Idzik School of Drafting. Go Defense in round 1...again. Draft QB with no hope of ever being a serviceable starter in league in round 2.
Hey though, the secondary, tight ends and running backs look great.

If Revis can't go, it's feet to the fire time for Burris. The McDougle and Milliner swing and misses have made the Jets spend over 24 million on two CBs that are massively underperforming. Add in Milliner's dead money and that's almost 30. Ridiculous.
Also, if they need to bring in someone, bring back Darrin Walls who outplayed Cromartie and others last season.
The secondary has been handled almost as poorly as the Quarterback position and worse than the Tight Ends and Running Backs.

No, OBJ is like a year or two away from losing it and going all "Last Boyscout" on the field.

Hey, do you guys know that Fitz went to Harvard? I think if Ladanian Thompson knew that then he wouldn't say this.

The vikings also have taken a novel approach to defense by stopping the other team's offense.
Bradford looks much better with a top 5 defense.

Isn't he dead?

He has his moments for sure. He's also a piss poor tackler and gets beat as much as he makes plays. But, yes, he has to play because they have 4 CBs on the roster to go with 4 QBs and 4 TEs.
Wait, the Jets have a TE? Maybe we shouldn't talk about it so they don't get scared and run away.

With the way the Jets front 7 get after the quarter back, the team should be playing 2 deep coverage . To say the Jet are misusing Pryor would be a mistake. To say a safety who can't cover is a bad safety would be a correct statement . Pryor should be traded or cut because he adds nothing to the Jets defense
I'd say he's actually a negative since they either have the scheme him in a one dimensional use when there have been games this season that have 6-7 defensive backs on the field. His inability to cover takes away from the other players who have to be used to prevent him from giving up yards like a prom queen gives it up on prom night.

If not corner, can he remember his safety responsibilities? Can he hit someone modestly hard without getting injured?
Maybe he might be better at running back.

Picking Hackenberg means they won't pick up a real QB prospect this offseason. The franchise QB prospect can't throw accurately which is the primary skill for a QB..
The Jets drafted tebow without the annoying media coverage factor. We've seen tebow play football already.

I wonder if Petty can play corner...

They got rid of probable so you have to use questionable
If he's "going to play" then that's not questionable

So what is with this team and tight ends on both sides of the ball. It's like the staff has absolutely no idea what this position is or how to deal with it.
They don't use a TE on offense and seem utterly mystified about how you stop one on defense. Perhaps, there should be a billboard that says, "Tight Ends. They do exist!"

Also, doesn't seem to know what it is doing with running backs and the secondary

Our entire RB situation is a mess. Worst in the NFL
The RBs look as bad as the QBs and Secondary. The situations mirror themselves. All 3 look like tire fires.

The big problem of drafting hackenberg and the biggest mistake by Maccagnan is that he took him in the 2nd round. It is the same mistake that Idzik made with Geno. It prevents him from getting a QB early if there is one worth taking. Now it's a late round flyer pick at QB, if any, since they took a late round flyer QB in the 2nd.
This means he won't be taking a QB in the draft. Otherwise, he'd be admitting he wasted a 2nd round draft pick.

Really though, if they had signed spiller and continued assembling the Bills 2011 offense then they could have scored like 10 points against the seahawks. Spiller also wouldn't have scored a touchdown against them.
I think the moral of the story is they really need to get the rest of the guys from that 2011 Bills offense.

So a towel on his head walking up and down behind the bench = a bad player?
Yes, apparently. Silly. It's not like there isn't plenty of actual stuff to use to show that geno sucks. I don't understand the point of putting energy in to make up absurd things about him.

On if Clady is questionable…
He’s questionable, but he’ll play.
I don't think bowles knows what questionable means..

This is a silly fallacy. It's almost 3 hours that they're out on the field. If you think backups QBs stand next to the coach the whole time then I have a bridge to sell you. You will love the view. On sale now.

So Jets get a...what six year pass for Bowles and Maccagnan (if you're going to praise him as a genius re-builder, at least spell his name correctly because "Rebuilding". Right.
It's amusing how the narrative has changed since before they started playing games. None of the folks talking re-build were saying that after the Bills game.
-
This team is the exact opposite of "rebuilding"...you don't sign high priced veteran's to "rebuild"
Not to mention that "rebuilding" int he NFL is a 1-2 year deal. It's not like the NHL

It's quite the fallacy to believe that a wide receiver equals a tight end.
