  1. So you’re just really worried about Elijah’s feelings? Because if you like him as a receiver, I don’t think it is a problem to have TWO really good wide receivers on a football team.
  2. This might be the most obvious troll thread start in history. I literally LOL’d when I read it. So your take is that the team had a really talented receiver that isn’t as talented as a rookie receiver, and our back up QB favors the more talented rookie? Then add what might happen when the young talented starting QB comes back from injury, as pure speculation. It’s just a really weird take, and looking to stir the pot.
  3. I got news for you all. The Jets are a talented team that appears to be fully engaged with the head coaches philosophy.
  4. Whomever the QB is going forward, the biggest takeaway is that this young team believes in this coach and they played like a team. When you win a game like that there is no “ME” mentality, and that’s how you win in the NFL. I was way down on Saleh going into this game, but after watching the players press conferences I feel much different. I am still not sold on his ability to game plan, but he has his players balling and putting it all out there. With a very young squad, that means a lot! Especially when you have vets like Flacco, Davis and Mosley. I have no doubt that this team is 100% bought in to what Saleh Is selling!
  5. Imagine if players like this who bring talent and a winning mentality, can inspire some of our past draft picks to elevate their game and get them to play at an NFL level.
  6. We made a big splash signing 2 FA TE in Uzomah and Conklin, why is Cager out there in the 1st quarter? He barely made the final cut. Did CJ even play?
  7. I love Payton and respect his ability, but I think he is still butt hurt over the 2003 41-0 trouncing we gave him in the playoffs, as well as the 1 point playoff loss to the Jets in 2010.
  8. I think the QB change is the main thing. I had hope Flacco could simply game manage us to a win with good defensive play, but he was actually a liability.
  9. I am not one to trash Saleh or call for anyone’s job, but all of the mistakes reflect on the coaching staff. The drops, fumbles, missed kicks and boneheaded plays have to be 100% unacceptable. Daniel Jones through a bad interception in the end zone yesterday and got an earful on the sidelines from Daboll. There was no pat on the back or “nice try, don’t worry about it.” He was pissed and let his QB know about it. We need some of that from Saleh. Unfortunately I think he is more concerned with being liked by his players than winning games.
  10. I started on JI, then we the merger happened My kids were young and I lacked the initiative and technical savvy to figure out what to do to find the new forum until 2015 when kids were in high school and I found some down time.
  11. It’s time to bury the loser mentality once and for all. No excuses, I don’t care about injuries or any other BS. This team finally has legit NFL talent and anything less than a home opening victory should be unacceptable to everyone in the organization, and those that support the team!
  12. You nailed it! It’s a fascinating trajectory that sports fandom has taken with the popularity of forums and social media. There is no middle ground any longer and every news cycle brings only one extreme or the other, and it’s pretty subjective on which side you land. I am very content sitting back and seeing how things play out. I may not love some of the decisions, but I am certain the people making them are much more qualified than me, even if they ultimately prove to be wrong. I do see the entertainment aspect of this wonderful forum though, and encourage even casual fans to join for it’s unique perspective and passionate discourse.
  13. Floor = 6 wins and competitive week after week with our very young and talented roster. Ceiling = 12 wins and we get demolished in the divisional round. I will be very happy with either. Call me crazy, but that’s the way I see it after a more than moderate amount of brown liquor!
  14. I had to semi -read through all the teenage back and forth to try and find an answer.
  15. So could Zach Wilson be ready for week 1, or not? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  16. From what I remember of him, he is a tackle machine and always around the ball. I think he would be a nice upgrade. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

  18. Bottom line is that this team now has NFL talent pretty much throughout the roster. With good coaching and quality QB play, I see no reason why a playoff run is an unreasonable expectation. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  19. My gut makes me feel not good. My brain makes me feel like it is too soo to make that call. Not a great feeling, but it’s the Jets… Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  20. I was not at all on The Streveler Train after the Eagles game, but after tonight I really think there might be something there. He was poised and had good command of the offense. I would absolutely favor him over White based on what I saw tonight. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  21. I sense an extreme lack of positive vibes. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  22. Has any other teams cut successful fans, who spank to Salma Hayek from their base? It seems we are building a thread around strengthing the libido and collective IQ of the Jets fan base. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
