Call me crazy, but I think Leo cud be a pretty good situational pass rusher in a 4-3 defense. Nevertheless he has zero trade value right now unless its an exchange for another overpaid and underperforming player

Ya kno, now that I think about it, there are some similarities when comparing Rich "Klueless" Kotite and Adam Gase. I wonder what Bob Page would say about Adam Gase.

The 96 team didn’t a have a prospect on Darnold’s level, but I understand the comparison.
That team had a lot of talent - as far as prospects: Keyshawn Johnson, Wayne Chrebet, Richie Anderson, Marcus Coleman, Aaron Glenn, Ray Mickens, Mo Lewis, Marvin Jones and Hugh Douglas. Adrian Murrell ran for over 1,000 yards. To say the 1996 team was more talented than 2019 would not be an exaggeration...they just had horrific coaching. Dont forget - one year later - Parcells was one dumb call away from a 10-6 record and a playoff birth with virtually the same roster.

Bills are a playoff lock, boys. Top flight defense, an emerging star QB who’s better than Darnold, and a good head coach. Maybe next season for you Jets!!! Hahaha 3-0!!!!!!
You may change your tune after the Pats make Allen look worse than Luke Falk next week.

The OL is somehow worse this year.
Winters, Kahlil and Osemele have been as bad as we have seen - all three shud hit the bench. Beachum and Shell are the same consistent mediocrity we saw last year.

I am developing a fear that our offense is too complicated and involves too many in-action reads by the WRs - kinda like Joe Walton's offense. Such an offense requires intelligent WRs and an Intelligent QB as well as all being on the same page when making the reads. I feel like (and this applies to week 1 with Sam) the QB is dropping back and has no idea what patterns are being run because nobody is in sync.

Seriously? I know you've been at/watched the first 3 games. We're gonna have a top 3 pick.
Add Darnold, Herndon, Thomas, Mosley and Copeland - we will win a min 5 to as many as 7 games which would put us between 10 and 16 in the draft.

Would note the Browns last night fielded a secondary of bubble gum and duct tape and managed to keep a good Rams passing attack mostly in check. As a fantasy owner of Todd Gurley I can so attest. And yet again insane Jets fans are advocating giving up resources for MORE DBs. Are you f___ing insane?
Their pass rush was a major factor in hushing the Rams attack. If we had a shutdown corner it would allow us to blitz more and create pressure. Having said that I doubt the Jags or anyone else for that matter would give a significant return for a sleepy Leo Williams. I'd say Williams value is now at about a 5th round pick. Trading Williams and a #1 for Ramsey would be a steal, unless we end up with a top ten pick. I still say the best option for the Jets is to tank - sit Darnold for the rest of the season and get the overall #1 which would be worth at a minimum two #1s and two #2's, and that's how you rebuild folks.

Please, Enunwa is one of the most overrated jet players of the last 5 years.
This team is healthy enough to not stink out he joint.
Good coaches do things to at least look good losing.
The offense looks worse than the gailey, morton and bates offenses all of those with terrible o talent as well.
This guy is supposed to be a good offensive coach. Is he yet another one of these guys that will be good if you are 100% healthy and have he team stocked with pro bowlers?
Yes Enuwa is overrated but having him in allowed Crowder to be in the slot - where he belongs. The perpetual throwing short of the sticks (actually reminds me of Bruce Coslet) is inexcusable and a show of zero confidence in the OL and the QB.

I loved Mark Gastineau back in the day, but Ill never forgive him for quitting in the middle of a season, not to mention nowadays all of his off the field issues would have gotten him kicked out of the league anyway.

Contra Case
Fans are giving 14 a pass because we can't consider the possibility he's not worth the Jerseys we all bought.
Sam Darnold is a USC QB and has been living a college style lifestyle, finding the sweatiest 19 year olds to make out with at bridge and tunnel bars near Penn Station
Remind you of anyone? He's a hot dog and a headband away from Sanchito.
USC QB's motto should be "Hey, I'm only here for the Puss."
At least Joe Willy had the decency to disinfect his mouth properly with whiskey.
also he's never available. 2 years he's missed time. it's like all the selfishness of Sanchez with the durability of Chadwick
nice guy im sure. maybe next time they can draft someone who's seen snow before
WTF?

My brain tells me the Pats will shut Bell down (he will be held to under 40 yds rushing), sack Falk at least 5 times and pick him off twice, on D the jets will play bend but dont break so I expect several 12-14 play drives that will hold the scoring down a bit and the Pats will win by a final score of 34-0.
My heart tells me the Jets will put up an epic fight and keep the game relatively close - in other words I took the Jets and the points because in my heart I cant bear to think otherwise.

Not sure what year I traded passion & hope for cautious numbness but been a fan since 68 and travel to US for at least 1 game per year........got jets/dolphin tickets nov 3rd lol.
I will remain numb until the Johnsons sell the franchise.
3 things that will never happen: The Johnson's selling the Jets, The Wilpon's selling the Mets and Jim Dolan selling the Knicks. Why you ask? Because all three owners are spoiled brats who have no desire to do anything but spend obscene amounts money on themselves, which is sustainable as long as they have endless amounts of cash flowing in from their sports franchises.

Just like during the Bowles error, Williams is out there for every defensive snap. Maybe fatigue plays a part in his ineffectiveness? On the other hand - his physique looks like he doesn't spend enough time in the weight room.

By the time the trade deadline (Oct 29), we will at best, be 2-6. Hopefully Joe Douglas has a brain and trades Le'Veon Bell and Robby Anderson. We shud get a 2 and a 5 for Bell and a 4 for Robby. I dont think anyone else on the team is worth much of anything, and you keep Mosely and Adams as defensive leaders. My guess is with an easier final 8 we end up 6-10 or just on the fringe of the range of elite players coming out. At least we would have a 1, two 2s, a 3 and two 4's and hopefully come away with 4 impact players- assuming Douglas is not another fraud.

Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile appI miss Bowles.....................JK, but this is going to get embarrassing. our OL may be the worst we've had in years and we do not have 1 starting (or backup) caliber CB.

This is why drafting Saquon at the start of a rebuild was awfully stupid. By the time the Giants have this figured out Barkley will be in year 4 and demanding a monster contract that teams now realize are not a smart move.
If the Giants fall completely out of the playoff hunt the Giants would be wise to sit Barkley the last few games of the year.
They should trade Barkley for a haul, if anyone is willing to give up a haul for a RB.

LOL, we wish. He's just as bad a route-runner but with worse ball skills.
