I live in Austin now too, I think it could work, especially a stadium south of the River which would only be 75-90 min from the San Antonio area and tap into that market too. There’s 2.2 million in the Austin metro and growing versus 1.8 mil and shrinking in Buffalo. (They definitely shouldn’t build a stadium in downtown Austin which is becoming a sh*thole I avoid at all costs.) Most importantly, Austin has a growing roster of cash rich tech companies and some private equity too. There’s good potential for suite sales which is really what drives all this. Jerry Jones would probably do everything he could to prevent it. This is mostly Cowboys country. That’s probably the biggest hurdle to Austin eventually getting a franchise. The people here love football (sure we have our fair share of soccer loving hippies too but this is Texas). Austin has this hippie reputation but the truth is it’s become a big money town.

Personally I am a fan of retaining good football players and with WRs there’s always an injury so we need the depth. But he comes with a sizable cap hit and it could be used elsewhere or deferred to retain all these draft picks.

I’m on board. He’s a good OLB fit for this 4-3 scheme where LBs play off the LOS and emphasize pass coverage.

Jabril Cox looks really good as an OLB. He can cover and he can play the run in the box. And this team needs an OLB badly. I’d pounce on him.

Playing QB for the Jets is a snake pit and it has more to do with NY and the media and the reputation that surrounds the Jets as opposed to the actual 2021 Jets team. Wilson is going to go thru adversity here, we all know it. At least he admits it. At least Manish is gone.

I get it, but do you really want to move Becton too? Becton is much younger and can be the long-term solution at LT, why stunt his development.

It's not the worst idea, because Fant can be cut for just $2 million in dead money and $7.85 million in cap savings. So in a sense it partially pays for itself because if you sign Williams you can cut Fant. However, the main roadblock may be that Williams is a competitive guy and may WANT to go somewhere where he can play LT, not RT which is a less important position. And I'd be hesitant to take Becton away from LT at this point in his development too. If he's willing to play RT I'm down.

Jets are gonna have to hit on a starting guard in the draft probably at #23 or 34
