I don't believe that they're interested at all.

Just now, cant wait said:Exactly and even though brick hasn't been great, continuity for an OL is important
Would have still preferred a one-year prove it deal for Beachum/someone, even for the same cost of $9M, though. Seems that all those guys are gone.

23 minutes ago, Jetsfan80 said:Sure. Will Beatty for $8-10M would be a better solution than Ferguson at $14M.
Alternative: Cut Ferguson, re-sign him at $8M-$10M.
Either works for me.
The problem with this is that he's only making $9M this year. The other $5M is money he already received, so giving a jag a $7M contract would only save us $2M.

And I think some of this conversation was said to multiple reporters.
Lying about what? He said he's on the team. Larz went berserk assuming he's being treated like garbage over a sentence said to the media. Would people rather Bowles/Mac say "Well, Brick used to be worth $14 million." Literally has no basis as to how Brick is actually being treated.

Just now, JiF said:They're quoting the GM and the Head Coach directly...
Quotes of them speaking solely to reporters, no?

I haven't watch a second of anything he's ever done, but this article kind of made me want him.
Vernon Adams Deserves to be A First-Round Pick in the 2016 NFL Draft

Who the hell are we to know how Brick is being treated? We're hearing this stuff through reporters. Jesus

Funny, with all this "smoke" going around, you'd think teams would be lined up asking about the price tag for a future HOFer. Funny indeed.

Reggie Mckenize hates giving up draft picks, and the Raiders still plan on bringing back Aldon Smith. https://vid.me/Bxy6 ( Here K Mack hanging out with Aldon Smith . Just going to wait till he reinstated before signing him. I say it's very unlikely the Raiders trade for Muhammad Wilkerson.
The Browns do you really see Muhammad Wilkerson signing a long term contract with them. Without that , what they give back to the Jets isn't going to be much.
I think there are four teams possible trade partners for Muhammad Wilkerson 1. Jaguars 2. Bears 3. 49ers 4. Colts ( don't know their cap situation).
Colts can afford him, same with the 9ers. I just don't really think the 9ers would go for it, even though he'd be a good fit.
I see the Browns as likely as the Jaguars, aka as likely as the Raiders, aka not likely.

I think we need a few more Mike Glennon threads

51 minutes ago, 32EBoozer said:Everyone seems to think that the Pats only getting a low 2nd for Jones stipulates that we cannot get a 1st for Wilkerson. I disagree.... I think a few teams will
be bidding and I think we can get a 1st rd. pick. Pats were going hush-hush with Jones. Jets are at the owners meeting making it known to all.
Who though? Prior to FA we were talking about the Giants, Jags, Raiders, etc. Giants can't afford him/shouldn't at this point, Jags just shelled out a lot of $ to a slightly worse Mo, and the Raiders still possibly can. Bears are a common team brought up... but so far Pace doesn't seem like the type of GM to be on the other side of the Marshall trade (trading picks for players), he seems to like his cap space and picks. This is year 2 for him, so we'll see, but it doesn't seem like it. Again, they still can but I doubt it.
Possible trade partners IMO:
Colts
Browns
Bears
Raiders
Every other team doesn't need him/can't afford him.
I think we should hope for Grigson to continue being an idiot. But I don't think we'll get anything better than overall pick 40 or so.

13 minutes ago, Snell41 said:He (Milliner) is not even a football player at this point. Right now a UDFA that can at least stay on the field and play specials is more valuable than Milliner. Milliner has pretty much played what, 4 games at CB in the NFL? 8 at most? None in 2 years now? At this point he doesn't get the 1st round draft pick preferential treatment. If he can stay healthy and ball then get him out of here.

Well yes, that's what I'm saying. Clearly there is a realistic chance we draft a CB relatively early, but as of right now, even if he doesn't exactly kill it during the preseason, I don't think he's an auto-cut. I think we kept 7 CBs on the roster last year and right now we have 5. I agree with the sentiment "put up or shut up" with every position but with Milliner I think it's a slightly different story. If he's healthy he can play, I believe that still reigns true. I believe the strict special teams play was to get him back into game shape, considering he hadn't played in about 20 games. I think Bowles/Mac know what they have in a healthy Milliner, regardless of what Bowles just said this morning. Although if he gets hurt again, they should waive him right then and there.
He's played 16 games at CB.

And as for off the field stuff, these are points I can get behind.

39 minutes ago, section314 said:If true, wonder if they had any talks with Pats about Chandler Jones? Guess Pats wouldn't risk trading to an AFC team.
This is likely why they resigned Hali for 3 years. Also, heard a questionable report this morning about Chandler Jones punching someone a day or two before the trade. He may have not been on the trade block when they resigned Hali.

13 minutes ago, Joe Jets fan said:and that would signal the end of Mo on this team.
8 minutes ago, Savage69 said:That signal was in 2014 when they couldn't sign him and again last year with 50 million to spend..
Agreed.
If we had signed him in 2014, we would likely have way more success trying to move him right now...although we would probably be trying to move Sheldon. Would have cost teams about $6-7 million less per year and he could probably be cut by 2017 with little or no dead money. Ugh.

5 minutes ago, T0mShane said:In the Cardale hypothetical--wherein we miss out on Goff, Wentz, Cook, and even Lynch (assuming we don't bet our first on whichever one of them drops)--I'm advocating for taking Cardale over Hackenberg and Kevin Hogan. All are gross, but Cardale is the only one among them to play well in huge games and show freak tools. I'll also admit to giving him a break because I thought Cam Newton was a similarly flawed prospect coming out, and I was clearly wrong.
Cardale reminds me of Geno in the sense that they have the arm strength/ability to make every throw, but they're both just late on throws and reads. If both of them can just speed up their decisions and get the ball out quicker, they'd have way more success. Cardale has little game experience, which probably contributes to some of this.
Cardale is obviously more of an athletic freak than Geno, which is why I'm not against the pick in the mid-late rounds, aka 4th or 5th - especially if we miss out on those 4 mentioned above. I also think if Cardale can hold onto the football and not run backwards to avoid a sack he's likely close to or at Geno's current ability. JMO.

@seanstellato, confirmed the former Redskins' RB will sign a two-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys. -

Quinn told me NFL teams used nickel defenses 60% of the time last year. He expects that number to increase in 2016.
I agree, but this 'fact' leads me to believe he (milliner) is going nowhere. Need all the depth we can get.
