- One of Bowles key traits as DC in ARZ was deploying his strongest position group (secondary) in non-traditional ways. That's how he came up with using multiple safeties as LB's. With our strongest position groups now being DLine and the secondary I could see him coming up with formations like a 5-2-4 base, a 5-1-5 nickel and a 5-0-6 dime. By doing that Bowles can force the opponents OLine into 1 on 1 matchups with the likes of Wilkerson, Richardson, Coples, Harrison and Williams. Simple question, what did you think when Idzik drafted Richardson in 2013??? Well Williams was a more highly rated prospect than Richardson was. Williams and maybe Cooper were the safest picks in this draft, you basically can "plug and play" both of them. He's a beast and he's not 21 yet, his maturity and knowledge of the nuances of DLine play is far above his age

And among those participating are seven tryout players, all with some pro experience. One's a quarterback, another is a five-year pro who started out with the Patriots, and three in all are former seventh-round draft picks. The QB is Casey Pachall, the former TCU signalcaller who was on the roster with Jets WR Jeremy Kerley and Bengals QB Andy Dalton in 2009-10. Pachall played four seasons for the Horned Frogs and, despite an injury as a senior in '13, set one TCU career mark with his 62.9% completion accuracy and ranked high in other school categories. Pachall (6'5", 230) went undrafted in 2014, so he spent time on the Toronto and Calgary rosters in the CFL and with the Florida Blacktips of the Fall Experimental Football League late last year. (As an aside, the FXFL was also a stopping point for Tajh Boyd, the Jets' sixth-rounder last year who recently signed with the Steelers.) Here are capsules on the other six tryouts: RB David Fluellen (5'11", 224) — Fluellen, from Lockport, NY, was a productive four-year back at Toledo, combining in 2012 and '13 for 2,619 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns and finishing his career two yards shy of 4,000 yards from scrimmage. He signed as an undrafted free agent with Philadelphia a year ago, was actually traded to Indianapolis for K Cody Parkey, and so wound up splitting the preseason schedule with the Eagles and Colts before he was a final cut by Indy. DL Brandon Deaderick (6'4", 305) — Deaderick has the most pro experience of the group. A three-year starter at Alabama, he was selected in the seventh round (No. 247 overall) by New England in the 2010 draft and went on to play 40 games (19 starts) along the D-line with the Patriots from 2010-12, including Super Bowl XLVI against the Giants. In 2013 he played 13 games (one start) with the Jaguars, and last year he had 13 games (two starts) with the Saints. TE Sean McGrath (6'5", 247) — McGrath signed as an undrafted free agent out of Henderson State with the Seahawks in 2012. Kansas City acquired him off waivers after 2013 final cuts and he played all 16 games for the Chiefs in '13 with nine starts, making 26 catches for 302 yards and two TDs. He was placed on reserve/did not report at the start of last year's training camp and coach Andy Reid said at that time McGrath planned to retire. He's giving it another shot now. WR Aaron Mellette (6'2", 217) — Merle Aaron Mellette lit it up in four seasons at Elon in North Carolina, compiling 304 receptions for 4,254 yards, 44 touchdowns and 23 100-yard games. He was taken by the Ravens in the seventh round (No. 238 overall) of the 2013 draft. He had nine catches for 140 yards and two TDs that summer, made it through final cuts and was inactive on opening day, but then spent the rest of the year on IR with a knee injury, and was released last June with a failed-physical designation. DL Donte Rumph (6'3", 320) — Rumph (pronounced "rump"), a cousin of former Dolphins DE Phillip Merling, was a three-year starter at Kentucky, signed with Atlanta as an undrafted free agent a year ago and was a final cut. Until recently he had appeared on the roster of the Jacksonville Sharks of the Arena Football League. S Lavelle Westbrooks (6'0", 185) — Westbrooks was a physical coverman who played mostly CB but one year of S in three seasons as a Georgia Southern starter. He was the seventh-round pick (No. 247 overall) of the Bengals last year and was a final cut last August.

They'll probably post it later on the Jet website but he's impeccable with the media. In his 30 minutes he gave you a ton of info on his philosophy and the process. Basically don't expect a trade up look for a trade down and need is very low on his list when evaluating players. If you factor in need "too early" you'll "skew the process" (his words)

They indicate that the Jets are really interested in a quarterback not named Geno Smith, evidenced by six of their 26 visits, and one workout, being quarterbacks. That is as of Monday morning according to an unofficial list compiled by NFLDraftScout.com The Jets, who are still looking for a replacement for Joe Namath, apparently believe they can get their man this year with the No. 6 pick in the draft. To prepare, they were up close and personal with three of the top-rated quarterbacks in the draft -- Florida State's Jameis Winston, Oregon's Marcus Mariota, and UCLA's Brett Hundley. The only one they worked out was Winston. The Jets also visited with the next two quarterbacks in NFLDraftScout.com's rankings, Baylor's Bryce Petty and Colorado State's Garret Grayson. They gave a shout out to Gary Nova, whose visit doesn't even count toward the official maximum because he is local, at Rutgers. Also high on the Jets' curiosity meter were wide receivers, who accounted for seven visits and outside linebackers with six. Teams are allowed a total of 30 visits, not including local prospects. Our list also includes workouts, when the team sends coaches and scouts to the player's campus. But as of Monday morning, the Jets held only two such workouts, with Winston and North Carolina State offensive tackle Tyson Chandler. Watching who accepts a request for a visit or workout might hint what player or players the team is inclined to draft. Or not. But it is an interesting part of the whole draft evaluation process. These ongoing get-togethers are not the only time that coaches and scouts get face time with prospects. Teams also visit players at all-star games, the combine, and during pro days. Again you know nothing about the situation. Davis, Mangold and Decker have all spoken out about the lack of accountability and poor practices last year. But tough guy Ryan ONLY picks on the comment of a rookie

You need to stop, we get it you LOVE Ryan and he can do no wrong. Amaro is not the one continuing this story your beloved coach is. The simple fact is an NFL rookie (who can tell time) noticed many instances of players being late and Ryan doing NOTHING about it. He's your problem now deal with it
