  1. He had 23 passes thrown his way last season, even if he dropped 20 of them , it would be an incredibly small sample size.
  2. Really wasn't the problem , the problem was being invested in the playbook and not giving his all.
  3. I'd love to see Mims flourish, because 1) It would make this offense a potential upper echelon unit 2) It would be delicious to read all the flip floppers here contending they were always big fans and knew he had potential.
  4. Why. What's the average lifespan of an NFL Dlineman 5-7 years ?
  5. I agree Pinnock looked much more natural at safety than he did at corner. This team is stacking up some nice depth as Elijah Reilly and Kai Nacua looked decent at times as well.
  6. Agree with the premise about trading back, not sure the Jets really need another DT though. They have JFM, Rankins, Marshall, Thomas , Q, Smart , Shepherd.
  7. Don't forget they also have Solomon Thomas as well now.
  8. It was due in part to not having a pass rushing end, and JFM having to play outside. Having Lawson and JJ now allows the Jets to employ JFM, Q, Marshall and Rankins inside exclusively. The D front will be so much better this season.
  9. I'd be happy with any of McBride, Ruckert, Dulcich, Kolar or Woods if they decide to use a pick on a TE , my favorite being Ruckert,
  10. 38 Trade out for a pick in mid/late 50's and a 2022 5th plus a 2023 3rd 50-60 LB Leo Chenal/Chad Muma/Brian Asamoah 101 RB James Cook /Rachad White 111 OL Ed Ingram/CaM Jurgens
  11. If your buying a new car do you buy one with engine trouble because you have other cars that can be used till its fixed. No you buy a car that's in working order.
  12. You are correct , I misread your original post skipping over the being there at 35 part .
  13. Disagree there . I feel Stingley, Booth and McDuffie can be just as good as Gardner. I feel Gardner's stat's are being blown out of context , no Td's against and I feel Stingley is being severely downgraded due to his prior injury and sit out. W/o the injury Stingley is a better prospect then Gardner .
  14. I'd argue Jermaine Johnson will be the best of the lot.
  15. We've seen what happens to even good Olines with injuries . Oline depth is critical especially when developing a young QB. With JD's proclaimed affinity to Oline , would not be surprised one bit if they draft Ekownu and keep all 3 of Becton/Fant/Ekwonu.
  16. Well that's the draft in a nutshell. Its nothing more than an educated crapshoot. You have Professional scouts/GM's and personnel men get these wrong all the time. And it not just the Jets its every single NFL team. What separates the great teams from the mediocre ones is getting more picks right than wrong but more importantly having the systems, coaches and development in place to give these kids the best chance to succeed. And even the top teams miss , as you never know how a young 20 old is going to adapt to the NFL.
  17. For me that's the worst possible outcome of round 1 .
  18. Not crazy about the 1st round, love the 2nd round picks. I'm ok with Sauce/Ekwonu/JJ/Thibs at 4 hate London at 10 would much prefer Wilson/Burks or even Olave over London.
  19. True but the guy is only 26 and although recovery from a torn achilles is tough , there have been a number of examples of Rush Edge players recently coming back and still being effective (Terrell Suggs, Olivier Vernon, Cam Wake)
  20. Compared to the production the Jets have gotten from pass rushers since JA , this guy is Reggie White on steroids .
  21. Another guy getting no talk who would a a good day 2/3 pick is Bell from Purdue.
