  1. I'm not gonna go game by game, because it's so hard to predict what the teams will look like in month from now, let alone at the end of the season. But I think the Jets win on Sunday and I think the Packers may be in trouble this year. The thing that concerns me the most about them are their lines. The Falcons had horrible lines last year and we saw how they got dominated. You can have all the skill positions you want but if the QB doesn't have the time and the Dline gets dominated by other team's offensive lines it is going to be very difficult to win.
  2. Didn't wayne hunter say the same thing? How's his nfl career going since we got rid of him? Yea must be the media...nothing to do with how they played.
  3. So excited, especially since we have football to talk about instead of stoic complaining!
  4. If it's bad I can see Idzik just cutting bait and cutting him off the Practice Squad. It's pretty clear that Idzik isn't messing around anymore, you make the team look bad you gone.
  5. We have to resign Snacks before Richardson, he's a free agent after this year. He'll demand a large payday.
  6. Why we got $20 million rolling over from this year's cap? I'm assuming this is the main reason that Idzik left so much cap space available.
  7. Nothing like a good QB controversy to get Rich going!
  8. JJ Watt becomes the highest paid defensive player in the league. Curious to how everyone thinks this will affect us with Wilkerson. Also I didn't realize this but Snacks is a free agent after this season as well. Big money will likely be spent next year on our Dline. The Houston Texans and defensive end J.J. Watt have reached agreement on a new six-year extension that could pay him $100 million, league sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen. The deal, which affects the final two seasons of his current contract and keeps him with the Texans through the 2021 season, will pay Watt a guara
  9. I just think he never had confidence in his hands. I remember this preseason against the bengals Geno threw him a pass at his head. He jumped to body catch it instead of catching with his hands. When he landed he got laid out and dropped the pass. If he caught with his hands he could have just braced for the hit. Its a subtle thing but it makes a huge difference in the NFL. To me being a hands catcher and precise route runner are the most important traits of a WR. They are more important to me than speed and height because they show an understanding of how to play the position. Stephen hill
  10. Would never bet on Jets game but like this number. Rex kills all rookie QBs, Raiders are horrible on opening day in the last decade, and Rex has 1 loss opening day I believe (Ravens game) since he has been the Jets head coach. They'll be ready...and frankly they desperately need to win based on their schedule. But regardless I like the line.
  11. Isn't Rex undefeated or close to in his career of coaching against rookie QBs? I remember when Luck was a rookie we killed the Colts, and that was the year we went 6-10
  12. Ray Rice got lucky I guess. So that does that mean if he does it again he's kicked out of football?
  13. At what point is anyone like I need to put on this suit, my sunglasses, pose like I'm in playboy and take the picture of myself? Then on top of that feel the need to post it for the world to see.
  14. Ray Rice getting suspended two games is a joke for what he did. But comparing him to Gordon is unfair because the guy is a complete idiot and this was Rice's first run in with the law. Gordon however has been in trouble multiple times and has had a drug incident every year since he was in the 8th grade. Gordon was already suspended last year and this is essentially his third strike. At least Ray Rice was a man and had two press conferences and apologized. In his second press conference he seemed sincere in his apology and realized he made a humongous mistake. If he does it again then he should
  15. But it was second hand smoke!!!!! Yea ok. I'm glad he enjoys drugs more than making $10 million a year...seems like a solid life decision. This guys has not gone a full year without a drug incident since junior high and he still became the best WR in the NFL. Imagine if this guy could get his s**t together.
  16. Retirement may not be too far away for Gronk. I can see Gronk retiring before Brady
  17. I lol'd when I read this. And then I stopped, has anyone heard from goodson since he was cut? Maybe Idzik is one of those guys who tells his staffers to surprise him.
  18. DENVER -- Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater will be suspended for the first four games of the regular season for a violation of the NFL's substance-abuse program, multiple team sources confirmed following the team's 18-17 preseason loss to the Houston Texans. Prater, who has been in the league's program since an August 2011 DUI arrest, acknowledged the suspension to the Broncos and confirmed the four games to The Denver Post on Saturday night before he left Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The suspension is alcohol-related, according to the newspaper. [+] Enlarge Justin Edmonds/Getty
  19. It was against Green Bay, on the field it was called that he got the first down and it was challenged and reversed. http://m.espn.go.com/general/story?storyId=5765350&city=newyork&src=desktop
  20. You're talking about the Green Bay game 4 years ago. It was 3rd and 7 and Westhoff told the ST unit that if they don't get the first down they were faking the punt. On 3rd down Sanchez got sacked and it became 4th and 15. Westhoff cancelled the fake punt but apparently Weatherford didn't get the message and went for it and almost got it anyway. Actually initially it was called a first down but was then reversed upon review. But that was a turning point for Weatherford and Westhoff's relationship because they exchanged words and blamed each other. They never got along for the rest of the seas
  21. Never been a fan of quigley. He always seems to have at least one punt a game and his avg distance is in the bottom half of the league. Lets find someone else
