  3. I wonder if there are stats on the number of wins/losses we’ve had in history on all uniform styles. I also have another wild conspiracy as to why all of our QB’s suck. Our team is green and white, we’re literally the same colors as the field. In a game where QB’s have to process 30 thoughts in a nanosecond I really wonder if its hurting us to have colors that don’t stand out better. I don’t know, Im desperate at this point Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  4. It is the QB’s job to read and call out coverages and blitzes pre-snap. Do we have the best OL in the NFL? No. Is it the worst or even all that awful? Absolutely not. GVR is a liability but everyone else is more than serviceable. Many of those sacks are on Zach because he either didn’t recognize a blitz and didn’t get the ball out quick enough, or he didn’t read the coverage fast enough and took too long before the rush caught up to him. Much of the awful stats you presented are precisely Zach’s fault. Last year’s OL was much worse, and even with that you saw a marked improvement when
  5. I’d love nothing more than to be proven wrong. I thought Zach was a terrible prospect, and I made that clear before he was even being considered a prospect at 2 overall. There’s absolutely nothing special about him. He has a great arm, but it’s not some generational type strength. It’s not the strongest in the league today by far. He’s not very big; he’s not much of a running threat, and he’s awful at reading plays at an NFL level. What am I supposed to be excited about? People comparing him to Josh Allen as a prospect are laughable. Not even close in arm strength, not even close in run
  6. And outside of week 1 his protection has been more than sufficient. Let’s not pretend a QB should never face pressure. The QB needs to understand to get the ball out quickly. Zach is not Mahomes or Russell Wilson. He has no business playing street ball. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  7. No, I suggest he learns to read a D, call for the right protection, and get the ball out quickly. You know, basics of being a QB. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  8. I mean, maybe someone should sit Zach down and tell him honestly that he’s nowhere near as talented in any regard as Mahomes and therefore should start trying really hard to be a good scripted QB within his means and capabilities? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

  10. Not all. Go back through my posts and you’ll see multiple times where I said I felt Allen had the most upside and may well be the best of that class, pre draft. I think a lot of people want to see the same level of talent in Wilson because the alternative is we made a bad pick again. But Zach is not nearly the prospect Allen was. He’s much smaller, doesn’t run as well, and as good as Zach’s arm is, it’s not close to Allen’s. Allen was very raw but his measurables completely overshadow Wilson’s. 11. Joe Douglas good moves off the top of my head: Jamal Adam’s trade Leonard Williams trade Morgan Moses signing Franklin-Myers off waivers 2nd rounder for Darnold (good compensation though I didn’t like trading him away, I felt we should have had him start this year as a lame duck QB and let him take the beatings while the team grows) Signing Corey Davis Signing Keelan Cole Braden Mann Carl Lawson (maybe) Not overreacting to pressure to sign Maye long term Joe Douglas bad moves: Ryan Khalil James Morgan GVR Drafting Zach Wilson (my personal opinion) Denzel Mims Robbie Anderson Perriman Becton(

  14. I really wonder how many people on this forum actually were actively watching football when Brady started. He was literally a carbon copy of what you’re seeing with Mac Jones. There used to be threads on Jets Insider debating whether Brady or Pennington had a stronger arm. This is how Belicheck brings on QB’s. He shortens the field and makes the game simpler. It’s also why so many backups looked good early on and went on to stink for other teams. Mac Jones has faced top level completion at every level of his football life, is extremely smart, and plays with a chip on his shoulder. The
