  1. No chance, Zach is still a liability. Middle ground is Daniel Jones. Zach will be lucky if he’s ever as good as Jones to be honest. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  2. He’s the least threatening to Zach because he’s so much older and has no potential to be the future QB so he doesn’t cause controversy. The Jets aren’t interested in fielding the best QB they’re interested in fielding Zach Wilson, and they want to do everything to make sure the narrative remains that Zach actually is the best QB. With Flacco it’s at least debatable, if they bring in anyone better it threatens that narrative. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  3. This fan base is hilarious, we don’t want the best players in the league because they’re too expensive……. Hence why we’ve never had any of the best players in the league. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  4. Gosh if Carson Wentz is purgatory Zach Wilson must be the 7th realm of hell Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  5. A #1 receiver is a receiver that can make plays against double teams and the opponent’s best DB’s. Corey Davis is a perfect example of why you need a true #1. Davis put up very respectable numbers as the #2 in TEN with AJ Brown handing the double teams and best defenders. Davis came here and became the #1 and failed badly because he’s not good enough to handle it. The Jets have not had a true #1 receiver since maybe Santonio Holmes for a hot minute. 6. Carson Wentz is a modern day Sam Bradford. I have no idea how that guy got so many chances. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

  9. If you’re giving up picks, give them up for the best receiver in the league, not Metcalf. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  10. Make Davonte Adams the highest paid receiver in the league. Give up our 4 and next years 1 to do so. Trade down from 10 and net a pick in next years 1st and we’d still have a 1st in both rounds along with the best receiver in the league. If you believe in Zach this is a no brainer. If you don’t believe in Zach this will expose him, because if he can’t succeed with Adams/Davis/Moore as his receivers then he just sucks and now everyone would know. If he does suck we will have the most attractive offense for a FA QB to step into and win. Packers can’t match an offer after giving Rodgers 25% of their entire cap per season. 11. They can promise all they want, they franchised Adams because they can’t afford a long term contract. We can, and if Adams wants it bad enough he’ll sign. It’s Adams that’s making a promise to Rodgers to stay in reality, and he’s got millions of reasons to break that promise. Unless of course Rodgers is giving up his salary for Adams. 12. We have 3 1st round picks between these next two years including two this year. Davonte Adams is worth 2 1sts in my opinion, and frankly any team willing to hand GB those picks has GB over a barrel because I can’t see how GB can match any valid offer Adams gets. Adams is the best WR in the league and will be for years. He’s the weapon you give a QB like Zach Wilson because it will answer all you need to know about Zach, and if the answer is obvious that Zach ain’t cutting it then you are literally the most desirable offense for a potential FA QB. So my question is this: if we were to offer up the two picks for Adams hypothetically, is t both of this years pick or 1 this and 1 next year? If it’s one and one (assuming it’s this year’s 4 overall since that is ours) my proposal is trade down from 10 to net a 1st for next year. We’d have Adams and still have a 1st this year and next. None of this Cooper nonsense, put your money where your mouth is and give Zach absolutely no excuse for failure. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  13. No, if Zach doesn’t take a big step this year what you do is work to sign the top FA QB that hits the market or draft his replacement in the first round. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  14. If the QB class this year was better, I no doubt would be in the camp of drafting one with 4 or 10. Problem is GM’s rarely swallow their pride. FFS we passed on QB’s like Mahomes and Watson because we had Hackenberg Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  15. Jesus Christ man, how insane are some of you??? He quit on his team last year so he could sit home and bet on games instead? Some of you need to find a dude in bed with your wife before you take blinders off. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  16. I think your terminology is wrong because the game has changed and the dollars dictated it. Top drafted QB’s are not developed anymore, they’re evaluated, and that evaluation is 2-3 years max sink or swim. The league can’t afford to develop QB’s drafted in the first round, they’re too expensive. Zach’s evaluation after his first year proves he should have been drafted much later and developed on the bench. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  17. I’m not advocating for drafting Thibs, but I find the hilarity of people who were clamoring to give up a 1st for the current NFL’s ultimate mental case in Calvin Ridley, or trade a boatload of picks for serial rapist Deshawn Watson, sitting here talking about Kayvon’s weirdness like it’s some terrible toxic trait Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

  19. Thank ******* God, this will quiet down the idiots that wanted to give up a 1st for him. This guy quit on his team for a full year because he was sad. He’s has every right to be sad or whatever he’s going through, mental illness is very real and needs to be addressed more and more. But the NFL is a billion dollar business with tons of people’s jobs on the line every day. That alone makes the investment incredibly stupid. This just put the cherry on top of all the stupidity. All the people clamoring for Ridley before this should stand in front of a mirror and punch themselves in the face. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  20. He played well enough to win the job over Mike White in TC. And that’s as good as he played all year. Great point! Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

  23. First of all Ekwonu did not play Guard particularly well in college even though he can. Second of all he’s 6’7”. Not that Zach knows what he’s doing when he can see the defense, but put Ekwanu in front of him and forget it. Unless you’re looking to minimize would be interceptions by blocking them with our our Guard?? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  24. Teflon Tom over here . I take a beating for saying the same thing. I think they should load this team with offense so it’s attractive to the best FA QB that hits the market/forces a trade after Zach craps the bed this season Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
