That’s not what I said... No way should Gase be in charge.  No way Neil f’ckn Glat should be in charge.  They need a football guy running it from the top. The coach and the GM should be reportijng to a football guy.  That’s the arrangement that Parcells had, even after he stepped down from coaching.  Mr. T was GM, and Groh became coach when Belli didn’t want it.

I rather have Gase as GM than Mac.

Nope Parcells was GM and Head Coach he quit coaching but had one year left on his contract so he stayed on as GM for one year and after Beli didnt want to work for Woody he hired Groh.  When his contract was up he pushed Groh to take the Virginia coaching job and recommended Terry Bradway for GM and Mo Carthon for HC, Bradway chose his buddy Herman Edwards instead.

Neil Glatt should be a COO, he knows the business side of football from working for the NFL Corporate Development office for 15 years and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business - he knows nothing about field personnel.

I rather compare the Gase situation to Joe Walton's arrangement - years of bad drafting and lousy coaching, but I think Gase is smarter and crazier than Walton - maybe like drunken psycho Walt Michaels - who should never been fired.

Didnt Gase have some GM control over the Dolphins, and he had zero ability to establish a viable relationship with players at all? Players were getting let go for stupidity, and bonafide stars like Kenyon Drake make statements like "If Gase comes back I want to be traded".

And you're telling us to relax????

F'ing circus!  The Johnson's did this completely wrong. I love the firing of Macc, but it should have been done on the same day as Bowles, so there would be NO NEED for an interim GM.

    Insane.

Ummm, do you want a coach all the players love - like Bowles or Edwards?   Or a complete a$$hole who gets the players angry like Gase and Williams.  I rather have players playing angry than one blowing kisses to their head coach.

The Dolphins were terrible under Gase - this is the last thing this team needs.

IDK about terrible, if anything they over-achieved.  The one season he had a healthy QB they went to the playoffs and only lost because Matt Moore stinks.  I think the Dolphins under Gase always played hard and often gave the Pats fits.  We haven't had a coach who had a pulse since Rex was canned, now we have two Gase and Williams who are equally insane enough to get along with each other.   Lets stop complaining and give these guys a chance - you dont get a third chance in the NFL so if Gase doesnt win here he's done, With two nut jobs running the show I believe we will see a fired up team that plays like their lives depend on it.   I stand by my 11-5 prediction and wish Mac luck as a scout in the XFL.

NY Jets draft pick's hilarious interview moment goes viral

An interview with New York Jets draft pick Quinnen Williams, 21, has gone viral – and it’s not anything to sneeze at.

The interior lineman was doing an interview with NFL Network when he sneezed, blessed himself and then immediately thanked himself for blessing himself in the hilarious clip.

The Checkdown’s Twitter clip had 1.46 million views by Wednesday evening and had commenters saying Williams is more than just a good draft pick.

“He was raised with manners! Maybe to an extreme but better than none at all,” one viewer commented. “This is so pure,” another wrote. One commenter had a theory that Williams wasn’t, in fact, thanking himself: “I also think the reporter said bless you too,” he conjectured.

Williams, from the University of Alabama, was a first round, third overall pick by the Jets. Although the team said they didn’t need defenders Williams was considered by many to be the best overall pick so they said they couldn’t pass him up, For the Win reported. In the 2018 season, Williams had a total of 71 tackles, according to The Jet Press.

So one draft pick is bi-polar and another has multiple personality disorder - they should fit in well with Gase and Williams.

You do realize the Browns defense was terrible last year?

Who did they have other than Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward...my point is they were worse without Ward.  You still need NFL caliber players no matter who your DC is.  Williams has talent to work with on the Jets.

Hopefully one of them will step up or a Vet is acquired before the season starts. This is going to be a problem all season if the Jet's can't generate a pass rush. Can you imagine what it will be like if an opposing QB has all day to throw? Even Fitzpatrick could pick apart a secondary if he has time to throw. Imagine what a good QB will do to them. It's already looking like a top 5 draft pick for 2020. Hopefully Macc isn't around to screw that up.

Dude, the Jets D will be like Rex Ryan's first year but even better.  We will play bump and run, stop the run, and put sick pressure on the QB via a variety of creative blitz packages.  Greg Williams had NO secondary in Cleveland until they drafted Denzel Ward last year - even with just one impact DB you saw the difference.  I feel like the Jets have more talent on D  this year than Rex ever had, Revis included.  We have intense vocal leaders in Mosely and Adams.  Rex's leader was Bart Scott who was on the decline and not nearly as good without Ray Lewis next to him.  If all falls into place - this season could be a whole lot of fun for us.

Why wouldn’t gase want bell here?  He’s way better than the rbs they have.  I don’t believe this at all.

Gase runs a tight ship, demands a lot from his players and does not tolerate insubordination - see Jay Ajayi and Jarvis Landry.

Didn't he use Demariyus Thomas a bunch in Denver?

Denver may not be the best example of what Gase likes to do as it was really Payton Mannings system in Denver.   Look at Chicago and Miami for a better example.

Sorry to disappoint, but That is Gase's offense...Q will have a big role, as will Crowder. And Robby over the top.

Yeah I dont think a lot of people realize that most of the time we will be in 2 and 3 TE sets and most of the passes will be bubble screens and quick slants.  Bell and Crowder will prolly be 1 and 2 in receptions this year.

We gave Rex and Bowles 4 years and canned him after what, two?

Mangina had three years, he didnt deserve to get fired, they were having an epic season until Farve and Jenkins got injured.  Who wud have known the Chad wud go on to having his best season that year.

Stephen Hill: 5 catches for 89 yards receiving and two tds in his 1st game ever.

Who knew that his projection of 1424 yards, 80 catches and 32 tds would not come true??

Coples 3.5 sacks in his last 4 games of his rookie year.

Even the dreaded Dee Milliner was rookie of the week near the end of his 1st year.

If we are looking at dogs you have to look at Gholston and Hackenburg.

Not for nothing, but I thought Stephen Hill looked pretty good until the time Sanchez air mailed a pass to him and Polamalu laid hm out.

Nike nailed it. They remembered the past, yet it's a bold new design for a new era of Jets football. These new Jets helmets are tinted in a way they appear to change colors when paired with the spotlight white, Gotham green, or stealth black tops. With the spotlight white jerseys the helmets almost appear candy apple green, then combined with the stealth black jerseys the helmets appears to show more of a black accent.

Sounds like a line from the Movie: The Devil Wears Prada
