  1. Agreed! The 20th pick could hopefully translate into a contributing player in 2015 PLUS next year's 1 and 2 adds more bullets to the Jets gun next year. If Bradford doesn't work out this year, Fitzpatrick is a capable veteran to stop the gap until the Jets can try to find their future QB with 2 first rounders the following year.
  2. I'm not so sure about this. If he's as unpolished to the pro game like many have insisted, it would serve him well to ride the bench for at least a little while, if not the whole first year. It would be a tough sell though to have the 6th pick not contribute much if at all in year one, but that might be the best move. Time will tell....
  3. The move creates depth and he's a solid locker room presence, and at the vet minimum, it's low risk. Not much to complain about here.
  4. If all things stay the same and the Jets don't draft or trade for a QB, I think Geno and Fitz will fight for the starting job during the preseason. I don't think it's a lock like some say here that Fitz will be handed the job.
  5. Kelly is full of crap. There is no logical reason for him to play his cards about Mariotta. Worst smokescreen ever.
  6. Sanchez cant be let back anywhere near this franchise. We already traded for one stiff, why bring back a similar stiff that we had previously run out of town? The extra pick doesn't make it work.
  7. I have a feeling that Bradford might have been the target for the Jets all along and they trade the 6th pick to the Eagles for him if Mariotta is still available. I wouldn't be a fan of this. he's too brittle to put the franchise on his back.
  8. Different folks calling the shots........also two years have passed to gauge the status of his knee.
  9. I don't mind Fitz coming here. Options are good, aren't they, even if both options stink? Doesn't a double negative become a positive? My head hurts.
  10. Would love to see Cro back which would completely eliminate the need to even consider a CB in the first round. I know Izdik is gone but the horror of his reign remains in my memory.
  11. Leave Rex alone. Leave him to his own devices and let him ruin another offense in the AFC East.
  12. I don't think this is a smokescreen. The Titans don't have a proven starting QB on their roster. I don't see how they don't take Mariotta. I've always felt that the Jets would have to trade up to get a QB in this draft, and I still think that's the case.
  13. Revis has played free agency better than just about anyone I've ever seen in the NFL. Good for him! Revis Island is back!!!!!
  14. YES!!!! I think this might break the internet!
  15. Does Brees make this Jets roster a Super Bowl caliber team? If so, then the Jets would have to pull the trigger.
  16. With every cornerback we sign, the less likelihood that the Jets blow up this site and take a CB with the 6th pick. That's a good thing.
  17. I'm surprised at the lack of love for Kaepernick here, especially with Geno looming as the starting QB in 2015. He would be a massive upgrade over Geno. It can't hurt to kick the tires and see what the Niners want for him.
  18. Good. Hoyer was not a better option over Geno. if the Jets aren't going to draft a #1 QB or trade for one, I'd rather give Geno one more year with a much improved WR squad to see once and for all what he's made of. Taking up space with a stiff like Hoyer serves no purpose in my opinion.
  19. I like what he's done so far. Lets see what happens with free agency and the draft before some of our beloved fan base decide to run him out of town. I personally think he's gonna do good things here. Famous last words but...
  20. Cowherd is a blowhard, Marshall for a 5th round pick is a steal any way you look at it and any of these so called "experts" that say otherwise are just trying to be controversial for ratings/page hits.
  21. The Marshall trade gives the Jets more leverage negotiate a more Jets friendly deal with Harvin. if not, they can let him walk and keep the 4th round pick. I think this is a win win here.
