  1. Resign: QB - Joe Flacco - 1 Year Deal OG - Laurent Duvernay-Tardif - 2 Year Deal TE - Tyler Kroft - 2 Year Deal Edge - Kyle Phillips - 2 Year Deal OT - Morgan Moses - 3 Year Deal Free Agency: S - Tyrann Mathieu [Chiefs] - 3 Year Deal [Leader & All Gas Mentality, Adds Veteran Stability in Secondary, Locker Room Favorite] WR - Allen Robinson [Bears] - 3 Year Deal [Due to Lack of Production, Shouldn't Have to Overpay, Still Convinced Robinson Can Be Top 25 WR in NFL] TE - Gerald Everette [Seahawks] - 2 Year Deal [2017 2nd Round Pick, Yet to Live Out Full Potential, Weak Volume in Targets in Seattle, Could Get at $5-$6m Per Year] CB - Sidney Jones [Seahawks] - 1 Year Deal [Fits Scheme, Drafted by Eagles + Joe Douglas 2nd Round 2017, Fell Due to Injury, Low Cost + High Reward] Edge - Arden Key [49ers] - 1 Year Deal [Fits Scheme, 2018 3rd Round Pick Has Yet to Fulfill Potential, Coming Off 6.5 Sack Season, Prove It Deal] Draft: 1 (4) - Edge - Kayvon Thibodeux 1 (10) - CB - Ahmad Gardner 2 (35) - TE - Trey McBride 2 (38) - OL - Kenyon Green 3 (69) - WR - Alec Pierce 4 (102) - RB - Dameon Pierce 4 (108) - LB - James Skalski 5 (131) - OL - Logan Bruss
  2. Fair points on the Moses 1 year deal. I guess I was just pleasantly suprised by Quincy Williams, Mosely is a beast, and curious to give our young players we drafted last year Nasirideen and Sherwood how they do.
  3. Cut: C - Connor McGovern [Saves $10m] OG - Greg Van-Roten [Saves $3.5m] Resign: RG - Laurent Duvernay-Tardif [3 Year Deal = Depth / Compete for Starting Job] WR - Braxton Berrios [3 Year Deal = Slot / Special Teams Starter] WR - Keenan Cole [1 Year Deal = Depth / Compete for #5 WR] QB - Mike White [1 Year Deal = Depth / Consistency in System] QB - Joe Flacco [1 Year Deal = Veteran Leadership in QB Room] RT - Morgan Moses [1 Year Deal = Depth / Compete for Starting Job] OL - Dan Feeney [1 Year Deal = Depth / Consistency in System] FA: CB - JC Jackson [4 Year Deal = Number 1 CB Starter] FS - Marcus Williams [4 Year Deal = FS Starter] WR - DJ Chark Jr. [3 Year Deal = 3-WR Set Starter] TE - Maxx Williams [2 Year Deal = Depth / #2 Blocking TE] Draft: 1a. Edge - Kayvon Thibodeaux or Aidan Hutchinson [Assuming 1 Falls Due to Top 3 Teams Having Other Needs] 1b. OC - Tyler Linderbaum [Open to Trading Back 5 Spots Assuming TL to be Available] 2a. WR - Jameson Williams [Injury Could Slide Him From Top 15 Pick to High 2nd Round] 2b. TE - Jalen Wydermyer [Compete & Potential Day 1 Starter at TE, Another Passing Weapon for Zach] 3a. OG - Zion Johnson [Compete & Potential Day 1 Starter at RG, Experience Playing OT] 4a. DT - Travis Jones [At 6ft 3, 335 pounds, Jones Provides Some Size, Run Stuffing Ability That We Currently Lack] 4b. Edge - Cameron Thomas [Can Never Have Enough Pass Rushers, Rotational Depth, Special Teams] 5a. WR - Donario Drummond [Another WR from Ole Miss, Another Playmaker for Zach] 5b. RB - Zamir White [Powerful Downhill Runner, Nice Complement to Carter] Projected Starters [Some Potential PS Players Listed]: Offense QB - Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, Mike White RB - Michael Carter, Zamir White, Ty Johnson WR - Corey Davis, Jameson Williams, Donario Drummond WR - Elijah Moore, Braxton Berrios WR - DJ Chark, Keenan Cole TE - Maxx Williams, Jalen Wydermyer, Ryan Griffen, Kenny Yeboah LT - Mekhi Becton, Morgan Moses LG - Alijah Vera-Tucker, Issiah Williams C - Tyler Linderbaum, Dan Feeney RG - Laurent Duvernay, Zion Johnson RT - George Fant, Morgan Moses Defense: DE - Carl Lawson, Bryce Huff, Cameron Thomas DT - Quinnen Williams, Nathan Shepard, Jonathan Marshall DT - Sheldon Rankins, John Franklin Myers, Travis Jones DE - Hutchinson, John Franklin Myers LB - Hamsahn Nasirideen, Del'Shawn Phillips LB - CJ Mosley, Jamien Sherwood LB - Quincy Williams, Blake Cashman CB - JC Jackson, Brandon Echols, Javelin Guildry, Jason Pinnock CB - Bryce Hall, Michael Carter II, Justin Hardee FS - Marcus Williams, Elijah Riley SS - Ashtyn Davis Implications: Secondary goes from weakness to strength adding some exceptional veteran talent, with the return of a health Lawson, and whichever pass-rusher we can get at 4, our defense quickly could jump into top 10 discussion. On offense our offensive line could become dominate with Linderbaum holding down the middle, and if Mekhi returns healthy [big IF]. DJ Chark is a very under-rated WR that would give some nice depth heading into the draft, if Jameson Williams falls we should trade up to grab him, which would quickly bring exceptional depth to our WR group. TE gets a complete overhaul as needed. I think this roster would be very competitive.

  6. Plenty of solid options out there regarding Free Agency. With a few signs, could really improve some holes. We still have $29M in cap space [prior to signing draft picks], and could create another $5M by releasing LG Alex Lewis [likely after drafting AVT and signing OG Dan Feeney from Chargers]. Grabbing Nelson, Ingram, Turner, and Westbrook would immediately make our pass rush a strength, and our corner depth pretty strong with great competition, and if Westbrook can return to full health give us one of the deeper WR groups we have had in years. Players to Sign: 1. CB Steven Nelson [3 Year Deal] - only 28 years old, should make priority to sign, was a cap casualty for the Steelers, but a top 15 CB in the league and would immediately become our best corner. 2. EDGE Melvin Ingram [2 Year Deal] - another older guy at 32, but still can get after the QB and would add to a nice rotation of pass rushers for Saleh. 3. OL Trai Turner [1 Year Deal] - another younger FA at 28 years old, can play center or guard, provides depth, replace Alex Lewis at a cheaper cost. 4. WR Dede Westbrook [1 Year Deal] - a young promising player at 27, coming off a major leg injury in early 2020, should be able to get him relatively cheap given health uncertainty. 5. QB Nick Mullens [1 Year Deal] - knows the system comes from San Fran, should be cheap, potentially add another vet if available but provides some depth. Projected Depth Chart: QB - Zack Wilson, Mullens, Morgan RB - Coleman, Carter, Johnson, Adams WR1 - Corey Davis, Keenen Cole, Josh Doctson WR 2 - Denzel Mimms, Dede Westbrook, Vincent Smith WR 3 / Slot - Crowder, Moore, Berrios TE - Herndon, Griffen, Kroft LT - Becton, Edoga LG - AVT, Turner C - McGovern, Feeney RG - Van Roten, Clark RT - Fant, Edoga DE - Carl Lawson, Kyle Phillips DT - Sheldon Rankins, Fatukaski, Marshall DT - Quinnen Williams, Franklin-Myers, Sheppard DE - Melvin Ingram, Curry, Huff OLB - Cashman, Jermien Sherwood MLB - Mosley OLB - Jarrad Davis, Hamsah Nasirildeen CB 1 - Steven Nelson, Bless Austin, Jason Pinnock CB 2 - Bryce Hall, Justin Hardee, Corey Ballentin CB 3 / Nickle - Michael Carter, Brandon Echols SS - Lamarcus Joyner, Ashtyn Davis FS - Marcus Maye, Hampton
  7. Resign: - FS Marcus Maye [4 Years] - CB Brian Poole [3 Years] - ILB Neville Hewitt [3 Years] Free Agency: - OG Joe Thuney [4 Years] - WR Kenny Golladay [4 Years] - CB William Jackson [3 Years] - EDGE Melvin Ingram [3 Years] - CB Dontae Johnson [1 Year, 49er FA] - DE Kerry Hyder [1 Year, 49er FA] Trade: Number 2nd Pick to Carolina Panthers for 8th Pick + 2021 2nd Round Pick + 2022 1st Round Pick [Provided Enough Draft Capital to Draft Up for QB if Darnold Not Our Guy] Draft: 1a. WR Ja'Marr Chase 1b. DE Zavin Collins 2a. RB Najee Harris 2b. CB Caleb Farley 3a. OT Trey Smith 3b. TE Brevin Jordan
  8. Resign: WR Breshad Perriman [1-Year Deal] SS Bradley McDougal [1-Year Deal] ILB Neville Hewitt [2-Year Deal] CB Brian Poole [3-Year Deal] OLB Jordan Jenkins [3-Year Deal] FS Marcus Maye [4-Year Deal] Trade: QB Sam Darnold to Atlanta Falcons for 2021 3rd Round Pick Free Agency: WR Allen Robinson [4-Year Deal] CB William Jackson [3-Year Deal] OG Joe Thuney [4-Year Deal] OLB / Edge Matthew Judon [3-Year Deal] Draft: 1. QB Trevor Lawrence 1. CB Jaycee Horn 2. RB Travis Etienne 3. OLB / Edge Carlos Bashman 3. NT / DT Tedarrel Slaton 3. WR Tylan Wallace 4. CB Rodarius Williams 5. TE Tre McKitty 5. WR Reggie Roberson 6. OLB / Edge Joshua Kaindoh Thoughts: Still would have potential holes in terms of pass rush, but this would solidify our offensive line, secondary, skilled offensive weapons, and give Lawrence a nice group of WR's to throw [Robinson, Mims, Perrimen, and Crowder]. I think it will all come down to coaching - but if we get Thuney, I think we could have top 5 offensive line unit in NFL.
  9. FA Additional Moves: - CB Brandon Carr - Edge Markus Golden - Edge Jabaal Sheard - WR Taylor Gabriel Draft: 1. OT Andrew Thomas - Georgia 2. WR Justin Jefferson - LSU 3. CB Jeff Gladney - TCU 3. OLB Kenny Willekes - Michigan State 4. WR Quez Watkins - Southern Miss 5. RB Anthony McFarland - Marlyand 6. WR Darrell Mooney - Tulane
  10. Here is my ideal scenario. Granted this does not include signing typical back-ups - but highlighted what I thought was key players. Suggestions - thoughts - I am sure I will have some who hate it. Resign: - CB B. Poole > 4 Years - OLB Jordan Jenkins > 3 Years - OT K. Beachum > 2 Years - WR Demaryius Thomas > 1 Year Trade: - 2020 6th Round Pick, 2021 7th Round Pick to Eagles for WR Alshon Jeffery Release: - CB T. Johnson - OG B. Winters - CB D. Roberts Free Agency [Projected $75M Available in Cap] : - OG Joe Thuney > 5 Years - OT Jack Conklin > 4 Years - OLB Markus Golden > 3 Years - CB Jimmy Smith > 2 Years - CB Bradley Robey > 1 Year Draft: 1. OT Tristan Wirfs 2. OLB Bradley Anae 3a. WR Brandon Aiyuk 3b. OC Loyld Cushenberry 4. CB Lavert Hill 5. WR Marquez Callaway 6. RB Darynton Evans 7. OLB DJ Wonnum I think the biggest area for improvement after this offseason would be lack of an elite true #1 corner. I think Roby has upside if he can stay healthy & out of trouble - Jimmy Smith if healthy is a reliable #2 corner. Our offensive line would instantly become arguably top 12 in the league - our pass rush would see a much improved upgrade in depth - replace Robby with younger & cheaper deep threats while adding a serious red zone target in AJ from the Eagles. I think Joe Douglas will build in the trenched in his first draft. As much as it would be exciting to see him take a guy like Jeudy - I just see him going pass protection or pass rush in the first two rounds. I really want to see what our offense would look like with a talented offensive line - I think we may be pleasantly surprised.

  13. Key Points: Transition to 4-3 Defense [Re-invest into DT, DE, OLB] Address Pass Rusher [FA & Draft] Address Trenches [Offensive Line Specifically] Get Weapons for Samy D [FA & Draft] Resign / Extend: WR / KR - Andre Roberts CB - Morris Claiborne OLB - Brandon Copeland WR - Robby Anderson Cut: OT - Kelvin Beachum [$8.0M Free Cap Space Post June 1] RB - Isaiah Crowell [$4.0M Free Cap Space Post June 1] Free Agency: RB - Le'Veon Bell WR - John Brown C - Matt Paradis DE - Trey Flowers DT - Gerald McCoy [Cap Casualty Cut by Tampa] Draft: Trade 1st Round 3rd Overall Pick to Jags [Jags Take QB at 3] Jets Receive Jags 1st Round 7th Overall Pick, 2nd Round Pick, 3rd Round Pick, and 2020 2nd Round Pick 1. 14. Release: DL - Mo Wilkerson RB - Matt Forte OL - Ben Ijalana Resign: WR - Quincy Enunwa TE - ASJ CB - Morris Claiborne DE - Kon Ealey ILB - Demario Davis Sign: QB - Kirk Cousins C - Travis Swanson OT - Chris Hubbard WR - Bruce Ellington OLB - Dee Ford CB - Vontae Davis Draft: 1. OLB - Bradley Chubb 2. RB - Nick Chubb 2. CB - Nick Nelson 3. DL - De-Shawn Hand 4. WR - Marcel Ateman 5. CB - Jordan Thomas 6. OLB - Andrew Trumbetti 7. OL - Jake Bennet Probably unrealistic - I am hopeful Kirk could be good enough, with a strong run game & elite defense - to take us to the promise land. Land some veterans on OL & Ellington would give some nice depth at the slot. I think Dee Ford & Vontae Davis will come cheaper than people realize, both underperformed lately, and Davis has had injury issues but is still just 30 & I think our training staff could get a good 2-3 seasons out of him. Having a healthy Davis & Claiborne could be deadly. As far as draft I would go BPA.
  15. We have zero pass rush - our OLB's are pretty weak to say the least. Ok so remove Butler and Grapp insert Cousins. You get the picture - use FA to find franchise QB. We don't need more WR's is this board retarted? Kerley might not be resigned but Enunwa will be. We are not losing ball games because of poor WR play. We are losing because we can't finish games on D, stopping the run, and sacking the QB. We don't need another fast shifty back. We have that in Powell and McGuire. We need a strong goal-line back. We need a better O-Line that can actually run the ball - and a pass rush that can get after the QB. Oh and we need a franchise QB. If we used a first rounder on a WR I would be pretty upset.
  16. After an exciting but difficult start to the season 2017 - I figured why not discuss how we can improve & look forward to the offseason of 2018. Projected 2017 Cap Casualties: CB Buster Skrine, RB Matt Forte Projected 2018 Cap Space: $90 Million Projected 2018 Free Agent Signs: QB Jimmy Garoppolo [Free Agent - Pats] CB Malcolm Butler [Free Agent - Pats] WR Quincy Enunwa [Resign] OT Brent Qvale [Resign] TE Austin Sefarian-Jenkins [Resign] WR Jeremy Kerley [Resign] CB Morris Claiborne [Resign] ILB Demario Davis [Resign] Projected 2018 Draft Picks: (1) OLB Arden Key - LSU (2a) C / OL Billy Price - Ohio State (2b) CB Travarus McFadden - Florida State (3) NT Vita Vea - Washington (4) WR Deon Cain - Clemson (5a) DL B.J. Hill - NC State (5b) OT Brock Ruble - Florida (6) RB Lavon Coleman - Washington (7) ILB Myles Morgan - Notre Dame. My theme > consistency. Bring back players that have been productive. Improve through the draft. Oh and get a guy extremely talented [as much as any of the QBs in the draft] who has spent 4 years learning under Tom Brady. Could make the Jets vs. Pats series very interesting to say the least. Instead of having to groom a young guy for 2-3 years, we get a young guy who has talent, experience, and a solid football IQ. Also we would have solid young depth at corner with Claiborne, Butler, McFadden, Burris, Roberts, Clark, & Jones.
  17. I think if he sits for a year or two he could end up being a quality starter…. and as far as Green-Beckham as crazy as this sounds, having a guy like Decker and yes a wiser and more mature Marshall to mentor this talented kid, could be a recipe for success. And While everyone points to NYC being a horrible place for people with off the field issues, please remember the Jets practice facility is in Florham Park, a small suburb town 50 minutes from New York City. He would not live in the city.
  18. Extend: - Wilkerson [6 yrs. 80 Mil] Release: - Babin [1.5 Mil] - Walls [1.1 Mil] - Cumberland [1.9 Mil] Restructure: - Giacomini - Ferguson Draft: Trade 6th pick in exchange for 12th and 19th pick to Browns [Assuming Mariota is on board] 1 [12]: OLB Vic Beasley 1 [19]: OG/OT La'el Collins 2 [37]: WR Dorial Green-Beckham 3 [70]: QB Bryce Petty 4 [104]: CB Doran Grant 7 [223]: C B.J. Finney 7 [224]: OG Jarvis Harrison
  19. Draft: 1. OLB Vic Beasley > an edge rusher that would soar with big Mo and Sheldon on the inside, add Beasley coming off the edge and you have yourself the making of an elite defense front-7. 2. OL Cameron Erving > great value here, can compete for the RG starting spot as a rookie, and eventually replace Mangold in the future. 3. RB Duke Johnson > a speedy back who would fit perfectly in our spread offense. Cheaper backup plan for CJ Spiller. 4. ILB Hayes Pullard > a hard worker who has the tape but lacks measurable's scouts desire (arm length being one of them), can backup Harris and be a leader on special teams. 7. DE Olsen Pierre > value pick who would have to fight to make final roster. Release: 1. OLB Jason Babin > I favor Pace over Babin if I had to pick one or the other. Pace is an established leader in the locker room and provides a high football IQ for the younger players. Also do not forget about IK Enkempali, this kid can get after the QB and will fight for time this year. 2. TE Jeff Cumberland > Way too pricey to be backup TE. Amaro's role should expand this year as should Zach Sudfeld / Chris Pantale. 3. CB Darin Walls > cap figure of $1.1 million, not happening, Marcus Williams beat him out for the starting role last year and he is cheaper. Goodbye Darin! Revis, Cro, Skrine, Milliner, McDougle, Williams, and Curtis Brown should be the list. Antonio Allen also has corner experience which will probably be the final 8th spot, penciled as a safety with flexibility to change to corner. Keep on Radar: 1. WR Denarius Moore > We still need someone to stretch the field, only guy we have at moment is TJ Graham and Chris Owusu, expect management to bring someone in to compete.
  20. Free-Agency: - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick [1 yr, 4.5 million] - RB CJ Spiller [3 yrs, 15 million] Extend: - DE Mo Wilkerson [6 yrs, 75 million] Release: - TE Jeff Cumberland [ + 1.9 million] - OLB Jason Babin [ + 1.7 million] - WR Chris Owusu [+700k] Trade: - CB Dee Milliner to Browns exchange for 3rd round pick [+3.5 million cap space] - CB Darin Walls to Bills exchange for 6th round pick [+1.0 million cap space] Draft: 1. OLB Dante Fowler 2. OL Cameron Erving 3. QB Garret Grayson 3. CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu 4. FS Durell Eskridge 6. TE Tyler Kroft 7. OG Adam Sheed Go ahead tear it up. Just my wishful thinking.
  21. Just thought because we have an entirely diff front office and coaching staff that the Revis thing could be a possibility, although unlikely I agree. One year deal works best for Orakpo so that he can prove he is worth more. Keep seeing Mariota fall to us at 6 in a lot of mocks… Powell and Jarret may be a little over-paid but that is what happens during free-agency.
  22. Restructure: WR Percy Harvin [3 yrs. 24 mil] Release: RB Chris Johnson [3.5 mil free] LB Jason Babin [2.5 mil free] LB Calvin Pace [2 mil free] Resign: DL Damon Harrison [4 yrs. 20 mil] FS Jaiqawn Jarrett [3 yrs. 9 mil] RB Bilal Powell [3 yrs. 9 mil] Extend: DL Mo Wilkerson [6 yrs. 65 mil] Free-Agency: CB Darrelle Revis [4 yrs. 50 mil] OG Orlando Franklin [4 yrs. 28 mil] RB CJ Spiller [2 yrs. 8 mil] MLB Brandon Spikes [2 yrs. 8 mil] OLB Sam Acho [2 yrs. 8 mil] OLB Brian Orakpo [1 yr. 5 mil] QB Jake Locker [1 yr. 4 mil] Draft: 1. QB Marcus Mariota 2. WR Dorial Green-Beckham 3. MLB Eric Kendricks 4. FS Curtis Drummond Please note: This is under future cap, thus the cap is going up and players will be getting paid more. I will agree with you that we are over-paying for certain guys however in this scenario with our current cap situation and our league rules to spend a certain percentage of our cap this is not far from being a realistic spending with our cap situation.
  23. Re-Structure: WR Percy Harvin [3 yrs. 21 mil] Release: OLB Calvin Pace [2.5 mil] DE Jason Babin [1.5 mil] RB Chris Johnson [3.5 mil] Re-Sign: DT Damon Harrison [5 yrs. 24 mil] Extend: DL Mo Wilkerson [6 yrs. 65 mil] Free-Agency: OG Orlando Franklin [4 yrs. 28 mil] FS Rahim Moore [4 yrs. 18 mil] CB Kareem Jackson [3 yrs. 15 mil] LB Sam Acho [3 yrs. 9 mil] RB Chris Spiller [2 yrs. 7 mil] LB Brandon Spikes [2 yrs. 5 mil] QB Matt Moore [1 yrs. 3.5 mil] Draft: Trade: Jets > 12th pick, 2nd, 4th , 2016 2nd round pick Browns > 6th pick, 5th round pick 1. WR Kevin White 2. OLB Markus Golden 2. ILB Eric Kendricks 3. QB Garret Grayson 4. CB Quandre Diggs 4. OT Donovan Smith Notes: This accounts for rise in Salary Cap for NFL which will happen in near future. Get younger and faster at the ILB and OLB positions. Complete overhaul. Add another playmaker to an already impressive unit in Kevin White, Eric Decker, Percy Harvin, and Jeremy Kerley. Expect Diggs to compete Walls and Williams for playing time at the corner spot. With Jackson, Marcus Williams, Walls and a healthy Milliner and McDougle adding Diggs gives us some good depth and competition. Move Pryor into the box where he belongs and place Rahim Moore as starter for FS role. Our front 7 looks much stronger, faster, and younger with these additions. Quarterback position gets more depth and competition. CJ Spiller already said he would love to play here under Chan.
  24. First of all if you are saying I am a STATS guy then I would be all over Watt. His are clearly way better. I am not. Wilkerson is a disruptive player whose impact often goes well beyond the statistics, even though the emergence of other stars on the New York Jets defensive line helped him put up great numbers in 2013. He plays in a defense where a lot of the time his job is to occupy blockers. Watt moved around a lot more and was given a much more aggressive role because of his speed and versatility. He weighs about 25-30 pounds lighter than Wilkerson, so they are slightly different players. Houston ranked 11th vs the run on defense this year, the Jets ranked 5th. Wilkerson is extremely difficult to move and create holes, JJ Watt is too but I am saying they are similar in that respect. Watt may be more explosive, have better acceleration, and apply a lot more pressure to the quarterback, but Wilkerson is good in his own right. Do I think 10-12 mil a year is too much? Absolutely! But you are going to have a difficult time finding another player of his caliber and other teams will be happy to pay him instead. Besides Watt if I could have any defensive lineman for the 3-4 at this moment? I would take Wilkerson. Who would you take? Stats aside, who do you believe are at the top of the DE position specifically for the 3-4? I get it, you love Watt, he is a beast, best defender in football right now. Wilkerson is a beast in his own right though, and while he is not JJ Watt if you put him on a team that actually has an offense where Wilkerson doesn't have to be put on the field over and over again, give him a team worth playing for and you will see a different Wilkerson. My top 3 DE for 3-4: 1. Watt 2. Wilkerson 3. Campbell
