payroll contracts like Harris and Wilson ASAP.
  19. Now you're a behavioral therapist? I thought you were in special ed.
  20. easy - you'll be castigated by al the Idzik lovers
  21. Savage or Murray Desir or Roberson Dozier or Yankey Aberderraias or Bryant
  22. I will forgive Idzik if he drafts Desir, trades Kyle Wilson or cuts his bum azz and moves McNugget to the nickel spot.
  23. Good points. Especially since they just signed Vick and Johnson so protection and running the ball are paramount. Winters was just awful. He was abused like a step child. Total bust. He needs to be replaced and quick. Jackson would have been a huge upgrade. In fact, our whole OL is gonna be sh*t in 2 years and collecting social security.
  24. Fine ok already.I get it. He talented, has potential etc etc etc. All I'm saying is, and its the general consensus among ALL draft gurus, is that he's a reach for a 3rd rounder due to his injury and missing 3/4 of his season and would have been available in the later rounds.
