  1. In his first year Gase was "on pace" to do exactly what Saleh is currently "on pace" to do. Team was 1-5, with a -93 points differential, coming off a 33-0 blowout loss to ... the New England Patriots. It's deja vu all over again!
  2. That was what I was wondering ... after this week's game we have a short week before Indy, so we could have two games w. White as starter and Flacco as backup maybe? If White does start it will only give us one of the two potential outcomes ... if he starts and plays well, we can assume that it's Zac + system that isn't working. But if he stinks up the joint it doesn't necessarily prove it's the system ... it could jsut be White + system also isn't working. This would probably be my worst case scenario - so is most likely to be the outcome we end up with.
  3. So ... Flacco comes in and starts the next few games (maybe). If the offense looks much better - we can then decide that LaFleur's system is OK, just not working with ZW at QB. If the offense doesn't look much better - we can then decide that LaFleur's system is not OK. Either way this will at least give us something a bit different to talk about.
  4. Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality ... so very apt. How many weeks (days?) before someone here is posting "Mama ... just killed a man" because of this team??
  5. So ... we will never lose 54-13 to New England in Gillette Stadium in October again while Ulbrich is the DC? I actually believe him. Now all he needs to do is rule out a few thousand other potential negative outcomes and we might be in business.
  6. We scored more points than KC this week! That's something, right? [emoji12] Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  7. Especially as it's so predictable ... we've been doing the old run-run-pass-punt routine all year. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what we're going to do. Yesterday we were 14 points down before our QB had even thrown a pass. Wretched. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  8. The Lions have had some heartbreaking losses late in games ... that's far more than we've had most of the year! Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  9. Looking back on this ... sadly, I think we'd struggle to beat the JPF as things stand!
  10. Here in the UK we have a campaign going on about gambling awareness, but the message is the same for watching the Jets ...
  11. It was also on Zach that we gave up two TDs on defense before we'd thrown a single pass.
  12. So they cheap shot our QB and we're more angry about them running up the score at the end of the game?
  13. We're looking at this the wrong way round ... it's Mahomes that is having the Wilson Effect.
  14. We'd still get beat because we couldn't stop NE offense all day. RG being bad hampered the offense, yes, but it didn't give up 31 first half points. Yes, it's NE, and BB is a scumbag, but it's still only one game. Far bigger concern is Zach's injury.
  15. I was just refuting the idea that BB is somehow assuming this game is already "in the bag" as a reason to expect an upset. Lazy narrative IMHO. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  16. Could she predict another 6 wins for us this year? Please? Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  17. Two things that I've never seen NE being accused of ... being "dazed and confused" and "looking ahead". BB will be laser focused on this game - no way will he overlook us. Last thing he wants to do is lose to the Jets and their rookie QB. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  18. If you're convinced the guy you have isn't up for the job then yes, you move on. I just don't feel that we can adequately judge that to be the case right now. The rest of this year needs to show improvement - even if not wins, we have to start looking competitive for the full game, rather than showing up in the second half down two or three scores. If so then we look forward to 2022. If not then this thread will reach 50k+ posts easily. But I don't see anyone getting fired this year. NFL franchises don't turn around just like that. They take time to build, and you have to look for the signs

  20. Maybe if we all just sneak out one by one they won't notice they're the only ones left ... two grumpy old men shouting at the clouds. [emoji16] Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  21. Yeah, much better to have 5 one year rebuilds so we get the satisfaction of firing more people. [emoji12] Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
