Take a look at what Gase's system did without Darnold in there.

Sam was the only one on offense that was stepping up last year.

Please let’s take into account that if it wasn’t for the heated sidelines debate between the fraud and Sam and the “fired banner in the sky” he would had probably fielded the worst offense in the history of modern football. After  those incidents we saw Sam doing the exact same thing we was him doing during the last 6 games of the 2018 season when Bates was the OC.

Last year was a total waste.  The fraud came in here with my way or the highway attitude, nothing in between and by the time he went along with what made Sam confortable it was too late.

So is you down voting everyone out of spite.

Jets723 is the biggest homer in every Jets forum that I ever seen.  He along with others here will vote down your post but this kid jets723 is into another level.  He really take it personal when you question a move by the Jets.

before I let it go and allowed these homers to vote down my posts without a repercussions,  now I do what they do, when I don’t agree with their posts I vote them down too.

The guy wasn’t even on the radar when the season started at beast he was going to be a third round.  He had a great combine and showed his beast mode and we all know throughout the years that count the most with the Jets.  I have to think that since we draft combine beast for the most part in the first round, one of this day the Jets will get lucky, hopefully this time will be the year.  Also smoking weed is no longer a character issue with the Jets, very interesting.

Becton and Pittman would be far better than any OT available at 48 plus Jeudy or Lamb.  I don't even think it's close.  We'll know more when the pick comes around, but if we get PIttman, I will be doing backflips of joy.

Lmao.  No offense, typical  Jets fan, I remember when most here made our last GM a winner every single time after the draft.

Because you like the combine beast we usually take in the first (the only difference from years past is that this projected 2nd 3rd round at the beginning of the year is not a can’t miss) you don’t have to put those two probably generational WR down.

No, Myles made an aggressive football play shoving/pulling Mason to the ground, which is what he gets paid to do. What you're trying to do is excuse the fact that Mason decided to take it out of the realm of football, and got more than he expected.

Remember when he got hit with the helmet and he put his hands up and looked at the ref? Well, if he felt like Myles take down was illegal or atleast worthy of a flag, then he could have done that exact same thing at that moment. He didnt have to pull at Myles helmet and try to rip it off.

This was my problem with this conversation initially. Folks CLEARLY want Myles to take responsibility for what he did, which he should, yet folks are providing excuse after excuse after excuse for what Mason did to initiate that situation.

If Myles took him to the floor, and Mason put his hands up and looked at the refs and then Myles got pissed at him for trying to force a flag and THEN ripped off his helmet then you would have a point. Myles made a football play, it doesnt matter how it's spun.

There have to be a reason why you are so passionate defending this scumbag after what he did even blaming the guy that got his with the weapon like he deserve it.  And this after he bring the race free access pass card with no evidence.  That definitely regardless of evidence will get some people on his side even what he did was in plain view wrong.

Are we allowed to cast a vote for Woody and his brother? They are responsible for hiring both of the under qualified, and poorly prepared general managers.  Somehow Woody flys under the radar on his hires like this while the masses publicly execute Idzik and Macagnan over and over.  They both sucked but I put the blame on the owner for their initial hire and not putting either  guy in a position to even be successful.

Bingo.  Those two clowns had been sabotaging the Jets ever since the day they assumed ownership.  The first of many others twenty  years ago allowing Belichick to walk in favor of the Tuna who by this time was as big of a mercenary as Blackbeard ever was, since then, this organization has been cursed, haunted  making dumb stupid decision while the Pats had been making all the right decision.

Feel free to explain your reasoning.

I went Idzik. Idzik's dirty dozen was just such an outrageous whiff and with a catchy historical name, I believe he will go down as the worst of the worst.

Yeah but taking a box safety as good as he ever going to be over two future HOF QB was unforgivable.  #BAP

I remember it well. "Rejoice, Jets fans." My best guess is that he had the most access of his career under the Macc/Bowles regime and thought he could pull off the same by heaping on the Gase praise when he got hired.

Exactly.  There is no way a loser like Bowles ended up coaching the Jets for an incredible four year while the team got worse every year unless someone in the media praised him while ignoring his failure.  The Johnson only inside access to the team probably came through the media since they are very disinterested owners in their team unlike others like Krafts or Jerry Jones.

Yes, it was painfully obvious that both Petty and Hack should have been cut. Why we carried them, I have no idea but I fully agree that by that time the experiment should have been over.

Trying to defend Mac for passing on Mahomes or Watson is indefensible so I am not trying. The numbers prove he miscalculated on them.  All I am doing is discussing the logic behind it and if you asked me before the draft if we should take Mahomes or Watson, or Adams, I would have picked Adams because I was also all in on a shot at Darnold, Mayfield, or Rosen, I just didn't want  Allen or Jackson.

It worked out is all I can say.

It worked for who? The Chiefs or the Jets?  Im confused.  I’m one of the biggest Sam believers here but for the love of God, the other dude was just named the mvp of the SB and had been breaking QB record at unprecedented level.

Yeah, this is true and looking back it was extremely  risky but Mahomes was not thought to be this QB he became or Alex Smith doesn't  start ahead of him his rookie season.

Clearly a real offensive genius recognized his talent and was in shocked when nobody grabbed him earlier in the first round and traded to get him and the rest is history.  And to think many here were bashing old Andy Reid in the same form as MM, after he was let go by the Eagles.

I'm not a Gase fan and I wish he wasn't retained as our coach for a second year, though I obviously want him to prove me wrong and have an extremely successful second year.

BUT... Manish's overwhelming bias against Gase, which is clearly personal on some level, makes me want Gase to succeed even more than I already do. Every time Manish puts out another Gase hit piece, I find myself inching farther and farther toward being a full-blown Gase supporter.

(Side note: I've heard from a number of people that NYDN thoroughly investigated the Wyatt situation and found it was 110% not Manish behind the account. Interesting that they chose not to clear his name when a lot of Jets fans still believe that he was running that account.)

Mannish is as much of a snake as the fraud and just remember for a second, he  was all in for Gase before a Gase turned on him.

He is one of the reason the Fraud is coaching the Jets.  His fake news piece stabbing MM was his last desperate move for the clowns owners to pass on him after he was about to be named the Jets HC.

God he's so awful. I can't believe I once tried defending him. I'm too nice of a person. Just awful all across the board.

Listen, don’t beat yourself up over this.  Right now there many posters here defending the FRAUD.  They will come around before the ship is about to sink.  Some people just see the lights better than others.😉

31st in offense from a so called offensive genius coach. Why are jets fans always so myopic when it comes to these things?

So last I checked he finished dead last at 32nd,  who made the correction?  Football Reference, ESPN, PPF STILL has the Jets offense dead last.

It is crazy when you think the Redskin with a rookie QB and nobody on offense, the Bengals who won only two games and very predictable one against the Jets, their offense were better. I seen some crazy shiiit in the NFL but an “offensive genius” getting out-offense by the entire league was brutal to watch.
