right, but aj brown was a 2nd round pick in 2019 and no one knew what he would become.  my point is we have young receivers that are not getting an opportunity but the jags of berriors and cole are starting.  I can guarantee if we cut those jags they are not starting for another team and davis is a number 2 at best.

We all want mims to play, and he’d probably make davis better b/c regardless of what the jets coaches say, mims is their most dangerous wr.  The jet coaches are so enamored with practices they’re not focusing on sundays.  Maybe they will now.  Embarrassment is a great motivator.

The issue is that most of their “off the street guys” are on defense….which I wouldn’t call the problem. The offense is all guys we’ve paid or drafted high up…and literally i dont think any of them have been good this year.

The defense seems to be playing relatively well.  They’re not giving up those big backbreaking plays and generate some qb pressure.  The young cbs are holding up.  They also seem fairly well coached.  The offense is the opposite.  The offense seems overwhelmed, which is probably a reflection of the OC.  Play designs are poor, several wrs are often in the same area which makes it way easier for defenses and also makes it more likely a ball will be tipped.  The only rb worth watching is fortunately the rookie.  The TEs are again invisible, getting 1 catch per game.  Berrios is the only reliable wr as davis seems to have the yips when someone is on him and nobody else gets separation.  Moore has potential but at the end of the day he’s small and got popped good yesterday.

the kid wasn’t perfect (obviously) he missed a few throws but please tell me where the open receivers are. I see a sieve of an OL and WR jogging their routes being completely blanketed. I also counted 8 drops.

Headline is that the rest of the offense and the OC are failing wilson.  And where are the rollouts?  The guy has no time to throw, this guy throws well on the run, they can’t design some plays to take him out of the pocket?

after 3 games davis has proven he is not a number 1.  I've can't believe the amount of passes he has dropped that touched is hands.  your 1 job as a received is to catch the ball especially if both hands touch it.  not sure if he had the case of drops at Tennessee and that's why they let him walk.

It’s easier to play wr with AJ brown on the other side.

With Moore going through Concussion protocol this week is Mims best opportunity to be active.

True.  But if he does not play, at that point you just have to believe the coaching staff has been using the practice stuff as a front for just not liking him.  Plus maybe crowder returns, but even if he does, i don’t see why mims shouldn’t play over cole who has been useless so far.

i want to believe saleh when he talks about mims but i also can't help thinking lafleur is maybe expecting too much and trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.  if mims can play get him in there.  he's god speed and size.  maybe he can beat some of those man match ups.  and it's pretty frustrating to see the alleged no. 1 receiver drop so many balls.

The best wr the jets have right now is, ironically, berrios.

The Mims things is just going to get bigger and bigger the more they lose, and they aren’t Winning anytime soon.

As they don’t score.  It’s not as if they’re losing 27-24.  They’ve benched their most dangerous offensive weapon and have scored all of 2 fgs in the past 2 games.  That’s the problem here.

This is me, in a nutshell. I expected a losing season, but never in my wildest dreams did I think we would somehow look WORSE on offense than we did last year.

I am legitimately shocked at how non-competitive the Jets offense has been. The team has 20 points in 3 games, including a shutout loss in game 3 and 14 of our points coming in garbage time of game 1. It’s just been unbelievably bad.

The jets have 3 points in the first halves this season.  No touchdowns in the first half.  And then saleh will tell everyone how well mims is practicing, then sit him.  And we’re supposed to applaud all this, as if the great pumpkin will come and make everything great.  Saleh should shut up about practices.  Nobody cares how these guys practice.  You score, we’re happy, we don’t care how practice went.  You get shut out, we’re mad and we don’t care how practice went.  He keeps reporting to us fans about practice as if this is actually what’s going to happen on Sunday.  The guy needs a reality check.

This looks a lot like the 2017 SF team when saleh first got hired. Now they’re good.

They’re learning a new system. The jets have drafted poorly and have no support for Wilson. Offensive line is garbage and the play calling even more so

This is a lost year and should be better next year

Talk about a team not lifting a rookie qb.  Protection sucks.  No running game.  Wrs and rbs dropping passes left and right.  And the hc won’t play their best wr.  Only this team.

You're probably right.  But the longer this drags on the worse it will be from a PR perspective.

The team that has scored 20 points in 3 games won’t play their best wr.  What other team would contemplate this?

  11. Also, saleh seems not to understand that what happens in practice doesn’t necessarily translate to what happens on sundays.  Keelan cole having a ‘good practice’ means nothing, while mims having a sub par practice also means nothing.  Put both of them in the game and mims makes an impact, not cole.  Again, saleh is more focused on the process rather than the result.

  12. I think they’re so intoxicated with changing the culture, it sounds like they’re running a college program.  Most of their focus should be on preparing a game plan for wilson to make it easier for him to get quick completions and collect first downs.  Instead they put wilson back there behind a porous offensive line expecting him to go through all his progressions while the line collapses and wrs can’t get open.

Now moore is out.  Davis sucks and cole/smith are invisible.  They have no weapons.  The rbs keep dropping passes.  You know what, not playing mims actually may help mims given how bad this team looks now.  He’d only look bad if the jets played him.

so what i got out of that presser from Saleh is that the players are either too dumb to execute, too chickensh*t to execute in real pressure vs practice, or not coached well enough to execute. i dunno man, it all sounds bad. literally our only silver lining is the youth, and the fact that most of them havent played together before...so MAYBE it gets better...not like it could get worse.

    Did he blame mims?

Saleh just now on SNY saying that Zack did really well this week in practice.  They all say this and it makes me nuts.  Coach, practice is not like facing a live fire opposing defense.  The intensity, nuances, and deceptions employed are different.

Saleh clings to this as if anyone outside of the organization cares.  Someone needs to tell him that nobody cares.
