  1. So in a nutshell your logic is if Zach stinks a superstar will be upset and hurt his feelings. Let’s keep signing sh*tty players like Perriman and Davis so they don’t hurt Zachy’s feelings. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  2. Listen, unfortunately my team has demonstrated they have no ability to entertain on a football field so I have to root for other forms of entertainment. The board meltdown of either DT/DT or S/DT for 4 and 10 will have to do. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  3. They should double dip at DT with 4 and 10. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  4. A few? He missed on just about every one. And if you take your green colored glasses off you’d see he missed on QB too. Building through the draft requires good drafting, we’ve had one bad draft and one very suspect draft that’s leaning towards bad really quick. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  5. Why shouldn’t we expect that, the other team that was in contention with us for being the worst franchise ever in the league just went to the SB with their QB in his second year? But remember we know so much about running a business and balancing checkbooks. Have you seen our cap space? It’s like we’re a dynasty in the cap space title! 6. Becton can’t stay on the field and already lost his starting job at LT. He’s nothing to count on, but I agree I’d hate to see JD fixing his mistake from two years ago with a first rounder again. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  7. It’s so awesome the Jets are great at balancing checkbooks and running business. I didn’t know that’s what I should have been rooting for these last 40 years. I thought they were supposed to win football games. **** man, imagine that I’d have had so much more joy if I knew I should root for checkbook balancing, do we have a trophy room for that? We must be #1 right? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  8. Being really honest? No. Douglas’ first draft class was awful. He threw a heap of trash at WR thinking he could get cute with guys like Perriman and Davis. As a GM he has presided over 2 QB’s drafted within the first 3 picks and he’s done nothing to help them. I realize he’s not the reason our cupboard is so bare in terms of depth and he did pull one over on SEA. But if you look from the perspective of someone who doesn’t nor ever did see Zach as a premier prospect worthy to be picked #2 and most certainly shouldn’t have been plugged in as starter, I’m looking at a GM that drafted a disastrous Mims, severely questionable LT, and a bust of a QB in 2 years and did the bare minimum to help both QB’s. I don’t hate Joe Douglas but I don’t subscribe to this idea that he deserves to see out some multi year rebuild plan when what he’s done so far looks really questionable. As for the coaching staff, I have great pause in praising a guy that says his defense is so simple a monkey can call it. A defense like that requires a high level of ability from the players rather than a more complex scheme that puts lesser talented players in position to make plays. This means we will have to constantly use high resources in the draft and FA. I was excited when they came in but that excitement eroded quickly over time, and what bothers me even more is the audacity that Saleh sits there calmly saying we as fans have never been through a rebuild as if it’s a ticket to put his feet up and blow off losses like they’re ok. We’ve been through this rebuild for decades now, we just never had a coach that expects us to assume that his rebuild is automatically so much better that we all should be fine waiting years for any progress. As for the players.. Braxton Berrios is our only pro bowl caliber player and he’s a punt returner. No, nothing excites me about this roster. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  9. 2 knee strains that he never missed time for looks worrisome? He missed one game for a hamstring pull, meanwhile our golden boy missed nearly half a season. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  10. Again, I like players that play well and stay on the field. WR’s with hammy injuries that knock them out for almost half a season don’t have me running to fit his yellow jacket yet, especially considering his per game avg was 49 yards. So far Moore is a nice player. If the team is putting all their eggs in his basket then I predict disaster. If we field Davis/Moore/Berrios/rookie then the rookie had better be the next Chase because as it stands right now we have nothing close to a superstar at WR. 11. Yup his scouting reports are grand. I’ll contain my excitement to when he actually does anything in the NFL. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  12. Hope in one hand and sh*t in the other, see which one fills up first. I don’t think Tua is very good, but he’s worlds better than Zach is and likely will every be. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  13. He’s a young elite athlete. He probably had sniffles for 2 days like most people who had Omicron, which was the variant he was hit with. I’m not sure what I said that made you think I alluded to mid round but I don’t consider his draft position when I see him as a player. He has decent talent, but he’s shown nothing to make you count on that talent and think you hav the position solved. As it stands today in my opinion I think we have one of the worst WR corps in the league. Corey Davis is not a #1 and I’m tired of this team trying to constantly act cute thinking that some second rate castoff somehow finds his stride with us. #1 receivers avail themselves early. You know when you have one. We don’t. We have a decent 2 in Davis, and a decent 3 is Moore, and Braxton Berrios who unfortunately is probably our best and most reliable receiver. 14. We don’t have the luxury of employing a guy that the new coaching staff has decided won’t see the field until Vyncent and Jeff Smith both get lost on their way to the stadium. It doesn’t matter how talented he is, many new coaching staff’s have a target to make an example of and Mims is ours. He’s never getting a shot here again. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  15. The Mims project is over. He’ll probably be in the first wave of TC cuts. I highly doubt they add another project that can’t run a full route tree at all WR positions, which they seem to require. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  16. Well, we made a huge signing (by our standards) in Tomlinson and this team is literally in a perpetual faceplant soooooo….. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  17. Herm Edwards wasn’t as bad a coach as you think. He had some really great coaching qualities. There, I said something nice. I actually miss the Herm Edwards days, it was infinitely more entertaining than what we have now. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  18. There’s always prospects that we’re better prospects than current elite prospects, just about the dumbest argument ever. Hell, just about every college QB ever was a better prospect than Tom Brady. DK Metcalf has proven himself to be a dominant force at WR and is arguable top 5 and definitely top 10, but remember great players cost too much and we’ll never be so greatly under the cap if we sign elite players. 19. Ok, so a guy that says Zach Wilson is gonna be a stud in pretty much every thread hasn’t been stated? As a moderator I’m assuming you’re counting all their posts and telling them their opinion has been stated enough? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  20. Dammit we’ll never win the salary cap title if we draft good WR’s or edge rushers!! I think we should trade 4 and 10 for the entire 7th round. Sad part is if we did that we’d still become a much better team than we are right now. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  21. Go look in a mirror and punch yourself in the face. This is why I know this fan base has no clue. Please go use google and search when Parcells was coach. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  22. Moore missed half the season for a pulled hamstring. You want a blueprint for someone who will always have injuries and miss significant time regularly, it’s the guy who misses half a season over a hamstring. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  23. Why can’t I state my opinion? Because I’m not fluffing the organization anymore? Because I see through the obvious and don’t join the kumbaya bullsh*t following of a team that is monumentally devoid of talent and the minions that insist good talent is just too expensive? There’s literally a ratio of 100 fluffy everything is awesome posts for every one of mine yet you single me out? Really? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  24. Cool point but in case you haven’t notice we suck in every month. Except right now actually because we seem to be right in place to win the cap space battle. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  25. No worries, next year will shape up for more of the same, lest we be saved by CJ Uzomah! [emoji849] Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
