    Seriously, what's your point?

GM had two starting OTs. I think it was fair to question Becton's durability (though I wasn't a huge fan of doing so). He drafted a project player, had a number of vets come in for depth. Big man goes down, he signs a vet that was playing pro bowl caliber last year... And of course he's injured the minute he steps in the building...

So, 3 of our 5 OTs are dealing with injury... I'm assuming your expectation here is that the 4th and 5th OTs on the roster are pro bowlers, correct? Because that's how most rosters are built?

Point is he HAD ALL offseason to adrress OL depth and he rolled with Becton and a 37 year tackle.....thats bad GMing

Yep - but what is it? We GM, CS, doctors, training staff? This problems seem to predate the current CS and GM. Not sure what it is, but I am tired of it.

not sure but JD had all offseason to get depth on OL and instead he rolled the dice with Becton and a 37 year old Tackle....

    Just not smart GMing

JD signed the best OT he could find. Everyone was begging the Jets to sign him. He goes down, and an rookie OT we selected in the 4th may be good enough to step in. The only thing other than wishing Becton was healthy or that we had 2 more picks this last 2 years that JD could have done, IMO, was try to figure out WTF is wrong with our medical staff/training staff. We seem to miss feedback prior to signing/drafting players and/or we are doing something wrong with strength training and conditioning. If this trend continues it will be another year leading the injured player category.

Nah, im not blaming "doctors" im blaming the guys in charge. 31 other teams seemed to have figured it out. Never heard "Oh man that Jags medical staff" cmon guys. This is NYC, if anything, they can prob attract the top doctors. This looks like Khalil Mack all over again. Wasted money on a guy who wasn't in shape and ready.

Yeah, he wasn’t qualified.  It’s why this place collectively shlt itself when they thought we lost him when we told him to go home and sleep on the offer.

Another note, has NOTHING to do with being qualified. This board loved the Todd Bowles hire. Some guys are not up to the HC gig. Been proven over and over. Or you can ride with a bad coach for 4-5 years because you rather "stability" Yea stability at 5-6 wins

I always wanted an offensive coach with a rookie QB....

BUT it is perfectly ok to want a guy, then evaluate him and decide hes not a good fit.

The top four cap numbers for the Rams are each Hall of Famers: Donald, Ramsey, Kupp, and Stafford. The top four guys on the Jets? Corey Davis, Carl Lawson, John Franklin Myers and George Fant.

Yep. There is this theme that JD is frugal, and smart in that way. Kinda, maybe towards not one player but hes invested ALOT of money in some questionable barely above average guys in a whole. Its a risky strategy in some ways.
