How have the last 8 years gone?  I think we have every reason to complain.  Complaining at least means we care.  That's more than this franchise deserves.

Who cares about other franchises?  This isn't Cleveland or Buffalo.  This is New York.  Win or GTFO.

When u (OP n others) say we have the worst GM, of course you have to see how other franchises are doing. It’s all relavant. No one complained in 2008-2010. Oh yeah cuz we were winning n the owner was spending every penny he could  can’t blame the owner if three of his GMs can’t find a QB.

  2. Jets have had some really good years under Woody. Yet, we b*tch about the owner. Try being a Brown fan. Or a Bills fan post SB losses. Or even a freakin Cowboys fan that have won 1 playoff game in like 20 years after having a PB QB play most of those years. Woody isn’t nearly as bad as the worst owner but we definitely have the worst fan base.

we all know that Bell is the best available offensive free agent. But Antonio Brown might be shooting his way out of Pittsburgh as well. He was benched in week 17 - in a game the Steelers had to win to have any shot at the playoffs - for getting into a fight with Roethlisberger a week after skipping a mandatory meeting that he just felt like not going to.  https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/steelers/2018/12/31/antonio-brown-dispute-steelers-news-nfl/stories/201812310108

The Steelers seem like they are shifting their offense to focus on Juju and have Roethlisberger, Pouncey, Hayden, and Dupree all heading into the last year of their contract in 2019. If it took this year's third round pick and next year's second round pick to get brown from the Steelers, do you make that deal? What if it cost more? What's the most you would pay?

because adding Bell and brown to this offense immediately makes the Jets a Superbowl worthy offensive team

Dude, I had to unbold the post and then rebold the bolded sentence above. Why would you bold your entire post? Smh.

Having said that, reading the bolded part, he will fit right in to the NY locker room. Might as well bring back Geno. Then Geno, AB, Kearse and TruJ can become best buddies and play a game of soggy bread every night.

A safety can’t win you games. A team does, that’s his point. And he plays hard every game.

If we spent a top 6 pick on a safety that can’t win games, and it was a BPA at the time, maybe it’s the safety that’s not living up to his hype. Safeties do win games.

  5. @Patriot Killa game time. Let’s post up starting lineups

QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, TE, Flex, Kicker, D

1 point per 25 yards passing, 2 points at 200 yards, 2 points at 300, 2 points at 400, 2 points at 500 yards. 6 points TDs. Negative 2 on Ints, negative 1 at sacks

rushing and receiving: 1 point at every 10 yards, 2 bonus points at 100, 2 bonus at 200. 6 point TD, 0.5 PPR.

Kicking: 2 points for PAT, negative 1 for missed PAT. 3 points for FGs upto 39 yards, 4 points from 40-49 yard and 5 points for FG 50+

Defense: yahoo standard. Not sure what they are.

Seems like a bargain if he we can keep him healthy

Absolutely! His 1600 yards in 39 games (avg of 656 yards if he ever plays another 16 game season) is a major bargain at 9mil per.

These are guys he has brought in that in my opinion can help make us a playoff team. Factor in this years draft pick in the top 5 and all the cap space we have accumulated and I think its safe to say with a competent coaching staff we can make the playoffs in 2019 with a Jim Harbaugh, Mike McCarthy etc. Macc has done more than enough to improve this roster. Lets not forget everyone has misses in the draft every year too not just us. 🙄

All that and three straight 5-11 or worse seasons. Yeah, we are a playoff team!

No need to paste the whole article, but the premise is that Stephen Ross is considering firing careerist cockroach Mike Tannenbaum and Adam Gase, but leaving the actual GM in place. Tannenbaum, as you’ll recall, really has no talents other than knifing his way up the corporate ladders of NFL teams. Gase is gonna get screwed here, though.

He’s at the top of the list for the best Jets GM of the century. I know it’s still 2018 but best GM in 18 years here. Let it sink in. I’d take him back in a heartbeat over our talent evaluator MAC that has been drafting busts after busts unless it’s a top 6 pick.

I was a big Kearse fan and saw him as key depth or a good #3 after last season. I really want to believe that this is all because of Bates but I’ve seen so many plays that he flat out quit on. At least half of the issue is solely on him and even if the offensive system is trash, you have a young rookie QB looking to lean on people and learn. You don’t give up and put him in bad spots.

I’m REALLY disappointed with Kearse and torn because we could probably resign him for cheap after this bomb of a year and hopefully he can rebound. I’m not so sure that he can though after what we saw this year.

    Kearse can gfh.

  10. Why is there so much hate for Crowell? I thought he played well here, given that he was timesharing and we really had no passing game. Averaged 4.8 YPC. I’ll take that however it comes, any day of the week for the $4mil per yr we paid to Crow.

No QBs and tons of options on defense.

How many years are this heavy on defense with a couple QBs the year after 5 QBs are taken in the first round and a top starter was signed as a free agent?

None of the top 4 teams in this mock can pretend they are taking a qb and nobody is trading ahead of Jacksonville for fear of losing out on Herbert or whoever

I’m guessing you think trade ups are done solely for a QB? All you need is a team to fall in love with a guy. Happens every year.
