Good food for thought Paradis. Thanks. A couple of good responses but I had to stop and regurgitate at the one suggesting the Jets resign Geno

I am going to give it a bit more thought and then respond in full

We're not resigning Geno.  Fitz is a goner and tbh it wouldn't break my heart if we also cut Petty and Hack.

The Bills offense was ranked 7th this year.

We wish we were ranked 7th this year....

With scrubs like Marquise Goodwin and Robert Woods as Taylor's primary receivers.

Did you Taylor play @Seattle?  He would have won the game if it wasn't for a botched call by the refs -- Fitzgarbage and Petty only wish they could play like that.

Let's think logical for a second.

    - Hack won't start the beginning of 2017.

    - Neither will Petty.

    - We won't draft another one high.

    - This leaves Romo, Cutler, Glennon, Tyrod, Kaepernick.

    - it's anyone's guess who we grab at that point. My hope is for Tyrod.

Knowing the history of this franchise we'll take a pass on Glennon and Taylor and go with Petty, Hack and a 3rd or 4th round pick scrub like JT Barrett or some crap and go 1-15 next season.

Cutler hasn't been good in quite some time, is well over 30, and isn't good for a rebuilding culture.

I can see Cutler in Buffalo or Jacksonville next season.

    Pass on Cutler

Not only is a he a prima donna he's having surgery on his throwing shoulder.  Let the Rams go waste money on him

And I'd guess your being so deeply and completely wrong for so long about Geno Smith require you to talk about anything but Geno or how you rooting against the Jets and rooting for our QB to get injured.

To each their own I suppose.  Keep the dream alive, Cleveland 2017!

Did Geno Smith insult you in public or something?

The problem with this is if you paid attention to how Goff played, and not his stats, you would never have traded all those picks to move up for him .  The other thing is, Prescott fell into a perfect situation and is making the most of it. Goff has ability to be a franchise QB, but he wasn't any more ready to start in the NFL than Hackenberg was .

College football doesn't prepare anyone to be an NFL starting QB .

Goff is horrible.  As bad as Petty is and I don't think Petty is good at all he is better than Goff and Lynch.  And I think Petty sucks.

Dude how could you even watch that for more than 5 seconds? I don't like Hack either but seriously who is the John Grden wannabe has no clue looking for clicks dude narrating that garbage?

Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

Watched the entire thing and hey I recommend putting it on mute because you can still see in minute detail just how horrible Christian Hacknberg really is.

He's being benched and if they foolishly don't want him I'll take him. He's no Unitas but he is a capable starter with good running ability. Seems like the owners are running the show in Buff. Which means they have a steep hill to climb. Doug Marrone knew what he was doing 2 years ago. I don't even think that Rex deserved to be fired after two seasons even though I dislike the guy.

Bills are turning into a complete sh_tshow.

Fire Rex even though they were competitive this season and 8-8 last year.  Benching Taylor to start EJ Manuel over Cardale Jones just shows stupiditiy on their part.

Kim Pegula is running the show up there in Buffalo.  Beautiful lady but she knows nothing about football.

I agree. You snag Taylor, you draft either Fournette or Cook, whoever you will be the best NFL player & your in business. Looks like Shell might be our answer at RT (imagine if he's 3/4 the player Art was?).

That means you try to renegotiate Mangold, lower his salary but give him 2 years if he wants to stay. Trade Sheldon to Dallas for Ron Leary.

Now you have a QB with escape ability which really helps the tackles.

So you have LT?, Carpenter, Mangold, Leary, Shell. That's a pretty good Oline! With the biggest question being LT. Macc might have to sign a short term older hold the fort vet. But maybe we can find a LT in the 2nd round this year?

Im not a big fan of resigning Mangold but if he agrees to a lower salary & 2 years he could retire a NY Jet. I'd cut Marshall (disruption seems to follow this guy & he's never been to the playoffs, we have to remove bad mojo from this team).  Decker-Enunwa-Anderson-Smith-Peake-ASJ is plenty to work with. You add a dynamic RB like Fournette or Cook & you've got some explosion now that you have 3 WRs with 4-2 to 4-4 speed out there in Anderson, Smith & Enunwa.

I think Mangold is done and even if he's not he is not worth even $5-6 mil which is the most drastic paycut he'd be willing to accept.  Even if his ankle heals properly he's at best an ok player at this stage of his career.

Sign AQ Shipley from Arizona to be our starting Center next year.

he actually wasn't putrid in preseason.

    What preseason were you watching?!?!?!?!?!?

Hackenberg looked horrible facing 3rd stringers.  No feet, totally inaccurate he can't hit the broad side of a barn with his throws, can't make reads but then again didn't even know any of the offense so who knows.  If it he didn't have Allen Robinson his freshman season I doubt he would have even been drafted by an NFL team let alone 2nd round pick.

We know nothing about Hackenburg and the way he's looked this season.  any article like this is all speculation.

Hackerburg is no less of a pick than he was when they picked him.  You might have hated the pick then but nothing should be viewed differently because he hasn't played this year.

    Not true.

He was bad in college after Robinson left, putrid in preseason and has been so bad in practice

    I disagree with that.

    That is all conjecture.

There is a very good chance that Hack sucks. But none of us will know for sure until we see him play in a live game or he completely flames out.

For now, the Jets stated plan was to not let him play at all this year so the only thing one can accurately derive from this decision is they are sticking to their guns.

With that being said, I hope I don't break my TV when that worthless piece of crap Fitzpatrick throws his 9th INT Sunday.

Ludicrous plan to waste a roster spot on a 4th qb when most teams only carry 2
